    In this video, we'll be discussing the horrifying discovery that Zelda's Dragons are somewhat related to the death of a culture & race long forgotten...
    Tears of the Kingdom may have been a sequel to answer some mysteries in Breath of the Wild, but our theories will remain, who are the Dragons within the Zelda series? And why is their existence important to the Zonai, Zelda, and even Ganon? Thoughts are within this video.

    I believe the three dragons are the three golden goddesses, but instead of swallowing secret stones, consumed their respective pieces of the triforce. That would explain why the triforce has never been mentioned in the recent games, as they have been lost in legend. Because the zonai were descended from the gods, perhaps this is why the dragons share a similar appearance to the zonai.

      I think Goddesses don't exist yet, they create Triforce by ripping trough space-time and leaving, and that's what happens when Zelda uses the power.
      In Skyward Sword Triforce could be seen in 1st person view glimmering in the waters of Silent Realm. I think the past IS more like Silent Realm than "the past", and Sonia is the one transporting things there when they are on the brink of destruction, like a falling tea cup. It only becomes the past BECAUSE everything she summons there "falls back" into their place in the future. This is effectively what creates time and the upheaval: use of Recall and then the trajectory of items going into DIFFERENT direction.
      Rauru's seal is essentially stoping time, the same thing as happened to Link in OoT in the 7 year time gap.

      Like Sarah and Rifas said above: Zelda *HAS* the Triforce within her body. Wether she inherited it from her mother as part of a long history of Hylia descendants passing it down for thousands of years or she simply "happens" to have it by the events of Breath of the Wild Zelda is the current bearer of the full Triforce.

    Something that I find partially interesting about the dragons is that even in their “loss of self” states, they still have clear goals and motives, they aren’t completely feral like mineru has made them out to be. They are people who, like Zelda has said, are in a dream-like state and do not remember much. Each of the 3 dragons stay within their bounds of their respective spring, which they would certainly forget after draconification. And even in the end of TOTK (spoilers coming up) Zelda was there to help save and aid link against the demon dragon. Even Ganon- his desire, even as a dragon, was to rule Hyrule even at the cost of his sentience. So I have a theory, that even though the person who ingests a secret stone may lose themselves and become immortal, their last desire while consuming their stone will determine their destiny and duty as a dragon. Zelda’s last hope was to deliver the master sword to link to defeat Ganon, and so she was present to help link Defeat him. Ganons final wish while sentient was to rule Hyrule and to not be defeated by link, so even in his draconified state, he still had motives to destroy Link and Zelda for power.

    My theory has been that the three elemental dragons were Zonai attendants who oversaw the springs and underwent draconification as sort of a test of their devotion. The Ember, Charged, and Frostbite sets seem to me like they were crafted *after* the three Zonai became dragons, based on the headpieces being exact representations of the dragons' horns (the crafters of these armor pieces would never have known what the dragons' horns looked like beforehand to be able to produce an EXACT representation), and because, based on Zelda and Ganondorf's dragon forms, their dragon coloration seems to be based on what clothes they're wearing at the time of transformation. If the elemental dragons had been wearing those outfits when they transformed, their coloration would be different, so maybe they were all wearing ritualistic white robes with colored sashes similar to Zelda's and Sonia's dresses? Also that their names weren't originally Farosh, Dinraal, and Naydra; these names are keeping with the tradition of things associated with the three Goddesses being named after them, so the attendants of the three springs of the Goddesses would have Goddess-based names given to them to note their divine connection, but their original names would have been lost to time. Also x2 the spring attendants go down into The Depths because the Wellsprings of Power/Wisdom/Courage are down there, and part of their duty to the springs is ensuring that the Wellsprings continue flowing
    I'd think that there *must have been* someone who underwent draconification for so much to be known about what happens to the person, and for it to subsequently become forbidden. Maybe it was the three elemental dragons? Maybe the three Dark Skeletons down in The Depths are the remains of even more ancient dragons who swallowed a tear, not knowing what would happen to them and/or became violent in their dragon forms? Were those three killed by Farosh, Dinraal, and Naydra when they turned into threats? Was there some epic dragon battle in the very distant past that we've never heard of and have no evidence of besides the Dueling Peaks being "split by a dragon god"?

