Ford needs to retire the V8 and go to a straight six cylinder diesel. It is the best architecture for diesels.

10R140? Holy smokes. In case anyone was wondering, the way they name their transmission is the first number is the number of gears, the letter is for RWD or FWD, and the last number is the torque rating minus a zero. So that would be rated for 1400 ft-lb of torque.

    • @The-fs5wn

Looks like a 2014-15 silverado 1500 with those headlights and instead of a grill bar separating upper and lower half its like floating void till the center of the truck with the ford emblem. Then a led strip wrapping around the outside of the headlights instead of a chrome surround keeping it more modern/electrified style. I like it looks more masculine/ tougher the way a truck should look

When the F450 Super Duty comes out I can finally get the Keystone Montana Winterized Four-Season-upgraded Fifth Wheel trailer which lets you live in a rolling luxury condo. The Montana 5th wheel is way cheaper than many condos ($145,000 USD) and is generally a lot more luxurious too! I don't know WHY more people don't buy a fancy 5th wheel since they are much cheaper than most houses and you can take the house WITH YOU when you want a change of scenery! 5th wheels are so luxurious these days, it just doesn't make sense to have a condo or house. You can save your left-over money and invest it instead where it could earn a higher yearly return!
You just need a big enough truck to pull it and these new Superduties CAN do the job since a fully-loaded upgraded Montana and all the required and desired camp gear, food, fuel, big-boy-toys and passengers is about 26,000 lbs for combined truck and 5th wheel trailer weight so you need a BIG truck to haul it all! This is just under the weight limit where you start needing a CDL (Commercial Drivers Licence) to haul (i.e. 27,000 lbs is the starting CDL weight limit in most U.S. States and Canadian Provinces when calculating combined struck and trailer weight).
I like this new truck --- Love the interior! Looks more refined and not too rock-star flashy.

Point is, they all steal ideas from eachother. Personally the side step and bumper step are ugly on both imo. Does look like ford's folds up for smoother lines? Thought Andre would have shown it if it did though.

@@jacehiggs3637 yea people take ideas all the time. And for the corner bumper steps they atleast gave GM a 10 year leeway, but Ford didn't even make theirs look good. They look like a last minute addition or like something someone would retrofit in their garage. The fact you saw the gap in the bedside step shows its a.crap attempt. I don't think that gap indicates it flipsnup, I think it indicates a crap lol.
Hopefully the shape, fit, and finish of Ford steps are all currently just pre-production mock up and the final production step will be refined
The GM tow mirrors may be a bit ugly, but they are extremely good. So if you actually tow big trailers they are great, if you're a poser and just want tow mirrors for show then not so much... With that said the Ram mirrors flipped up into tow mode are the worst looking trash... And that's where you get the bro posers driving around with them permanently flipped up to be cool. Lol they have a choice and chose to make their truck ugly on purpose and think it looks good.

@@andrewsbbq I'm betting it's not a finished product and honestly am hoping that the steps are an option cuz even gm steps I would prefer without. They're useless unless your truck is stock height and unless you are constantly getting something from the bed. Which if you're going back and forth to the bed that often for them to be convenient vs stepping onto your tire and climbing up, then you're time management at your job/task is a serious problem.
I'm not saying the gm mirrors aren't functional, we all know the advantages of tow mirrors and seeing around your trailers. I agree the ram moose antlers are horrible looking but I still even prefer them to the look of the gm style. Everyone has their tastes and preferences though.
Ram looks like you put your arm full extension to the side and your fingers up to the sky. Goofy.
Gm looks like an afterthought slap on to be different in mounting them to the door vs the a pillar gap. They come out, go up, and go out again. Looks like the Walk Like An Egyptian dance move, or I'm a Little Teapot.
Ford's not only look great, have spotlights to cast onto houses for addresses functionality, but also power extend out another 4-6 inches to see around whatever your towing.
I haven't towed with gms new mirrors but my ford's mirrors give me the same comfort and sight lines that I get on my Peterbilt.

Thank you, Ford, for adding the tailgate-down camera. As an F-350 owner with all the rear cameras on his truck, it was a major oversight not to put a camera in that spot in 2017. Same with the proximity beepers. I see that GM and Ram are having a big effect on Ford's styling and features, though. GM's steps have been adopted, and a few subtle Ram queues are obvious in the styling. The most killer feature I would absolutely want my 2023 F-350 to have, though, is the payload sensing system. IMO an argument could even be made that for pickups, that system should be standard so that people stop overloading/towing.
I already totally want one of these trucks (or GM's new 3500) but the prices are sure to be insane. I'm betting right now that an absolutely, completely loaded F-350/450 will top out at $112k.
