What an extraordinary outing that was! And that curly-tail fly!? It never would have occurred to me to try something that unusual. But well done! And thanks for another great outing!
Great video, loved that first swipe of the brown, beautiful take! That was an interesting streamer you tried on. Had great action to it. The fish had a good size to them also. I'd say that you had an excellent day of fishing!
Absolutely stunning fish , man I love browns . That streamer tho is really cool can’t say I have ever seen one before looks like I’m gonna have to search high and low for that fly I’m very curious to try it in my home waters. As usual amazing work and I love how I’m always picking up a new trick from you or learning something completely new to add to my arsenal. Ty so much be safe and looking forward to seeing the next vide you share tr
Short head sink tips (10' and rest is floating) are very similar as well. Great to manipulate with the weight you would need for deeper pools without changing the streamer weight.
Can you do some videos on fishing jig streamers on the euro rig. I’ve been looking to get into it and I’m sure you could catch some fish with it! Good video 👍
I've done it quite a bit actually! But the water in this video was a little too big for where I like using that style of fishing. I can definitely try and make one here soon
I just bought a bunch of those wiggle tails and the attachment pieces and when they come in I'm gonna tie up some wiggle tail streamers maybe do a game changer streamer with a wiggle tail at the tail and see how they do this fall.
Love your channel and great video! You’ve inspired me immensely as I’m just starting out…I just ordered fly’s from Redds a few nites ago as well 😊 Which net do you use? I’m looking for a good lightweight net but the fishponds seem kinda high. Thank you
DUDE, I TOTALLY am grateful for the info in this vid bro!👊🙂 This gives me the info I will SERIOUSLY NEED in the possible near future. Love the vidz ALWAYS man and look forward to the next my friend. Peace ✌😎
I think I was just using the regular boot souls (not sure what they call them) for this video for various reasons. Although felt / studs are way better for grip
You can add split shots if need be.. although I don't like doing that. I'd rather just switch to a heavier streamer or to a streamer that's made out of a different material that maybe sinks faster.
I have caught a bunch of fish at that bridge on streamers in there during the winter months. That section gets a lot of pressure, but I always seem to catch fish there. It is a good dry fly spot in the spring and summer.
@@hardmanfishing oh yeah for sure, but that section at the bridge gets hit exceptionally hard. If you haven’t fished the feeder streams above the dam, you should explore them. It is great brookie fishing.
Single hook doesn't literally mean "1 hook" it means treble hooks are prohibited. You can still use articulated streamers as long as you are only using two single hooks and not a treble hook. But thank you!
we all like your fishing channel....my question is....do you guys make enough money from the channel that you get to live as trout bims traveling around and getting paid to fish and make fishing videos full time....as in ....living the dream?
Ya pretty much would have to have over 200k subscribers I’d say and tons of views/likes and all that to probably quit a full time job..just my opinion..I notice a lot of them will sell their own logo on clothing/hats and some will also produce their own lures, bait stuff like that to just help out with their income..but yes it would be a dream! A lot of people has done it, so it can be done!
Love how you still talk to each fish and “thank” them for playing! I’ve been doing that for years. Love the videos! Keep up the great work
I am sure they are appreciative of that gesture after the pure terror of getting steel shank rammed through their face.
What an extraordinary outing that was! And that curly-tail fly!? It never would have occurred to me to try something that unusual. But well done! And thanks for another great outing!
Thank you!! Glad you enjoyed the video

I definitely wasn't complaining! Thanks for watching
Thanks!
Thank you so much!!
Hey, that piece of the river at the beginning I have seen before! Stunning video guys, as usual. Appropriate music too 😉
Dang man...some nice browns and a great job catching them! Tightlines!
Very nice brown's, and definitely hungry. Enjoyed watching. 👍

Thank you!
Hey! Most of my keep unravelling. Do maybe have any tips except a bit of UV Resin?
So glad you did this video are you using a 9 ft. 5 or 6 wt. fly rod? thanks for sharing
I believe this is a 6 wt but I'd have to look (my rod is in my car and it's 20 degrees and snowing outside right now)
Those waterproof boots you have with the dial tension..where can I grab a pair?
Short head sink tips (10' and rest is floating) are very similar as well. Great to manipulate with the weight you would need for deeper pools without changing the streamer weight.
LOVE your videos Hardman, keep it up. takes me where I wanna be :)
Glad you enjoy them!
Splendid fish!
Just as I was thinking, I wonder what tippet that is, you decide to tell us. Great video, beautiful winter day!
Very cool and natural video, love it.