    I have a few theorys about the Dragons from BotW/TotK.
    1.) Draconifcation is a willful act that must be done with the intention of becoming a dragon, One can not be tricked into doing it or forced to in any way. In fact you could proboby swallow the stone on purpose and still not turn into a dragon if you have no reason to do so.
    2.) Dragons must have a purpose, and will inherit that purpose from the will of the person who swallowed the stone. The nature and power of the Dragon reflects it's purpose.
    3.) Dragons must also be receptive to their elemental nature. For most, this is a little or no consiquence. The Dragons' powers of Lighning, Ice, Fire, and Light serve the purpose of protection and healing, But the dark enregy used by Demon Dragon was intended for destruction, and therefore that dragon was likewise subject to destruction.

    Is very important to note Gleeoks are never mentioned as Dragons in TotK, because they are a spawn of Ganon's miasma, they technically aren't dragons, at least not in TotK. Aquamantis also is in a gray area, as it is a hybrid unicorn and a dragon, that's why it is so weak. I've always liked the idea (and for always I mean like the last 3 months since TotK got released) of the Dragons in TotK of being the result of versión of the oracles Farore, Din and Nayru after the eat the stone, but they being a Zonai is more plausible.

    Things to note about the dragons
    1. There is a sidequest in totk in which you fix the huge goddess statue in the lost temple, to do this u must find the shrine statues and offer the dravons body parts. However before setting of to do this quest at the behest of the statues you can ask questions. One of these questions are "what exactly is [dragon name]" and "who is [dragon name]". In which the goddess herself states that they are elemental spirits that have taken the form of a dragon and they are servants of the goddess (which was told to us in botw when the goddess asks us to free Nayraal from the malice).
    2. These dragons are invisible to the people of Hyrule, theres a man in kakariko thats part of an expedition telling you about the abyss hole he found near the village and that, for strange reasons, the atmosphere changes even when the sky is clear, telling Link about how he heard a legend from his grandma about the reason why the atmosphere changes was due to a dragon. Issue? As he tells you about this and starts feeling the changein the atmosphere, right in front of him is Nayraal descending into the abyss hole, yet he does not recognize nor knows the existence of the dragon in front of him. Not just him, there are other npc's who also have similar tales yet never seen them.
    3. Despite the architecture and encyclopedia mebtioning that the zonai may have praised the water dragon, the existence of the goddess herself was already a thing that the dragons knew. So while it is not strange to worship a servant of the godsess rather than the goddess herself, there no mention of Hylia anywhere in the zonai era. So if the dragons really are zonai (seeing as the goddesses calls them spirits), why is it that they serve Hylia when there are no recollections or any informarion regarding her?
    4. Might not be important but the mystery of the secret stones really is important to decipher the secret of the dragons. For there were 7 stones yet we have 3 dragons of elements. And for what we saw people must be born with these elements to be able to have secret stones amplify their abilities. So can they make more stones? How was draconification discovered? Why do the secret stones apply this power to mortals? Are they zonai property or the goddesses gift to mortals for a chance to defeat an ocerwhelming power? If so, what would require such power?
    We have so many questions regarding the dragons and their mysteries that I, at least, hope that we get an dlc explaining this

  • @Alkaris
    @Alkaris 9 місяців тому +208

    I would like to think that the DLC for Tears of the Kingdom will someway or another involve the 3 dragons. Breath of the Wild didn't seem to have much going for them and had a whole bunch of mysteries surrounding them, there were 2 quests involving the dragons however, one of which was freeing Naydra of Malice and offering up a scale to the Shrine of Wisdom to reveal a Sheikah shrine, the other being Dinraal in the DLC of the Champion's Ballad to shoot the glowing horn of Dinraal. We got no quests involving Farosh. Tears of the Kingdom did involve 3 Side-Adventures of the 3 dragons, by offering up 3 dragon claws to the 3 springs would it help restore the Mother Goddess Statue that was toppled over. Perhaps DLC for Tears of the Kingdom will introduce new lore and stuff with the 3 dragons like their origins, and the connection to Zonai. I would like to think that we will get more to do with Zonai, and maybe even meet new Zonai people who were thought to be long gone, that somehow Mineru and Rauru were NOT the last of their kind to exist within Hyrule as they might have lead to believe.

