Tom, I genuinely believe you have the best car reviews on UA-cam. No hype, no clickbait, just pure authoritative, professional and engaging content. Thank you!
Oh, what a beautiful video of a very beautiful dream car! No one does automotive videos as well as you and your team. It was a delight to watch. Thank you Tom, Martin, and Rob 👍
Thanks for all of the extra work you do (for example, matching the color among four or five different cameras from different manufacturers--not an easy task!) to make your production values way above average for UA-cam. Please be careful with your replacement chainsaw, though; I've been watching your videos for many years now, and we want to keep watching your car reviews for many years go come!
Much respect to the team. Thanks to you also Tom. I think I speak for all your long time subscribers when I say we apprieate the work and time you and the team put into your videos. Until next tuesday...Malo Le Soifua.
The angles and tech you used to capture all of those shots deserves a mention. Thank you Mr. Campbell and Rob for lending your time to help put together a top quality review whether it's a six figure vehicle or an economy grocery getter.
THANK YOU MARTIN AND ROB!!! We can all agree that WE should all have such great friends. Thank you guys for helping to make these videos.. I’m jelly you get to spend time with such a great guy like Tom. I’d buy him coffee too! Cheers from California! 😎🤙
Excellent work, as always, Tom. I do appreciate the little bits about your equipment and techniques. I definitely believe that you set the standard for UA-cam car reviews, in all aspects. Rob and Martin's work is also much appreciated, if I have their names correct.
I was trying to put my finger on this particular style of car review, and I think I figured it out... Your reviews remind me quite a bit of the motor week car reviews. The Red, yellow, green segments remind me of the earlier motor week reviews. I hope this comes off as the compliment it is :) Keep up the good work, it does show in the quality of every review!! It is refreshing to watch an informative review that isn't complaining that the car in the review isn't some other car that the reviewer is biased towards :)
It's the prettiest supercar I've seen in a while. Love the big air intakes (that make the luggage area possible). It reminds me a bit of a C8 if one sanded away all the creases and replaced them with curves. I really love the styling... but... no question at all: I'd have the 911 Turbo S for this money. But I'd never criticize someone for buying this.
I was thinking about a deer jumping out in front of you while filming and sure enough you show a deer crossing the road later in the video. Thats the one thing I worry about most when I’m visiting upstate NY and NJ.
I'm sure I speak for all of us when I say that we'd love to have coffee and film cars with you. Another enjoyable video from one of my favorite UA-cam channels.
I like this car a lot. Design-wise. adaptive cruise control adaptive emergency braking lane-departure warning blind-spot monitoring Matrix LED headlights ... Some reviews say these are missing on the McLaren GT I hope they are wrong.
Excellent video as always. I have to laugh at 'not making SUV's'. McLaren has been around a while. Eventually an EV or an SUV may come out of McLaren. Best filmed video yet!!!
Wonderful video Tom! Btw, the thumbnail for this video shows a slightly darkened version of the car, which renders its color very similar to Porsche's "chalk". Not sure McLaren even offers this, but gosh does it look gorgeous!
Hot August nights is coming so soon to Reno! Come and see some history! (Might want to drive a motor home as hotel rooms are scarce!)Always the best produced content...thx to all!
It's about time? Thank you for a decent looking automobile! I am not an SUV or truck person but understand their appeal. Coupe or sedan, I don't care just give me a car. This was worth the torturous wait. Thanks.
Even the Portofino have Adaptive Cruise Control and Apple Carplay (as options). Aston Martin and Mercedes have that too. In this day and age, that should be part of the package for your "practical car", even if your car is not practical at all. Exclusivity is of course have some value, but without these features the exclusivity will be even greater.
To me, it's shocking how much this car is like the C8 Corvette, in terms of design and features. I'm sure the driving dynamics are different though. Something I haven't experienced in either case.
0 to 100 above 3s, well it seems you hit throttle kindly... :-)) For such a SoA sport car you should have tried it more to the limit or being in a circuit close to a pole position. And by the way, no head up display? I loved electro chromic glass roof. Thanks a lot for sharing unique experience with McLaren GT.
Though it doesn't look it, the road was kind of damp (it often is in the PNW). The launches where the tire broke grip looked kind of sloppy, hence the launch I showed.
Tom ; Country side views in this video was really a Stunner addition while white MC.Laren crossing through the white fence in the video. But unfortunately about this expensive car 🚘 the only truth is “Good for College or University going youngsters “. Not a long life car . Means charm for this will finish in 2-3 years as only sound & front doors 🚪 of this car is the attractive point . Else everything is lose to the pocket 🚘👈🏻.
Absolutely gorgeous car, inside and out. But it's missing everything that makes a great GT car and missing everything that makes a great McLaren. Because of this, it's proving to be a poor seller, with most sold based solely on its looks. The C8 Corvette makes a better rear mid engine GT at a third the price, which means you won't worry about going to Whole Foods when you daily it. Sorry McLaren, but that SUV you said you'll never build, well Ferrari said the same thing (in fact their CEO said he'd rather be shot than build an SUV), yet here we are months away from the release of the Purosangue. I hate SUV's, but a lack luster vehicle in their lineup is something McLaren cannot afford.
I think there’s something wrong with your pricing tool, just tried using it to get a deal on a Bugatti…? Just kidding. Really enjoy watching your videos as it’s neutral and fact based. Some of the other channels are starting to look like reality show…
Great video about a really great car. However, am I alone in disliking those doors? What chance do you have in a public or private car park? Fine when you park at home but you have to leave home sometime. I'd prefer some Lamborghini style doors. Equally as spectacular but using less space!
Over 3 seconds is unacceptable; Tesla Model S Plaid is faster, cheaper and more practical. We used to compromise and like those tiny sport cars because of the performance although they didn't have space for a third person or cargo ; but those numbers are not good anymore. The only thing that can compete with a Tesla is a performance manual transmission sport car. that feeling Tesla can replicate.
Tom, I genuinely believe you have the best car reviews on UA-cam. No hype, no clickbait, just pure authoritative, professional and engaging content. Thank you!
Thanks. Just trying to do what I'd like to see.
Less people have taste to enjoy his works.
Agreed 💯 %!!!
Yes! Been watching for a while and always great content!
@@DrivenCarReviews So did J. S. Bach.
I watch these partly to see beautiful Washington state.. really nice scenery in each video
Come visit. Just don't move here. We're full. 😁