Rockin it. Nice video and genius curlytail
Glad you enjoyed!

Love the video! Very cool to see that fly in action!

I use a catch cam net! Although they're kind of high too. As long as you get some sort of rubber coated net you'll do fine. Glad you enjoy the videos!
Never tried a curly tailed streamer before. I do use a lot of curly tail grubs jig fishing tho and they definitely slam. Nicely done!
What size is your Renegade? 9ft 7wt? What size leader and line?
Glad you got some use from that streamer!
It's killer for high water when you need to get down deep. I forgot to tell you it was in the video!
Great footage and cinematography what kind of camera and editing equipment do you use?
DUDE, I TOTALLY am grateful for the info in this vid bro!👊🙂 This gives me the info I will SERIOUSLY NEED in the possible near future. Love the vidz ALWAYS man and look forward to the next my friend. Peace ✌😎
That's awesome!! Thanks for watching as always
Awesome video as always man! What soles do you use with your Korkers? I just bought a pair of the Darkhorse, gonna try them out.
I think I was just using the regular boot souls (not sure what they call them) for this video for various reasons. Although felt / studs are way better for grip
Floating line for life 👊😁
nice work! What river is that?
Thats a good day fishing! Got the recipie for that Curly tail fly?
I am always impressed by your hook up rate with streamer. I wiff so many it is embarrassing some times
Beautiful stream, what state is this located in?
I have that same curly tail fly in my box, can't remember the name but it's done amazing for me. Pike like it too!
Hello, thanks for the video!!!
hello, thanks for watching!
Jon, those were some great fish on that funky lure. BTW... where has HFA West been lately?
Gorgeous fish
Can you show how to tie that fly or find me where I can learn to tie that fly?? Need to try this streamer.
That tail looks good in that fast water post up a video of you tying it.
Enjoyed! :)
Those are fire boots what's the brand
Korkers
I have that same exact streamer and used it in one of my videos and caught some nice trout on it!
Love you videos
Glad you like them!
How do you add weight to your streamers without going to a different fly?
You can add split shots if need be.. although I don't like doing that. I'd rather just switch to a heavier streamer or to a streamer that's made out of a different material that maybe sinks faster.
Nice, I'll get a few of those streamers
What wt rod you use for streamers?
Good video, what's the name of that streamer? Who makes it? Got to get me some! TIA
Redd's Flies! Use code "HFA" for 15% off (might as well save some money)
I have noticed that you hardly ever put the fish on the reel 8w?
Hello from Spain 😍🎣
Awesome
Awesome video
Thanks!

That entire rivers gets a lot of pressure LOL! But yeah I catch fish there every time I go, the population is just so high. Thanks for watching!
@@hardmanfishing oh yeah for sure, but that section at the bridge gets hit exceptionally hard. If you haven’t fished the feeder streams above the dam, you should explore them. It is great brookie fishing.
Is West Virginia your home waters?
Yep! Wild and Wonderful
I am going fly fishing this weekend😊
Good luck!!
Did you tie the steamer yourself?
Nope, I bought it just to test it out
What rod wt?
What curly tail is that?
So how about showing how to tie the $&& streamer ? Geeezzz
Out of the phd pool too jeez
"they'll only eat a size 22 midge" - everyone who fishes the phd hole
Technically, I think you’re only allowed to fish single hooks on that piece of water but enjoyed your video none the less!
Single hook doesn't literally mean "1 hook" it means treble hooks are prohibited. You can still use articulated streamers as long as you are only using two single hooks and not a treble hook. But thank you!
@@hardmanfishing I didn’t know that and just learned something. Thanks!
Wiggle tail, Paolo Pacchiarini power.
Love your meat vids
Thank you! I've got a few more coming in the next several weeks
we all like your fishing channel....my question is....do you guys make enough money from the channel that you get to live as trout bims traveling around and getting paid to fish and make fishing videos full time....as in ....living the dream?
That is my dream. Nothing would beat getting paid to fish 😂
Nope! Unfortunately I still work a full time job just like everyone else. I fish on the weekends and edit the videos after work.