    • @sboinkthelegday3892
      @sboinkthelegday3892 9 місяців тому +6

      I doubt most of this, it's not their style to blow the lid off of everything like that. I think they're more iterative, they were thinking about Sonia when they wrote the Mother goddess statue, but by the time of TotK they don't necessarily mean they are the same person. They will take something and kinda extrapolate new lore, not return to clarify things that were left unsaid. Kinda write like fan-fiction of their own material, with a separation to things that came before.
      Next game, or 15 years from now they might dig up Zonai again, or leave them like the Twili. Right now, the sort of thing they might do is go more into detail about Yiga or Rito, something like that, but I THINK those would be kinda tiresome. And something like again dealing with the bargainer statues would be likewise a retread of what they did before. Bubbulfrogs might be something they're still working with.
      Honestly I don't see them doing anything but clear the table and make the new game, iron out ALL the ideas. DLC will come in some time, but it's probably kinda detached and really feel like a big bonus, trying to entice a new wave of buyers for a game as evergreen as this.

    What if Farosh, Naydra and Dinraal used to be the Golden Goddesses? It is theorized that unlike the Light Dragon and the Demon Dragon, the dragons of the Sacred Springs used to be Zonai. And since Zonai were like gods to the Hylians, the Golden Goddesses could have been among them. It would make sense, since Farosh, Naydra and Dinraal represent the aspects of the Triforce.

  • @rinthewolf
    @rinthewolf 8 місяців тому +11

    I personally like the idea that the 3 dragons exist because of something like Ganon. Some evil individual got it in their head to swallow their sacred stone to absorb its power better and turned into a dragon that went on a rampage. To combat it, the Zonai decided they needed dragons of their own, and 3 of their strongest and wisest warriors volunteered.
    After the battle, the Zonai tried to change them back, but couldn't find a method that worked. So they just let the seemingly peaceful dragons roam free.
    A bit later, the dragons all seemed to vanish as if they had left. Because they are now more powerful, they felt a pull towards the springs that act as a conduit for the goddesses' power.
    This would be how the Zonai found the land that would become Hyrule. The one who met the Rito was a scout trying to find where the dragons went, then returned with tales of the new land he discovered.

    My curiosity is in a lot places with TotK. One of the most prominent for me, though is:
    What would serving the springs entail?
    I think Zelda has made it apparent that if the will is strong enough, they can have some subconscious control over their dragon form. And after Tears of the Kingdom, seeing Naydra dutifully stand before Link until he takes the scale that Hylia asked of him makes me think that perhaps there is a possibility that there is an instinctual purpose to the three dragons.
    I’m uncertain what, since they strangely have changed paths in Tears of the Kingdom in comparison to Breath of the Wild. Why? I’m no longer sure that these dragons are purely animalistic, only seeing more territory to simply roam.

      The dragons seem to be driven by the intent of their former selves. Zelda's intent was to restore the Master Sword and get it to Link in the future so he could destroy Ganondorf, so she stayed safely out of sight until the Upheaval, at which point it was time for Link to take hold of the Master Sword and defeat Ganondorf, so she came down to where Link could reach her, and during the final fight she helped Link to defeat Ganondorf because that was part of the original intent. Ganondorf's intent was to destroy Link and plunge Hyrule into Darkness, so he was hostile towards Link and Zelda (who was the spirit of Light). Naydra allowing Link to take one of its scales is keeping in line with it being a servant of the Springs: for Link to use the Spring, he needed Naydra's scale, so Naydra gave him one

    Did you check out the Dark Skeletons on the depths below the so called leviathan skeletons on the surface?
    While the leviathans look like whales, the dark skeletons are long like dragons, but also much larger than the ones alive, maybe as big as Ganondragon?
    There is also another part of a skeleton as big as a dark skeleton, south of the construct factory, but that one does not get a name.
    These could also be dragons, dead ones to be sure, and that raises a lot of questions.
    And in case they aren't dragons, that also raises plenty of questions.

