Thank you for the lecture. I live near St. Anthony's Monastery. I have visited the grounds, but hope to visit again and spend more time there. I am a believer in Christ from an evangelical background. I grew up in Utah and did not know about Ancient Eastern Christianity. I am learning about the Orthodox church. The doctrine, prayers, orthodox study bible, etc. have been a tremendous blessing to me and helped my faith and my heart. From my background attending Divine Liturgy is new and feels very foreign to me, but fascinating. I am trying to understand through experience. Thank you for your work, I have watched many Trisagion Films!
Amazing stories! My wife's favourite saint is st Paisios, so lovely to see these pictures of his house etc This is one of the very best videos we've seen, thank you for making us laugh, and bringing us so much through these wonderful films. God bless. 💖💖💖💖🇬🇷💖💖💖💖 🙏☦️💙☦️🙏
When we read of these contemporary Saints and Elders in book club, I sometimes think, “Where was I? What was I reading that I was so ignorant of these accessible holy individuals sharing the planet during my lifetime?” Thank you, Father, for being the bridge / conduit for the missed opportunities to encounter these holy men!
That was delightful. Enjoyed the story about St. Porphirios and the ants and loved the picture of fr. Panayotis' young wife. She's as beautiful as ever today! 👑
Thank you so much for sharing not only Love also several devout men that I believe deeply feel the power and impact of being only One... Only... And thats it- more love; at times, than say - a million. All my love, thoughts and prayers to Father and the patient and faithful lovers of God. Like a martyr, deep and selfless, giving one's self away to our Ultimate desire and to refrain from that which may lead us away from the Greastest Love of All ( thats Whitney Houston ) it's holding on and giving away at once. I love you, thank you again for your enlightenment on me and I pray so many more. Best to you and our family, Angela C.E.C.
Yeah, you can do it. I did. Recently. Don't even have to be from or in an Orthodox country, just need to have a church near you. These days, they're just about everywhere. I have one down the street I didn't even know about. It's become my church. Beautiful people, some converts like me, other's born and raised in it. All loving each other as brothers and sisters in Christ. I don't think every parish is as spiritually healthy as mine, but it's worth looking into. Christ is in his Holy Mysteries no matter what, he's always here.

I wish Father would have said St Porphyrios slapped his wife on accident. I remember when he brought this up in another video on UA-cam and it scandalizes me for about 5 minutes til he said it was unintentional. I wonder what these Roman Catholics think 😂.
I am seeking to become Orthodox. Question. Does your giving a lecture at the Catholic University mean that you are willing to be in communion with the Catholic Church?
@@Trisagionfilms thank you. It appears that Fr. Panayiotis is endorsing the Roman Catholic Church and not witnessing. But that of course is appearance.
How does it appear that he is doing that? He said nothing about the Catholic church in his presentation... Is it because he is standing in front of something that says Catholic University? He was invited by them to speak there he and many other Orthodox clerics were.
Your remark sounds supercilious, which I am sure you are not intending. As I am sure you are aware the Catholic University in Washigton is the flagship university of the Holy See in the US. For an Orthodox priest to speak there can only signal and communicate the desire for ecumenical relationship and communion. I am located in a small university town commonly called the 'Little Vatican'. It was not that long ago that a priest sex abuse case involving several Catholic priests, followed quickly by child porn discovered on the Bishops' laptop as he was passing through customs. That is the fruit of the Catholic Church. If your priest desires to have ecumenical relations with such abomination, it is on him.
We were not trying to sound superior to you my friend but this is not the case here. There is no ecumanestic agenda (at least not from Fr. Panayioti) but a simply innocent attempt to share with those who want to know the truth of Orthodoxy. He has been giving lectures at both Catholic and Protestant settings, wherever he is invited.

I can relate a lot to your history, I am living this moment now in my life

Can you guys recommend a book or two on the lives of contemporary saints and elders? I'm fascinated by your videos. I enjoy them very much!

Everyday Saints!
Check any of Archimandrite Sophrony books. You won't be disappointed! Greetings from a Catholic brother that loves his Orthodox brothers 🤗
Elder Haralampije, Elder Jefrem From Arizona,Elder Jefrem From Katunakija. Good luck!
5:10, the brother tells the story of elder Paisios who discussed with a man who feared of being stamped with the mark 666. A good explanation!

There are probably auto subtitles in english... perhaps even in Dutch.
I hope you find what you're looking for

No my friend Fr. Panayiotis is witnessing to the Catholics the experience of the holy Orthodox Church.
