Hey man I'm a diesel mechanic and a new home owner, so I guess what I'm trying to say is I know hardly anything about plumbing and carpentry type work. I'm glad I found this channel and I'm glad people like you take time to do how to videos for guys like me. It's great how I can come on here and find whatever kind of video on things I might face being as a new home owner. Good video!
Dude you rock! I haven't lived on my own for long and I've never installed any sort of appliance (haven't even put up a shelf before), but you made the whole process super easy and fun. Washing my first load of clothes at home. Thanks x
Nah.... we decided it is not his wheelhouse.... I do the plumbing. Needed him for a bit of the brute strength in the new house though.... trying to plumb in the washing machine whilst 6 months pregnant was a squeeze! 🤣
Thanks to your video, I got the knowledge and motivation I needed to surprise my dad with having installed his new washing machine before he arrived back. Thanks a bunch!
Just Plumbed my washing machine myself using THIS video. Thanks for posting.. Made it so easy for me. the hardest part ws moving the damn BEAST of a washing machine lol! =)
As a plumber I always tell people to turn off the water supply when not using because busted washing machine hoses are the biggest culprit for insurance claims. The working pressure in my home is 90 psi. I also recommend changing the water supply hose every 5 years whether it needs it or not. Your video's are fun to watch.
Your videos are always so good - going to uninstall / install old and new washing machines in my house today for the first time (no one will come around due to Corona Virus fears) - thanks!
Just saved myself £18 by self installing washing machine. Confidence gained by watching this video. I dragged my old one to the main street and it was gone within 3 hours.
That was really useful for someone as useless as I am. Thanks. Ive just called someone out to install new hoses -he was amazed! The old hose pulled away from the red screw on nut completely and I couldnt unscrew it. Am I right in saying that if the red and blue taps are always switched off when not in use you cant get a water damage leak? Thanks.
Excellent video, thank you. One question please, how much room should we allow behind the washing machine so we can accurately measure depth and make sure a machine fits into our space please?
Top video. Can you advise on connecting the washing mac waste pipe to the sink waste? should I cut the washing mac waste to keep it as straight/ short as possible? it smells bad. Cheers
So, didn't watch the video properly and almost flooded my kitchen.... Watched it through properly after screaming at the hot water firing out at me, and now I know how to actually do this properly. Thank you!
Just want to say thanks for this video, we are getting a new machine on Wednesday and my fiancè has had an operation so he won't be able to do it but all is good coz now I know how to do it. Thanks
Great Video, thank you. I have just moved house and the two pipes for connecting the washer both have red taps on them, my washer is c old fill only how do I know which is the cold water pipe? Many thanks.
hi PP..... great video! thanks... I thought it was more difficult!! Im going to have a go myself!! Ive pulled her out... but see that my waste tube doesnt have a ubend tube fixing to the wall, it seems to go from machine back to outer wall and then to the other side ( outside) and down to the drain. Q: can I just cut it off so I can remove the old washer..??.
yes i did level the feet. the thing is that one of the side for the washine machine is not directly touching the kitchen unit. there are like few inchs space left. i guess thats why it shakes? it stops making that shaking if i put oressure on with both my hands and all my force..lol.
Drum Bearings shot on LG needed ear protectors anyways still on warranty so drained it via the small lower access panel Having a small hand truck helps LG no warning call sent a guy 180 mile round trip after a month without one and phoned me needing a hand to load it on his van Thanks for vid
I would not recommend using a wrench on the new plastic fittings ...they should be hand tightened only as they are now built so the pressure of the water tightens the joint.....over tighten and you will crack the inside and possibly the out side of the joint.
Thank You very much, I found out why our clothes smell because we didnt have a drop for our washer, pretty cool that I learn that a longer cord would stop the smell,
@Plumberparts I am trying to change an existing sink into a utility room and was hoping to get some insight on the best way for the drain pipe- in this video I can see there is no waste pipe for the washing machine drain pipe? Is it not something necessary to prevent smells coming back up?
I have the u bend with my washing machine but I haven’t got a waste pipe in my cupboard… I have the option to connect my washing machine directly to my sink waste pipe, do I need to change the pipe or can I use it? (I hope that makes sense lol!)
Thank you for the video, very informative. I wish you had some magic tricks for carrying the old machine from the 3rd floor in building without lifts lol
Hi. I live in a council flat and it has no drainage. Only place there is is under the sink with about a 12 inch gap from the top. So theres no room atol under there. Anything I can do? Just drain directly into the sink ? Or would it be to high?
good video .....amazing how many people think they need to pay to have a washing machine installed, its hardly complex, and certainly not worth £25.....
It depends if you have to fit the washing machine iv + waste trap then it could cost you that in parts but yes apart from that if you have the basic tools ie water pump pliers it no problem very informative video 🤓
I've paid Currys £30 to install mine and they flooded my kitchen the first time then came back and reinstalled it and its still leaking...time to do it myself and ask for my £30 back...oh and the grand to pay for the floor :(
My existing washing machine only has a cold inlet pipe but the new one which is coming this week has a cold AND hot inlet. Can I just connect the blue and block up the hot one ?
hi thanks for the video upload i have a new beko wm61116 washing machine looks loike 4 transport bolts and my plumbing is on the same system as my sink i cant get it to flow properly and not sure what to do about the transport bolts could you help me please lol
I just bought a home in Sweden and the washer (functioning) was left behind by the seller. I don't remember much about the electric bits and don't see a power switch on the machine. Would I find it in the small electric box mounted on the wall behind the washer which is screwed shut? My fuse box is fine and I turned the water supply on, but there light indicators on the machine do not turn on nor does any cycle begin, despite already being installed.
Hi. I need to install a dishwasher. It needs to go next to the washing machine. Thing is how do prepare the plumbing for it? What needs to be in place so the delivery man can just install it when he gets here? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!
i've got i think the exact same new washine machine(hotpoint) but it shakes violently so i 'm not running it. i've only had it brand new and it doesnt seem to fit with the kitchen cabinet. there's a little space which i think causes the shaking. Any suggestion on how to make it fit? are there any adjusting part that i can buy to stop the shaking? i'm thinking about putting pool noodles between the spaces to stop the shaking. the last thing i wanna do is to buy a new kitchen unit.
What about grounding the machine? I live in what seems to be a quite an old apartment complex from the 60s (Eastern Europe) at the least and I don't think the outlets are ground. We also need to use an extension cable as the bathroom doesn't have a plug. I've heard everything from just getting a surge protected extension cable, to attaching a metal wire from a metal piece at the back of the washing machine to the cold pipe, to changing the entire plug. I have no idea what to do and am looking to hopefully not shell out a lot and have someone dig up my entire wall. What are your thoughts of this from your experience?
Thank for this great you tube video. Please can you make one on completely removing an outside toilet. I want to make my outside toilet a utility room.
I connected my water supply from the cold bathroom tap *upstairs* and ran it down to the washing machine *downstairs* but its only trickling water out seems to be low pressure I used one of those easy clamp devices that you just screw on any tips?
me again, I have hot and cold water filling tubes... when i try to untighten the hot, water comes out..... is this excess h20 that is in washer? Shall i still remove and catch in bowl? cheers