      If they are dragons they might have been either Zonai or some other race which swallowed a secret stone and was later dragged into _conflict_ against someone or something before been killed off and left to rot in the Depths after the battle was over. This could explain what Mineru told Zelda about the swallowing of stones been seen banned among the Zonai tribe to forever prevent the "Dragon Wars" of the past to forever repeat again in the future (which did as seen with Ganondorf's Demon Dragon form).

Topically it makes sense with why no one thought it was possible to return from the dragon state.

    I don't think the argument that the dragons were once Zonai holds because if they were, why don't they have the third eye that the Zonai have?
    I prefer to think that the Zonai are descended from dragons, and the secret stones are actually dragons' tears which is why they hold the power to turn people into dragons. I think Din, Farore and Nayru decided to turn into dragons because they got tired of seeing the cycle of destruction in Hyrule that was caused by Demise's curse so they just decided to check out and the secret stones they wept were because of their sorrow about how the Triforce was continually used to by Ganondorf for destruction.

    I've seen something akin to reverence for an eternal vigil in D&D with the elves, namely the creature called a Baelnorn, and in exceptional cases of High Magic. Unlike other undead creatures, the elven lich called a Baelnorn maintains their goodness as their transformation sacrifices their chance to pass into paradise after death in order to protect other elves and their heritage, a sacrifice that's seen by other elves and their religion as immense and to be grateful for. Similarly, exceptionally powerful High Magic rituals require the casters to willingly sacrifice their body and soul to fuel the magic that will benefit their people for eons to come, likewise giving up everything that they are for the hope that what they become will accomplish what their people need.

    As much as the series would feel repetitive with the same map (or at least a naturally readjusting map given believable shifts in the earth's crust and not having entire regions of the map swap over to the opposite side of the continent with literally nothing in the center effected) and artstyle. I still think it would be fun to experience each major Hyrulean Story in the timeline and i guess Link's Awakening also through the BotW/Totk it. Plus seeing major characters from these games including Zelda and Links respective reincarnations in the BotW/TotK artstyle would make the games feel more connected especially if they included races and creatures that never got to make it to the BotW/TotK games such as the Minish people, Lord JabuJabu, Valoo, the Robot pirates from Skyward Sword, Midna, and the Kokiri Tribe. Plus seeing how they reimagined the Gibdos Imagining enemies like Redeads, Volvagia. It just gets me fired up. I think it is because of how much i love the consistency of BotW and TotK. Plus with a theory that the Depths was once the former Surface it grants a lot of extra options to how Pre BotW Hyrule could be designed. Mixing and matching everything making the same map feel new.

    I think there is two ways how the three dragons became dragons. 1. I think there could of been more than 7 secret stones in totk. I believe there was 10 because of the three dragons. They could of swallowed there secret stones to become dragons. Plus they do look like they were zonai. They have power of fire, ice and lighting. That could of been the power of the secret stones. Also they serve springs. Just like the zonai served godess Hylia. 2. Or they could be spirits of the golden godesses. When they left the world I believe they took forms of dragons. Their gods so I don't think they'd have to swallow stones. So its possible. They could be spirits that protect the springs. Theres three dragons just like theres three springs. Wisdom, power and courage represent the golden godesses don't they? I think the spirts lie inside springs and maybe I even think the dragons. Maybe thats why there named that and that the dragons are as well? I also may just include this as well. I have a theory on the secret stones and the triforce as well. I believe that they are related. I think that the stones were made similar of how the triforce. I'm not saying they have the same abilites, but the stones grant enternal life. At a cost to become a dragon. They also give power to anyone who has it. So thats why Ganondorf went after it. It granted power just like the triforce does. Maybe the reason is when Rararu wiped out all the molduga with the help of Sonia and Zelda. I just know that it connects. Maybe to give off extra power. Thats the reason he wanted a secret stone right? Maybe secret stones ARE THE triforce. The were able to use the triforces power maybe because of the secret stones. I also don't believe that Rararu has the whole triforce or maybe he did because he could of passed it on from generation to generation leading Zelda to have it. I think the secret stones were made for the zonai or at least for people. While the triforce was made for Hylia to protect so it wouldn't get in the wrong hands. The triforce granted you a wish as well. Unlike the stones. So this begs the question if Rarau had the triforce then why didn't Ganondorf go after it instead of a stone? So that makes me wonder if Rarau had it or...was it the stones?