My wife and I spent $219,000 on our house in 2008. If only the McLaren had been available then….optioned with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms of course.
That house isn't 219k today lol.
My wide was murdered. I bought the house and the Mclaren.

Tom, thank you for taking me to Fantasy Land, and I never even had to set foot in Disney World... Thanks to you and your crew.
That shot at 5:10 looks fantastic and high end!
This and the 12C are my two favorite "normal" McLarens, they have a great look and design and aren't overstyled like the 720 etc.
I have no interest in or ability to buy one of these, so i watched every second attentively. Tom gets me to watch basically anything.
Tom your channel is and should be the Gold Standard for car reviews IMHO. Thank you and the team for putting these great videos on UA-cam!
Wow Tom, another amazing video. Your dedication to excellence is enjoyed by all of your fans! I watch every Tuesday! Great work from the team.

Always a pleasure watching your videos, Tom. Your passion comes through every time.

Thanks Tom - great review, tech, and team!
Thanks to Rob & Martin. Great work guys!!
great review and your production values are out of this world.
I so enjoy your reviews, Tom! 😊 Amazing content, and exceptional delivery. 👍🏼 God Bless!
I like this car a lot.
Design-wise.
adaptive cruise control
adaptive emergency braking
lane-departure warning
blind-spot monitoring
Matrix LED headlights
...
Some reviews say these are missing on the McLaren GT
I hope they are wrong.
This car seems like a C8 Stingray (not to upcoming Z06) just with some fancier sheetmetal and cooler doors. Great review!!!!
Excellent video as always. I have to laugh at 'not making SUV's'. McLaren has been around a while. Eventually an EV or an SUV may come out of McLaren.
Best filmed video yet!!!
Thank you . . . I'll never own one but this was fun.
A beautiful car that was beautifully photographed. Excellent work, Driven crew.... as always!
Love ur channel and the quality of content. Thank you and the gents for making this happen. ❤️❤️❤️🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦👍👍👍
Not as striking as the 570GT, but I definitely love this car. For a mid-engined car, the sheer practicality it can offer is beyond insane!
Wonderful video Tom! Btw, the thumbnail for this video shows a slightly darkened version of the car, which renders its color very similar to Porsche's "chalk". Not sure McLaren even offers this, but gosh does it look gorgeous!
Tom Voelk and a McLaren GT?! I knew a great video was guaranteed. Thanks Tom!
awesome review! gotta love the longtail side profile of this car
Thank you all for this interesting review, best regards from the Netherlands
Thank you Tom and your Team!
Thanks for showing your friends. Good friends are key. I would offer don’t drone services, but I’m simple too far away.
Hot August nights is coming so soon to Reno! Come and see some history! (Might want to drive a motor home as hotel rooms are scarce!)Always the best produced content...thx to all!
Thanks Ron and Martin!!!!
Love this review! Keep the vids coming
Excellent review Sir
Great tripod choice.! Sachtler activ8 is the best tripod I have used by a country mile
Mine is the standard head with Flowtech legs. 3 years old. Best money I've ever spent.
@@DrivenCarReviews Thanks for reply.Ever thought about making a video about the camera gear you use for your channel ? The quality is outstanding.
It's about time? Thank you for a decent looking automobile! I am not an SUV or truck person but understand their appeal. Coupe or sedan, I don't care just give me a car. This was worth the torturous wait. Thanks.
