i dont mean to be off topic but does any of you know of a trick to log back into an instagram account? I was dumb forgot the password. I appreciate any help you can offer me!
Dolly parton is the only person i know in show business and music that never changes. She remains so sweet despite the money. Her money has helped her family and her TN mountain friends she employees over 5000 people including her family Fame has not affected her one bit.
Even at her heaviest, she was voluptuous and gorgeous with that small waist. Even though she didn’t mind answering the weight questions, I did think that David lingered a little too long of the subject and it was getting redundant.
Damn she so open bout things. Yall, who else thought the weight questions where kinda weird. I love Dolly. Strong woman. Personally I think Dolly was at her best in the 80's and 90's but mainly 80's.
Martin M Yep! Exactly. Do you think he ever asked male performers about their weight and fingernails? It’s only the females who get asked such superficial and sexist questions.
She delivered her joke with a perfect deadpan expressio about not believing in reincarnation even when she lived before, so no one in the audience nor Dave got it!
I didn't hear it either. The audience stepped on it with their applause, and I couldn't make out that she said "in it." I thought she said, "I didn't believe anyone lived before."
I'm not a Letterman fan but during the 80s Dolly publicly talked about weight loss and dieting and he was not the only person to ask her about it, Oprah comes to mind as someone else who discussed it with her. I do agree some of the more skeevy comments are uncalled for.
I get so tired of interviewers focusing on her clothes, boobs, nails, hair, waist, weight...external stuff...she’s a singer and performer, focus on that.. they are so rude and sexist. They would never ask a male performer such superficial questions.
Letherman was flirting with her since she enter the stage. I think he really like her you know as a "woman" and she also play along with it because she new how he felt about her
Sean Astin has been asked about his weight in lots of interviews, because he's gained and lost for various movies. Craig Kilborn said Sean lost weight in a 2002 interview, and asked him what he did to lose it, just like Dave did here.. Sean said thanks for noticing he lost weight. Why is it offensive to say someone lost weight?
It's funny how some of the female singers of that era did great in movies initially and then their film careers went to crap. Dolly, Cher, Madonna, Tina Turner, Whitney Houston, etc. The male singers were even worse as they could never get film careers off the ground at all.
I can tell that Dave really likes her. i mean REALLY likes her. Her self effacing humor really disarms people, even the master of "Grilling interviews" himself, David Letterman.
Bella T such a big deal. In That era there were no feminists. People actually had a sense of humour. Nowadays if you call someone a “faggot” it’s offensive. That time it was considered funny. Puny millennial child.
raven graham Look at Dolly in the 70s and early 80s, she was thick and looked her best. In the 80s the Hollwood jews got hold of her and made her be a skinny twig
So many commenters find Letterman's remarks rude. Dolly actually wrote in her book about Dave, citing him as one of her favorite people to have interviewed her (the other being Johnny Carson), even going so far as to say that Dave's demeanor and sense of humor always put her in mind of her husband Carl, and so, she apparently didn't take offense to his remarks. That was kind of his "schtick" and Dolly presumably got it.
I’ve never heard an interviewer spend so much time talking to a man about his weight, whether or not he colors his hair or wears spanks. Granted, Dilly’s physical appearance is a big part of her persona, but move on to her more important attributes like her talent, intellect and shrewd business acuity.
Why anybody would go on his show I don't understand it. You got to be the worst talk show host and creep and dirty old man with no respect to his guests
What a waste of an interview asking her about her weight for the first 5 minutes. It’s like how reporters constantly wasted Michael Jackson’s time asking about his nose. I’d much rather hear about how she writes songs, what her favorite memories are, etc. She’s such a good sport though.
It's unfortunate how much emphasis is placed on her weight. If he had asked me about my weight, eating, or asked to see me sweaty I would have clocked him right then and there.
Dont let peoples judgement get to you dont let them make you judge yourself or anyone else i havent notice as much negitivite toward you as it seems you think actually none.
David used to be a butt back in the day. This is not the first interview from back in the day where he was really rude to the guest for no apparent reason.
Jesus! She's an American treasure! Can we talk about something besides her weight?!
come on
Lena Kilburn yeah, u should run the show.....
Period.

