Hello, nice video. I've some troble by re-creating commons aspirated engines, like a simple 4cyl 1.6lt. I start from the materials, according to the sheet, then official compression ratio, the exhaust.. with fuel mixture sometimes I can get same "peak" specs, like torque and max power. I can get the max torque at right rpm values, but the max power always it's over the official redline. Example: 1.6 105cv DualCam 4V .. official specs says 140nm@4200 and 105hp@5600.. I can only get the full power @6500 and over, while I have to max it out @5600 and the curve has to stay flat. If I target the power then the torque reach it's maximum @2500 (almost the half as before, not realistic for a small aspirated engine). Any advice? I can see mostly if the time ingame power going up after the redline or Peaking at this value, but iirc official graphs show the peak power before the redline usually then the curve goes down, and not stright till the end and over. :)
@@BrixPlays 1.6 lt dual ohc 4, 6500 rpm, no vvt. 👍🏻 If I put quality near -7 -9 in the cam tab, add double reverse flow, there is a fall off on power curve like on the real engine and it works. If not, to achieve the right torque and power, the max power is achieved at his last point, before redline.
@@BrixPlays you can search for Alfa Twin Spark 1.6 16v 105 and 120hp (the second one with vvt for better low rpm response). BTW with fine tuning I was able to do it, but need to decrease quality into the cam tab to achieve the power and torque at right rpm with the normal decrease around the limited, without wasn't possible to reduce the power after the designed rpm value.
I thought I was pretty educated before I got this game. Really humbled me lol. Thanks for the tutorial, it's very well made and helped a lot!
Glad I could help!
Thank you very much, this was quite informative
Thanks! Just bought the game and learning
I just got Automation and have done all the engine tuning and now can't continue. What do I need to do to move on?

What cam profile and rpm limits are you working with?

Hmm I will have to tinker with it in game and do some fiddling. Do you have the power curve of the engine and its specs you can share?

Great tutorial mate!
Glad it was helpful!
What name game.
