Can’t wait to see if Zach Kuntz makes it on here. He’s one of my top 3 favorite prospects in this draft. I like him even more than I liked Jelani Woods, and I LOVED Jelani Woods.
@@Narikvp A 49er fan's perspective. I don't think so for a few reasons. 1 being that I don't think he makes it that far, and 2 being that Kyle Shanahan was using much more 3 WR sets this past season, to feature Ayuk and Deebo together. Juan Jennings and juice were both basically TE2/H-backs last year.
Zach Kuntz is a super freak. Woods had good numbers. So did CJ Uzomah at his pro day. I’ve never seen anyone like Kuntz before. His RAS is higher than Kyle Pitts was. Kuntz has a 10.00 and it only goes up to 10!! Kuntz is basically the same size as Jelani Woods. Actually Kuntz is a few pounds heavier than Woods but ALL of his numbers are way higher.
@@NathanDean79 has Kuntz not transferred outta Penn St he'd likely been the first TE off the board. Never seen a TE his size have that much explosiveness with his vertical & 40 time combination. Am hopeful my team gets him & may fall to the mid rds due to how deep this class is & cause others are getting overhyped media attention like Darnell Washington who's less athletic the same size as Kuntz yet Kuntz gets ignored since he's not part of the media's marketijg direction to put on a pedestal.
FWIW, Darnell Washington played at 275-280 lbs. As a Georgia fan, I laugh every time I hear the take he can't get "separation". This kid's body and reach are his separation. He's always open. You can find a catch in last year's Florida game where the DB is all over him and it's like a little kid trying to keep the ball from a grown man. I've never seen anything like it. The most important thing people aren't talking about with Darnell and his blocking is that Monken ran most of the passing game through Darnell, not just because he is a great pass blocker but also because he's such a great blocker in space. Monken designed a ton of plays to get the pass into someone's hands in space behind Darnell for yards after catch. There's no defense against that. If you put Darnell on a team like Atlanta who already has a top "receiving" tight end and let him be complementary the way he was with Bowers, he can can literally change the way you play offense.
Went to school with a guy that is a QB-to-TE convert, and he made freshman All American team this year. Hope to see him on your list in a couple years 🤞

Agree with the Kincaid rank. I watched the Utah/USC game and Kincaid caught EVERYTHING. And he did it hurt (think it was a knee strain?). In a pass heavy offense, he could easily be a top 5 TE in yards/receptions year one.

They might be looking for a blocking TE... but Kuntz doesn't seem to be a blocking specialist... but trust me this dude is like CANDY for Chris Ballard lol.

I'm really gunning for the Bengals to nab Washington. We got a Kincaid-like player (Irv Smith Jr), but we really need an extra blocker on the O-line, and that's where Washington would come in. He'd really improve our run game as well as helping to keep Burrow from getting sacked. Those two bits along are worth their weight in gold for an offense like ours. I really hope the Bengals pick him in the draft. I know they potentially need an RT as well, but Washington could be our TE1 for years to come.
I think he'd probably rank around the 3rd-5th best receiver in this draft class, so not a bad option for a team desperate for more receivers (like the Ravens, Titans, Giants, or Falcons).
What most surprised me about Kincaid was how good he was after the catch. I was expecting a smaller tight end who could run routes and catch the ball, but what I didn't expect was him to break 1, 2 , even 3 tackles to make it a much bigger play than it otherwise would have been.
He has excellent body control. Some of these other bigger TEs, even if they successfully truck someone, can lose balance easily and go down. Kincaid is able to take hits and maintain his balance without toppling over as easily. His basketball background probably helped him develop that ability.