    My take: Zonai likely lived for a certain duration and i believe that three zonai were forced into draconification. Likely by a fourth party. This fourth party in my eyes can be 2 things:
    1) A dark influence that influence Ganondorf later on and changes his mood. To destroy hyrule which happens at a certain part in the story and 100% takes root when he transforms.
    2)Its not canon but in manga Majora's mask started out as a dragon. So what if Majora was a Zonai that experimented on the draconification and turned 3 people into a dragon. Then turned herself into a dragon. And got defeated by the Zonai. After which its power got sealed into a mask. Because evil can only be killed with the master sword. This sealing wasn't enough and so people of hyrule wore it leading to corruption my guess is that Majora is responsible for the killings happening in the shadow temple. And then later on happy masks salesman finds out about it.

    I think something to remember is that "Spirit" or "Gods" when translated from japanese usually refers to the Shinto concept of Kami, which are comparable to like... Godlings? Little creatures of power that own domain over a specific concept, location or natural phenomenon. Like a hearth fire might have a kami, beer has a kami, a specific back road has a kami, and the concept of thunderstorms has a kami. Anything and everything could and does have a Kami, and while youre expected to "worship" them in Shintoism, just like kami are "godlings" this worship is also not the same as a western audience might expect and instead is more akin to paying your respects at a loved ones gravestone. You bring them a little gift, sing a little song, and remember them for one more day.
    I'm not saying your interpretation here is wrong or anything, just that the concepts of "gods" and "worship" might mean something else for an eastern audience than it would for a western one

    I think an interesting thing is that the 3 dragons here from Tears of the Kingdom aren't intelligent, while the Spirits of Skyward Sword can talk. Plus, I think its interesting that the dragons take the colors and form that they do. For Zelda and Ganon, the transformation reflected them. Thinking that its because of the clothes seems odd, but could it be something they did, or something else that was special. Who knows how long these "special Stones" have been around. I always figured the Dragons were the three golden goddesses in dragon form, and/or the Triforce, since they each serve a spring of wisdom, power, and courage, and it would explain why all three are described as being female in the compendium.
    The goddesses can probably take any form they wish and wouldn't need Draconification to turn into dragons.
    Although I still wonder what happened to the rest of the Zonai. I joked that the Constructs turned on them. My friend said it was probably Ganon again, but it turned out that Rauru and Mineru were the only ones left, even in the ancient times of Hyrule's founding. Ok so i need every fan to think of this from where i am....
    So farore, nayru and din are not only named for the 3 goddesses but they can only be seen by those with pure hearts in BOW. Now its possible that link, zelda and ganon are linked to their respective triforce piece but i would like to posite the idea that the 3 draconified to protect the triforce. They did so in a way that would erase their presence from the minds of the people and those around them.
    Now i have always believed that at this point in zelda lore its possible that the 3 are literally fusing with their pieces on a spiritual level meaning that should link or zelda need it they can call on it even when its not in thier possession, now something i've noticed despite not having a newer system to play the games myself is that the 3 dragons seem to always give off blasts of their own element to some degree so what if they draconofied and the triforce cloaked them and beefed their power a little bit.
    First i believe that its possible especially if we take into consideration how old the cycle of the hero and ganon going at it is at this point then its possible that ganons memeories are fragmented or decaying he remembers a great power but not what that power was. Sorry this is long but even as someone who cant play the newer zeldas i still love and examine the lore from time to time

