Already, I know I would like this dude Beau Willimon - one b/c the writing, weaving and craft and steady pace with which this story is told has been masterful. Second because he used a word I use deliciousness of getting things DONE. As soon as I heard those words, I knew - I have to meet this person some day and hear more about his writing, more about his thought process. How they either got rid of him for season 5 or why he left the show seems strange to me. It'll be interesting to see if the same quality of writing will hold up for next season. I'm also looking forward to Willimon's future projects for sure.

Politicians sculpt their personalities. They only want you to see their best. Its very plausible that people in both parties could be like underwood. In fact, I would argue it would be easier in the DNC as you can very easily avoid the stigma of being a bad guy in politics.
