Incredible shoe! First 18k in them yesterday was able to maintain a 4.30/km pace. I found the alphaflys would ruin my legs but after the run yesterday the legs feel pretty much perfect. Love them!
In my own test of the Adios Pro 3 and Alphafly 2, I actually preferred the Adios and it even appeared to be "faster" (or rather took slightly less effort for same pace which wasn't as fast as you LOL!) which did also surprise me a bit although I was never that set on the Alphafly 1 and always reached for the Vaporfly even for a marathon. Now need to test the Adios Pro 3 vs the Vaporfly.
Yes I watched that video Tim! I plan to do a stats comparison in your style as found a few differences in cadence and stride length but for speed and hr they were basically identical
@@BenIsRunning look forward to that. Think for me with my boat feet the clumpy and relatively heavy nature of the Alphafly 2 counts against them. They are 325g in my UK 13 which is getting toward everyday trainer weight. The Vaporfly v1 in my size is “only” 250g. Adios Pro 3 not light at 285g but a lot “lighter” and so 40g less to lift every step.
@@TimGrose yes I’m sure that makes a much bigger difference than for my tiny size 8’s
I just got mine yesterday and I can tell these are going to be great long run shoes even at less aggressive paces. These are for long mile runs and they are just so so efficient and stable that it’s going to be great to finally have a long run racing shoe that performs even at slower paces and can lift you out of the quick sand feeling that can happen over many miles. I can see myself using these for long run training days as well as race days. Can’t wait for my first long run in them!
After getting the Prime X, I realised how good the top Adidas running shoes are. I've ordered the Adios Pro 3's today and can't wait to get them on my feet. My other running shoes may end up back in their boxes if these babies work out.
What about Aap3 now?
I would really like these for the training I do! Thanks for the review. Just wish they were a little cheaper but no shoes seem cheap these days!
I mix brands all the time!
Nice vid Ben. Could you add the meta speed + in to make it a 3-way comparison or would that make it confusing lol
I certainly could
I guess adios Pro3 vs. Edge+ and adios Pro3 vs. Vaporfly most anticipating videos/reviews right now. And we want itttt....
Love your videos (though I always need to remind myself I’m a lot slower than you). So many brill shoes out now - Endorphin Pro 3 getting some great initial reviews as well.
Thanks buddy! I’ve got the speed coming this week and hopefully some pros soon too! I’m the space of a few months it feels like all the brands have just raised the stakes
The left pair hurt my feet! The right side was perfect. I had to return mine.
Hi Ben, where is the comparison with the vaporfly?
Really nice video, thanks. Do you have plans to get the mach 5's in a couple of weeks?
I think I shall eventually yes but maybe not as soon as it comes out. Got lots to rest at the minute :)
Great video Ben. I have wondered if Adidas and their shoes. I love Nike and have bneen only using those and the mach 4
Yeah I’ve never really dabbled into the adidas line up but these really surprised me!
Thanks for the review...👍👍👍
Bought metaspeed edge+ but I find it extremely jarring at slower speeds. Wondering if I should sell it and try these out. Can’t wait to see this comparison
I just fot both metaspeed edge+ and adios pro 3. Adidas is much better at slow speeds
Can you throw in some comparison to the Metaspeed Sky+ as well?
can i use this as an daily trainer? got a good offer of a pair, but i already have race shoes
How does this compare to the prime X
Hi Ben, It would be great if you could run Southsea Parkrun in Portsmouth. It is a fast flat out and back along the seafront 😃 I understand if you can't because of the traveling time, keep up the great work 👍🏻
Hi Ben.. Great video...i am curious , are you a midfoot or forefoot striker?
I avoided so far running in Adidas shoes because I simply do not believe that I should buy size 48. I wear 46 or 46.5 in all other shoes but according to Adidas chart I need 48.
Could someone confirm that 46 on Nike corresponds to 48 on Adidas?
Adidas and Nike have always been off by .5 in euro sizing with Adi being +.5.
*However I would disregard this euro measurement and pay attention to U.S. sizing as I've tried many different Adi and Nike both coming up the same as long as I match them with U.S. sizing
No
i wear Vaporfly1 - 47
Speed1 46.5
and i just buy AAP3 46 2/3
Are you planning a trip to Australia anytime soon Ben? Would love to see you doing one of the marathons down here.
I have a friend who immigrated who is live to visit but to be honest will be a few years. On the bucket list
@@BenIsRunning we would love to have you down here in Oz Ben. I love your work. So good watching you improve so much. Very inspiring.
My mixture of brands crime is usually, Decathlon, Brooks, injinji and nike haha.
is the turnover with this shoe later or early?
You're the complete opposite to me with Adidas shoes, I always have to go half a size up. I tried true to size and they're great up until about 2 miles in and then they get way too tight.
Same here !!
Will you be reviewing the adios 7?
I don’t have plans to at the moment
Hi…If u have time, pls compare Adios Pro 3 and Sen 8…Thk a lot 😁😁😁
👏👏👏
I love this shoe but I can't wear it for too long is because it hurts my heel after 20 km
Hey!
Just have to say that if you run your threshold sessions faster than your aerobic thershold, it’s no longer a thershold sessions. Just something to remember, so that you don’t get overtrained easily.
Love your vids. Love your progress recently. But still, threshold is threshold.
Keep up the great work, Ben.
Bonjour. Elles ont l’air super. Merci
Merci beaucoup
Random question, do you still use the streakflys?
Not random at all, yes I use them regularly still for my track and grass intervals :) don’t see them as a race option to be honest anymore as the lack of carbon means they don’t feel quiet as responsive but still a great shoe in my rotation
@@BenIsRunning Cool, thinking of getting them as a new session shoe, haven't heard anyone say much about them for a while but good yours are still holding up alright.
Wow first
🥇🎉
So nice
Don't forget to add the weight of the shoes in your next review :)
My scales are currently out of battery 😂
😂
@@BenIsRunning Should we all chip in for new batteries? 😄