  • @danielmunoz1275
    @danielmunoz1275 3 місяці тому

    This is my theory, and as such, even I do not take it as gospel.
    It appears that BotW and TotK have their own continuity and are building their own lore. Given this, I think the origin of Hyrule's creation and the story of the Three Goddesses may be different than the one we were used to. I believe that there isn't such a thing as the Three Goddesses in this new lore. I mean, yes, there IS something, because the Kingdom still used the Triforce in its crest, and regions and altars hold the names of the three goddesses with their respective symbology.
    What I mean, is that the Three Goddesses were never actual Goddesses. Zelda describes by her knowledge of history and what she reads from the murals, that Zonai were considered Gods that descended from the skies to Hyrule. It is comprehensible why the Zonai were considered Gods, because of their advanced technology, powerful magic, and their possession of the Secret Stones which greatly amplified innate powers. The thing is that even the Zonai revered Goddess Hylia. The one who originally was told to be the Goddess in charge of protecting the Triforce and in many ways mother of the Hylians. Although there's only one statue of her in the middle of all the Zonai structures, it is probably that this was by influence of Queen Sonia herself. So, given all these I theorize that before Rauru and Mineru became the last of their people, there were Three outstanding (and probably leaders) Zonai individuals. These Zonai would be named as we know the Goddesses: Din, Nayru, and Farore. For some unknown reason (weakest part of my theory), they decided that it was best for them to become eternal and become Dragons using the Secret Stones in their possesion. It is thanks to their influence and their perceived Godhood by Hylians that they were known as the Three Goddesses, but both time and the decadency of the Zonai end up making the truth of the story blur a lot, and so Hylians have forgotten the real story. Not even recognizing the Dragons as what they were, but something that most cannot even perceive, and those who do do not pay it any thought beyond concluding that they're forces of nature.
    This will make that the only true Goddess would be Hylia, who is in charge of the protecting the Triforce. Since Zelda and her lineage are Hylia's lineage the Triforce has always resided within them. Zelda holds the Triforce and that is why she has light powers, innately withing her she has power over time, but her light is stronger even more so than Rauru's because she has the Triforce. Hylia entrusted the Triforce to her descendants and Zelda is the last one of them in BotW and TotK. Why does she not use the Triforce's allmighty wishing powers?? Well, I believe it is because it is another lost/blurred knowledge. The Royal Family only remembers that their female descendants awaken a divine power within them, but they never mention what it is exactly, because they don't really know. And think about it: Zelda awoke the Triforce Power only when her love for Link made her wish with all her might to save him. Then, the Triforce reinforced the Master Sword to the point gloom/malice wasn't an issue anymore and it always reaches Link no matter what. I believe the White Dragon did not help Link in the final battle just out of faintly recognition. I believe that was the Power of the Triforce making Zelda's wish come true: she wished for the restored and reinforced Master Sword to reach him someday, and it does ALWAYS, some way or another.

    Theory: the dragons were biological interstellar ship engines designed to ferry and protect the Zonai. Their inmortality and lack of mental flexibility was required to survive the mindbumbingly long centuries of acceleration and slowdown required to haul sleeping passengers from star to star. Emergency contingency protocols involving Secret Stones allowed any Zonai to become a dragon on short notice during a crisis. Capability for such a metamorphosis may have been evolved as part of the Zonai natural life cycle, augmented with genetic engineering.
    The original goddesses, including Hylia, were likely officers or captains of the original planetary colonists. Zonai may have been a separate interstellar civilization that arrived long after Hylia and her people had settled down into a peaceful agrarian civilization.
    Other giant creatures capable of spaceflight may have also been biological spacecraft that, despite their millennia-long lifespans / specifications, eventually died of old age. The Hylians may have traveled to the planet via such ships. The Great Deku Tree and Master Sword may be one of the last remaining functional artifacts of Hylia's original fleet.
    The Zonai dragons are still around and mobile since they arrived after the Hylian bioships did and are relative newcomers.

    I honestly think they are spirits or gods from the far past. Yes, I do agree that they may have once been Zonai- or even Hylians- but i for one truly love Dragons and wish they still do exist. But, These Dragons may have only been put into the game because of culture, to make it more interesting or to catch people's attention. Once, these Dragons may have been people who swallowed their Secret Stones in the name of Godess Hylia, to protect the land and keep evil from spreading. Because of my love and interest in Dragons, I would totally undergo Draconification (That may seem entirely weird and off topic but I just felt like putting that). I personally believe that the reason why the Dragons and the clothes appear similar is because a past village knew about them, thought of them as the creators or gods, and made clothes that match their appearances as to honor them.