Hi. I live in a council flat and it has no drainage. Only place there is is under the sink with about a 12 inch gap from the top. So theres no room atol under there. Anything I can do? Just drain directly into the sink ? Or would it be to high?

I've paid Currys £30 to install mine and they flooded my kitchen the first time then came back and reinstalled it and its still leaking...time to do it myself and ask for my £30 back...oh and the grand to pay for the floor :(
I just needed to know which way the water valve went to make it work so thank you
So, what is the best approach if you are still getting smells from the drain hose, but it's installed just as you've shown here?
great clear video saved me some money thanks!
My existing washing machine only has a cold inlet pipe but the new one which is coming this week has a cold AND hot inlet. Can I just connect the blue and block up the hot one ?
Thanks, just about to but a new one and the company is charging £50 to install it so think I can do it myself now. Cheers
You made it look so easy mate...I’m off to do mine now, thanks. Obviously I’ve subscribed 👍🏻
So those pipes connecting to the house pipes are generic fittings?
Would you expect to get those connecting pipes with the machine?
When installing washing machine should the connection to water feed be tightened by hand or with tool.....
hi thanks for the video upload i have a new beko wm61116 washing machine looks loike 4 transport bolts and my plumbing is on the same system as my sink i cant get it to flow properly and not sure what to do about the transport bolts could you help me please lol

What if the hot/cold water taps are obscured behind nearby cabinets and very awkward to get at. Would a Rothenburger wrench do it?
all quite on sunday morning, then washing machine blew the bleeding door off ?? only had it 16 years lol. nice refresher, thanks a lot.
Rlly easy to understand! U saved us some money:)

when you buy a washing machine, are hoses (water supply and sewage) included usually or do you need to buy any of them separately?
Yes, they should be
Thank for this great you tube video. Please can you make one on completely removing an outside toilet. I want to make my outside toilet a utility room.

Will two drain hoses fit? Washing machine and dish washer?
Hello, Would it be ok to have the water pipes to the washing machine outside?. I am concern it will freeze in winter and damage the machine
Thanks mate. easy to understand.
I connected my water supply from the cold bathroom tap *upstairs* and ran it down to the washing machine *downstairs* but its only trickling water out seems to be low pressure I used one of those easy clamp devices that you just screw on any tips?
Can you fit the water pipe the other way around.
if I didn't remove the green part and let the machine work forminutes is there will be any problem could happen
If by green part, you mean carriage bolts in the back, yes... you can totally shred the gears/motor...
me again, I have hot and cold water filling tubes... when i try to untighten the hot, water comes out..... is this excess h20 that is in washer? Shall i still remove and catch in bowl? cheers
This has given me the confidence to try doing this myself. Thank you! 😊
Like this guy video's it helps me at my new house.
