Haha yeah mike and I have this thing that happens sometimes when we fish shore and a boat. I’ll get them on shore and then he gets them in the boat. Its a trip, it’s happened like that a few times at different lakes haha
Hey rob another great video..we fished green valley sat it was tough fishing got a few decent ones between me and my buddy. I heard there getting them at cyumaca right now might hit it up this weekend...
Yeah Rob like Hemet for sure is one of the most Serene places on planet Earth. That was a crazy view when you took off your hat to see if you were recording. Lol great job man yell at you later
Nice job Rob! It’s a tuff lake to fish if you don’t know we’re to go! My favorite lake to fish brother! Yes there are hold over trout they hang out by the dam! 🤙👍😎
Hey Rob! Great job on the shoreline catching few nice ones. Couldn't believe the trout got away on the automatic hook set! Usually it's 90-100% effective. Mike sure did have a killer day with the spoons. Haven't tried Lake Hemet in such a long time since I was a kid. I'll have to check it out one day. Still itching to head back up to Mammoth Lakes again. Tight lines Rob!
Thanks Paul. Yeah those things are alot of fun but sometimes they just done hook the fish. Usually happens if there’s alot of weed or moss where your bait ends up.
I dont know alot about wilderness passes but im learning. All the spots where I was fishing you do not need one. Basically anywhere inside the resort you don’t need the pass. On the west end of the lake there is a fence and if you go beyond the fence that is where you need the pass as I understand.
Hey Rob! Another great video! I see you are running both the 4 and 5 pound Phenix Iron Feather. Which do you prefer? I am trying to decide between the 4 or 6 pound line from Phenix.
Honestly I can’t tell a difference between the 4 and 5. The 4 casts great and seems just as strong as the 5. Id say just go with what color you like best haha. Both are awesome 🤘
Great vid as always man🙂👍...just curious about those spoons....have you found that they work better on the lower depths or more towards the shallows? Or perhaps both (depending on the fish finder markings)?🤷♂️ Keep em comin my friend, lovin these. Peace ✌😎
The answer is yes to both. I have more success in the shallows but thats where the trout typically hang out if the conditions are good. They also work well letting them slowly drop out in deeper water. Another big factor is what the trout want on any given day. In this video I was throwing jigs all day but they just weren’t having it. They wanted spoons. The next day they may only want jigs or bait haha.
Another awesome video Rob! Thanks so much for uploading. Do you ever get out to Prado anymore? What about Silverwood? Have you ever posted any vids. from Silverwood? Thanks again!
I didn’t make it out to Prado much this season and the times I went I didn’t do so hot. I went out to Silverwood once this season but got skunked. I have a couple Silverwood videos from seasons past bot trout and catfish. I’ll probably hit both lakes this summer for cats and maybe striper 🤘
If im fishing bait and wait I usually cast no more than 10-15’ off the bank. For jigs, dropshot, or spoons I’ll give a full cast to maximize the retrieve time giving more chances for the fish to see my presentation but most of the strikes occur within 10-15’ of the shore.
Fun video Rob. I’m about an hour from Lake Hemet, I like to go up there to cool down in the summer and I caught trout there in the summer months. Thanks for the video and the fishing info as well. Tight lines 👉🏻🎣👍🏻
Great video again, enjoy seeing you catch trout!!
Thanks Lee 🤘
Frixken epic ! Keep the good times rolling brotha & holy heck mike couldn’t keep them off the hook @RHATACKLE lol
Bro, it just be like that sometimes... 😂

Nice. I still have yet to get one outta Cuyamaca. I had a toad break me off once but thats the closest I’ve come haha
Yeah Rob like Hemet for sure is one of the most Serene places on planet Earth. That was a crazy view when you took off your hat to see if you were recording. Lol great job man yell at you later
Agreed. Im really starting to love that place 🤘
Nice job Rob! It’s a tuff lake to fish if you don’t know we’re to go! My favorite lake to fish brother! Yes there are hold over trout they hang out by the dam! 🤙👍😎
Right on! That makes sense with what I was seeing.

Good job men
Great video. Lots of action. Releasing fish you don’t want plus when fishing from shore no silly waders standing 5 feet from shore …
Thanks Ken. Yeah I always try and practice catch and release. Just keeping the fish that don’t survive the catch gives me plenty to eat 🤘
beautiful lake
Agreed. Quite a few of the socal lakes are damn good lookin 🤘
Great video love Lake Heme....Is that just the wilderness pass you use to drive out next to the shore?
I dont know alot about wilderness passes but im learning. All the spots where I was fishing you do not need one. Basically anywhere inside the resort you don’t need the pass. On the west end of the lake there is a fence and if you go beyond the fence that is where you need the pass as I understand.
Great video !! Do you have to use a swivel for spoons?
No, you can use them without. Its just a personal preference thing. Either way will catch fish 🤘
Nice video 👍
Thanks brother 🤘
I was there this past Saturday with my boat. We got 7 total. When were you there?
Outstanding! I was out there about 2 weeks ago.

Is it ok to float tube out there?
No, just kayaks and boats.

Hey Rob are you using any scents on your spoons and worms?
Another awesome video Rob! Thanks so much for uploading.

What area was this if you don't mind me asking
From the shore it was big point just outside the marina and in the boat was just east of the chain link fence on the north shore.
How far off bank to cast out at Hesperia lakes

I hit at the end of the parking all the time