Thanks guys.
nice little "subtle" dig at seattle's own (you know of whom I speak) and very much appreciated; if totally unexpected in a "rich guy's car" review
I was wondering when someone would comment on that line.
The car grows on you . It’s a great machine that. Deserves more love .
Phenomenal work, Tom
Keep the good work! Love your reviews!
Nice video. There are some similarities between this and a Corvette, from the front.
Superb review.
Best looking McLaren, even in white.
Hola y saludos al equipo de filmación .... excelente video ... super entretenido e informativo.
Tom… you’re among the best in the business 👏
Nice Job Tom !
Reliability and great aftersales service would attract new buyers
Good god that is a dream car if I've ever seen one
Love your videos Sir!
The divorce comment had me hysterical lmao love the review!
Love it...thanks team!

What is the obsession of car manufacturers with gloss black! Expect at least luxury brands like Mclaren to do different …
As always, excellent video!
Great Dream Car Review Tom!
You should do a review of the Ferrari Roma!
Why can't they ditch the piano black trim!!
To me, it's shocking how much this car is like the C8 Corvette, in terms of design and features. I'm sure the driving dynamics are different though. Something I haven't experienced in either case.
Got sound but video not playing. Dont have any issues with any other youtube vids.
Indeed a practical exotic following affordability Ace review
That tail looks very much like a lambo
Very cool car!
A practical exotic has large luggage space, comfortable seats and cup holders in my opinion. A mid engine Porsche is an example.
Bentley is another big example.
Porsche isn’t exotic though.
Tom, in your opinion, was the car well screwed together?
Great change from the usual "mundane". I did miss your twin's comments. lol

This thing gets better gas mileage than my rt challenger lol
I’d be terrified to leave this car outside overnight!
This is McLaren's take on an suv.

Interesting review... your neighbors who don't know you're an Automotive Journalist probably think you won the lotto!
They all know
The design remind me of the Corvette.
Do you live in University Place, WA? The neighborhood shots always look familiar.
I do not
No SUVs? Bravo, iconoclasts.
Big leagues, Tom. 🤑

We do have great friends and one of them is named Tom Voelk.

I think there’s something wrong with your pricing tool, just tried using it to get a deal on a Bugatti…?
Just kidding. Really enjoy watching your videos as it’s neutral and fact based. Some of the other channels are starting to look like reality show…
This looks a lot like the V8 Corvette in the front.
🔥🔥🔥
No Apple Carplay I’m out. LOL
I'd rather a C8/Z06 or GTR.
Is there such thing as an everyday McLaren 😁
... or world peace?
I’ll take a new corvette and with the leftover cash buy a SUV Mercedes G Wagon….
Great video about a really great car. However, am I alone in disliking those doors? What chance do you have in a public or private car park? Fine when you park at home but you have to leave home sometime. I'd prefer some Lamborghini style doors. Equally as spectacular but using less space!
NO THANKS. My wife and I would crack our backs trying to stoop down to get in it🥴😵!
They should go all the way and make a breadvan style variant, with an actually usable hatch.
Sorry but yes, there is a glove box.

992 turbo s all day…
Voelk Pedro! I thought this could be mistaken for the new Vette.