    Does no one else realize the 3 dragons are the 3 goddesses of the triforce? Why they decided to consume the tear and become the dragons after creating the triforce idk. Look back at ocarina of time. They witnessed the power be subverted by Ganondorf, so perhaps after that incarnation of the 2, the goddesses tried to prevent this cycle by removing the triforce all together and eternally lock themselves away, creating the dragons we see in game.

    TP 's dragon was a boss not a mini boss. He literally gives you a mirror shard for crying out loud, and he was at the end of his respective dungeon. Those flying lizaffos don't count. Those were mini boss or basic enemies.
    Oh heck no. Dragons in zelda are not connected to the creation of zelda. They are connected to the goddeses but they are not gods nor did they take part in the creation of hyrule or it's sounding lands. They are surving sprits and have always been. This has always been the case. The zoni just elevating them to a higher status then they actual sit at. Have you never played OOT? The creation mythos is laterally told to us and skyward sword confirms it. Hylia didn't take part in the creation of the world she just watched over the triforce and the land left behind. The dragons of the time surved her. They even state this them selves. The latest dragons are the newset dragons on the block and are not related as far as I can tell to any of the goddeses other then in name only. please do your research before you post theories with miss information like this. It hurts.

    I believe, the three Dragons in BotW/TotK, SS and TP (or from whatever game that has one or more good dragons) are the Three Goddesses.
    In OoT, it is said that the Goddesses brought life, law and culture to the world and then left the world, going skywards (no pun intended), and at the spot where they left the world a Triforce of their repsective power was left behind.
    In TotK, the Sacred Tears are fetishes that amplify and manifest a person's inner power. A Sacred Tear will change its nature according to who holds it. But swallowing a Tear will cause one to turn into a Dragon and ascend to above the Cloud Barrier.
    What if, by the act of swallowing a Sacred Tear, one not only turn into a Dragon, but also one's Inner Power physically merges with the Sacred Tear, becomming a lot stronger than it could ever be with just holding the Sacred Tear, but being bound to only that one nature, regardless of who wields it at a later time, or only allowing individuals who embody that nature to wield it. But the body of a Dragon is itself a magical thing. Dragons are Gods, and the Gods can't wield the power of the Triforce. And therefor, when an individual undergoes dragonification, their Inner Power, merged with the Sacred Tear, is separated from their body and left behind in the shape of a golden triangle, a Triforce.
    With Zelda's dragonification, there should have been a Trifroce of Time left behind at the spot where she shawallowed the Sacred Tear.

      Perhaps immortal in the way Tolkien's elves are - not naturally dying, but perfectly capable of being destroyed. What kind of force it takes to destroy them may be nigh unimaginable though. Ganon doesn't seem to count because for whatever reason his stone manifested on his forehead where it could be damaged directly, and the rest of the dragons don't show any such weak point.

      Not exactly. If you look back in the memory, she breached the sky barrier that Hylia created and we have seen the three dragons breach this same barrier many times in BotW.
      It only makes sense that she was flying above the sky barrier the entire time, since she not only is capable of as much, but her slight hold on what’s left of her mind is able to drive her dragon form to a degree in accomplishing her goals. And healing and protecting the Master Sword would be priority number one as a goal for her.

    So totk and breath of the wilde are supposed to be in some future not beginning. I'm playing skyward sword and supposedly it is first mortal link and zelda. Now I say supposedly because of demise cursing them in end and the fact that ss has everybody ripping on link for not being good. In other games I think quotes are less brutal. If this is right one would just think one eras humans are next eras gods and it's possible the legends that these became did involve zonai, maybe or maybe not because zonai did exist at same time as early humans. Second hylia is most important but not solo strongest if you go by oot explanation of goddesses. I should add in my first theory that first war would need to have hylia as goddess to fight demise the first time. Which this leads to second theory which is maybe all the goddesses are in right spots and it's a closed time loop as in ss Zelda must pass through gate, becoming back to the hylia in goddess form that did all that stuff first and link is now first hero and hylia sent everybody to help him and somehow this Zelda is first human incarnation of hylia. And my thoughts on oracle games is 3 goddesses who left in oot got short time as humans in those other realms. I can't see dragons as goddesses because names and zonai learned to turn dragon. Also I think Zelda showed they don't all have to die. I'm convinced it kinda like Greek mythology where only gods go to mt Olympus, maybe in Zelda it's just 4 goddesses chilling. Except if it's door to time, it's not fool proof. At first I thought so much early stuff was zonai, until we met Sonia. Also I want dlc of first war so we can see if it was literal goddesses vs demons or if was time loop. There's enough scattered lore in diff games. Also back to note on dragons, if the Zelda/hylia thing is a rule for goddesses, should anything happen to the dragons, don't they just leave world again?. But anyway, for all this, wouldn't one need to take characters at own literal words? I think in this vid you had cs of dragons saying they guard springs or serve goddesses? Another side note, is it always a matching pair of link and zelda s? I mean time shennanigans

