I'm surprised there isn't a resin printed support being produced to do this with one of the many different USB-C receptacles available. Seems it would allow for a much cleaner installation with much less cutting if one was designed right. I love the idea of USB-C charging my old PSP though, especially if a LiPo battery mod is done.
Thank you s turorial n to. Pero for me lng maiwasan sna ung umbok n wire kung dinirect n ung wire mula s connector n usb c papuntang board. Pra s usb c board nlng mgssolder. Pero thank you tlga s tutorial n to. Nakita qo dn spaces for improvement. Ngcheck dn aq s market ng ibat ibang usb c female n my proper cover for more stable usb c socket.
I suggest in some better tools if you can. Made me cringe a few times, especially with the finger nail clippers. Less is more 😊 Also this is only for charging the psp. The vcc and data lines weren't used.
Yeah would make way more sense to allow data transfer too. The question is: how fast would the PSP charge? Is there a risk to charge with too much current and damage it? I would like to try this mod (with the upper connector tho) but want to make sure it's safe (also - this would charge a 4000 mAh battery that I have installed using other tutorials)
I already saw one of your videos for PSP console… can i ask you to do one video where you are replacing psp joystick drift with the one from ps-vita or nintendo switch drift…
Hey brother can i just use the other usb ports in your link to minimize soldering and cutting to fit? The usb c port 1 linked already has the wiring and seems smaller.
@@boibudgetmeal thanks, I don’t have many of the supplies you have but, could I use a pair of scissors to cut the wire and scrape until I see the copper wire instead?
DO NOT solder the charging wires together like. Please use heat shrink as well…. ALSO do NOT use those two screws to hold in that chip. PLEASE just use a hot glue gun in this situation. Nice tutorial but a pretty rigged process.
Thanks for the tip but that hot glue wont hold the multiple plugging in and out of the usb-c. Believe me, I tried. Heat shrink tubing was used in the final product, hit was just not available during recording.
This is exactly the kind of mod I was looking to do and it seems like we have the same sort of tools lol. Saving this one for sure
Your blade skills make me quite uncomfortable 😅
