The front needs to be reworked but the side is really nice and the rear is just awesome. It's not flashy but I think it's how a GT should be.
I don’t really like McLaren styling but this one speaks to me.
Wonder what the bonnet angle would look on the side vent top surface so it has repeating flow . Maybe a slant on it.
ive had one for 8 months now , all I hear is is it a GT,, I would say no who cares , think they made a mistake with the name , just buy it its an amazing car to own 😁

After seeing the 720 S, all McLarens look a bit like "something's missing" to me when it comes to their styling.
This one has:
- a front that is too tall
- a side with a "not discreet enough" air intake, which makes for a less fluid transition from front to back
- a rear that is at the right height...but still seems a bit too tall because of the side.
I personally still prefer the 911 (Turbo/Turbo S) or a Bentley Continental GT as a GT

Z06 isnt a GT car.
Stingray is the “GT” car of the C8 Corvette line up. Z06 is the Track focused GT3 fighter.
I don't know if you can get your hands on it, but could you have a look at the Ferrari Daytona SP3.
What I don’t like is that the head lights are positioned too high and the front is also too high. It looks like the rear is more down than the front.
It has to do with the front line that is not in one line with the line on the doors.
That destroys the whole proportions and the whole car.
I would buy a Ferrari instead.
The reason for this is the same reason the C8 Corvette has its high position headlights: better visibility. It might be mid-engine, but it’s designed to be a GT. I’m not even passing it off as marketing; it all seems 100% intentional
If the headlights at least had a running light design element going further down (like the lights on a P1) it would be far less jarring

@@stormrider01 I should clarify: 2 inches higher over the wheel arch for the headlights means better illumination of the road at night. That’s what I mean by visibility. It’s the same reason why most economy cars and even most GT cars/everyday sports cars (Aston Martin DB12, Bentley Continental GT, Rolls-Royce Wraith, Maserati GranTurismo, Porsche 911, Aston Martin Vantage, Chevrolet Corvette, etc) have their headlights positioned above the wheels: better road illumination at night. For high performance supercars, such visibility is not as much of a priority, so they can afford to position the headlights lower and go for a more dramatic look. Just the perspective of a high schooler studying engineering (and one who did a NASA project regarding lunar scooter wheels)

How did this compare to the huracan evo
As a 570GT owner I love the performance of this “upgrade” but the looks don’t work. Looks too much like a C8 to me. No drama. Too bland. Did the same price you can buy a 570GT and a Bentley GT. That’s what I did.

Edit 2: okay, so I do see why ppl are referring to this as a supercar, but McLaren makes it clear in the marketing that this is designed to be a GT with the spirit of a supercar, and that this isn’t supposed to be a traditional GT
Those front lights are so wrong as they are positioned above the top of the wheels.

The only other mid-engine GT car was the Ferrari Testarossa. Ferrari reverted to front engine after the 512M/TR.
If i could afford a maclaren it be one of these.
This is the only mclaren comparable to huracan price 170k but this is new year manufactured
...no glove box in a GT
Besides the 750S I think this is the best sounding McLaren.

@@sk8089 ok...I have one. I've read the manual and can not for the life of me figure out how to open the glove box. I don't think it has one just by looking at the seems. The manual says there's a glove box but the people at the dealership and I couldn't figure out how to open it even if there was one.
I believe the Euro version has a glovebox, but the US version does not due to an additional airbag.

McLaren has recalled 18 examples of its 2022-2023 McLaren Artura and told owners to stop driving their supercars, citing a fault with the twin-turbo V6's fuel system which could lead to an engine fire. Nothing to be fake news on . I own a 2023 mclaren 720s (400k) cashed it out in full . I wouldn’t lie on a car that’s barely half the price of mine . Try again

The driver's air bag and the occupant restraint controller may be improperly connected, which can result in a deactivated driver's air bag that will not deploy in a crash.

I liked this car but once I saw one in person (not the first time) and I thought it was a c8 after that I don’t see the car the same because it can be mistaken for a car that’s around a quarter of its price.
Luckily you won’t be buying one so…you don’t really have to worry about it bud.

Everyone dislikes this design, but this is my favourite mclaren in terms of looks. Also seems like i am only one who thinks that front kinda looks like f430
looks better in person, the headlight design just looks odd on photos and video.
Same with the side intake look like the Senna's which was a track purposeful car this is a GT and should be more sensual

Contructive criticism here. In this kind of videos, you often are talking about a certain line or detail in a car while you switch to another take in the edit of the video that doesn't show excaclty what you are talking about, or it doesn't shoe you pointing what you are talking about. That feels annoying for me, and some of your knowledge is wasted.

This car is so awkward it’s advertised as a Gt car but doesn’t have the comfort , the styling is generic but still beautiful and subtle.. I’m on the fence about this car but I would EASILY choose an Aston Martin over this every time.

Honestly, I think this car lacks emotion and feels boring. Agree with the nose.
I hadn't seen the GT before, and when I saw the thumbnail... I thought it looked too safe. All the lines looked like they were designed by Volkswagen, which isn't bad, but not what you want from a supercar. Not at all acceptable for a supercar...
@@groundedgamingthey weren’t designing a supercar tho. They were designing a GT. This car is supposed to be a GT, and GTs are supposed to be more restrained by design. For a GT, this is pretty good

POS car... i've owned one of these for 9 months. 5th time at dealer for multiple issues. brakes squeal, hatch rattle, dash board leather shrink, keyfob stopped working even with new battery, car just went limp with Engine system fault.... do you really want a $250K vehicle that spends more time at dealer than at home with you? DO NOT BUY MCLAREN... BEAWARE. i really believe that anyone who says these are good cars is paid for by McLaren to say that.