      The Golden Goddesses are NOT the dragons as they are _omnipotent_ beings who *CREATED* the Zelda universe and there's no logical reason why 3 omnipotent creator deities would lower themselves into mortal beings easily threathened by Ganondorf's Malice as seen with Naydra in Breath of the Wild. As pointed out by several people the 3 dragons look far too similar to Rauru appeareance-wise plus the 3 Spring Priest sets look Zonai-like in design suggesting the 3 dragons are Zonai _priests_ who swallowed 3 secret stones long ago to forever watch over their respective springs.

    Plus Zelda and Ganondorf Deserved a Different Dragon Design other than the Same Lame, Boring, Unimaginative Asian Dragon. Plus they look Derpy as Fuck.
    European or Western Dragons would have made more Sense for them, especially since they can be Big, Beefy, Muscular, and Terrifying. Or Elegant, Thin, Petite, and Gorgeous.
    But these Asian Dragon Designs for the 2 Main Characters is just Lame and Lazy. We've seen European or Westen Dragons in Zelda before, so why didn't Zelda and Ganondorf get a European or Western Dragon Design?

    • @javiervasquez625

      The Era of the Wild duology is heavily inspired by Studio Ghibli films which themselves are heavily inspired by both eastern mythology and folklore in their storytelling and artstyle as seen through most of their movies. That Zelda and Ganondorf took on such similar forms shouldn't be seen as a surprise since it's in tune with every other aspect of the games which heavily based themselves on aspects of asian mythology.

    • @RyuTama42

      Big, beefy and masculine is a pretty apt description for the Demon Dragon already though. He’s like triple the size of the other dragons with bulky aggressive horns and an actual beard.
      Similarly with Zelda, elegant, gorgeous, petite. Her features are thinner and less angular than the other dragons, with a majestic golden mane and silvery horns.
      Not every dragon needs to be Smaug or Saphira.

    • @AshePBlack
      @AshePBlack 8 місяців тому

      Actually this is partially right because a chunk of Zelda seems drawn from medieval was it German somebody said. But also yes eastern lore too. Which in ss for example we saw with the fish dungeon and yet the blue dragon was wearing something was it Japanese inspired. And also we got zonai looking goat like and assuming Zelda and Gannon looked like western dragons it'd clash too much. Sure they are of a different place but again they used zonai stones. A comment on duality coming out of Asian culture, nope it is much older but far as creative choice on a game I don't see it as lame. Plus it's like any game that fuses mythology, diff parts are diff things. Granted I didn't think Zelda dragon was prettiest but that not based on art style, it's based on fact I think other dragons look cooler. I kinda thought Gannon dragon looked awesome, maybe not super intimidating but monstrous, which is ok because a demon fused man turned dragon lol what were we expecting? Something pretty lol

    • @AshePBlack
      @AshePBlack 8 місяців тому

      @@RyuTama42and I think they did pretty accurate on stuff too, larger dragon slower it moves. Another theory, maybe due to game design reasons they didn't do western dragons cuz they didn't want wings in way. Imagine wing animations in that fight, yeek plus in Zelda don't they only give creatures parts of they are relevant to killing them? If they put wings in that kind of fight it'd be another hit the wings situation and Nintendo I noticed uses a similar pattern when do that mechanic. It's either like onyx in oracle games or Andross in Star Fox. Or since it's two dragons maybe they'd go at it and try to rip off wings, but see that would just change things and make horrible camera angles