@Maddox Ulises instablaster =)
She’s such a humble person and seems like she’s genuinely friendly! Always comes off as very bubbly and a positive spirit! 💖

What a beautiful woman. I like her accent too - very rare to hear
I’ve watched like 5 old interviews of hers and it makes me so sad they don’t really focus on her music they just ask about her weight
Dolly is so smooth and classy but gave David back as good as he gave. Even made him blush.
She’s adorable. I’ve never used that description, but it seems there is no better way to describe her!
Damn she so open bout things. Yall, who else thought the weight questions where kinda weird. I love Dolly. Strong woman.
Personally I think Dolly was at her best in the 80's and 90's but mainly 80's.
She never stops being her best - she’s amazing at the multiple charities she funds
She helped ALL her neighbors after the big fire there
Dolly Parton is the complete package. About the sexiest woman ever.
Dolly is a beauty queen,.loves the way she flirts with David !
I can't believe he asked a lady about her weight!!
Martin M Yep! Exactly. Do you think he ever asked male performers about their weight and fingernails? It’s only the females who get asked such superficial and sexist questions.
@@melh.5752 He'd do this with anybody, lets face it she's visually outrageous.
@@gerrydooley951 you're visually creepy
@@mekhiludenberg6249 you don't know that for sure, or do you?
Not being asked about your weight isn’t equality
She delivered her joke with a perfect deadpan expressio about not believing in reincarnation even when she lived before, so no one in the audience nor Dave got it!

She’s just amazing in every way. 🌹
I love this woman!
she's very pretty here

you don't like Letterman? So you don't like funny people.
Everyone who interviewed her in the 80's was skeevy. She's great, but all those condescending misogynistic pricks were so gross.
She's sooooo cute!!!!
Dolly is wonderful wish I could see her one day.Needs to come to Pa.
Shes amazing :) x
Dave is so rude asking this woman about her weight..he should be ashamed of himself
And also he said “ I like to see you sweaty”, like wtf
Dolly can be deadly (with a gun), but still an adorable angel, even as threatens to make a rooster into a hen.
I LOVE this woman!
Wtf this is an intelligent, talented businesswoman & performer. Of course it's all superficial erection questions.
This isn't Meet the Press, it's entertainment
She has a cute personality!
This woman bro is just the sweetest thing, literally the sweetest laughy taffy, so sweet, always laughing, smiling and just so bright 😭🙏🏽❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
She's quicker than he is.
I can't believe Dave didn't get the joke about her giving herself black eyes when she runs.
I love how her face lit up asking if the people in the audience were from Sevier County.
Thistle heart 💜 none other than Dolly I personally love her ❤️
He is my favorite host David letterman .
I love her. Beautiful inside and out. ❤️❤️❤️
You can tell Letterman adores Dolly!!! Lol
Dolly gangsta.
I get so tired of interviewers focusing on her clothes, boobs, nails, hair, waist, weight...external stuff...she’s a singer and performer, focus on that.. they are so rude and sexist. They would never ask a male performer such superficial questions.
He did it with Billy Idol
ugh how disrespectful of him to ask those questions
dolly always handles things with such grace
Letterman is so gross. Can't believe he's still interviewing people to this day...
I love dolly, shes the best
“It’s amazing how much it cost to make a person look so cheap” 🤣👏🏼
Letherman was flirting with her since she enter the stage. I think he really like her you know as a "woman" and she also play along with it because she new how he felt about her
he is so annoying. always interrupting
How times have changed
So let's just talk about your body for 5 minutes..little bit creepy Dave
Yeah too much.
He's like chopping at her at the bar. Lol.
Hilarious - both of them!
Why is this the topic of this interview??? Wow if this was a man we would not even be talking about this! What is your weight???
Dave didn't get the memo that Dolly is Kenny's woman.
Dolly is anointed
No man would be subjected these questions.

Much like other female celebrities at the time (Cher, Bette Midler) Dolly was at her prime in 1989-1994...
It's funny how some of the female singers of that era did great in movies initially and then their film careers went to crap. Dolly, Cher, Madonna, Tina Turner, Whitney Houston, etc. The male singers were even worse as they could never get film careers off the ground at all.
Sir, your talking to a legend and all you can ask are stupid questions smh
I can tell that Dave really likes her. i mean REALLY likes her. Her self effacing humor really disarms people, even the master of "Grilling interviews" himself, David Letterman.
imbluz agreed don't think in anyway he is trying to degrade her her. Dolly and Loretta will always be the finest country singer hands down.
She treats him so well
Especially when he treats her so crappy asking her questions about her weight smh
Bella T such a big deal. In That era there were no feminists. People actually had a sense of humour. Nowadays if you call someone a “faggot” it’s offensive. That time it was considered funny. Puny millennial child.
Dolly would never shoot a man... who didn't have it coming.
How have keept up your look am getting older and im amazed you look 20
Selena has a personality like her❤️
Absolutely amazing I don’t. Think that she had a weight problem Ej101281
What weight problem? Lady you 110 you great
raven graham
Look at Dolly in the 70s and early 80s, she was thick and looked her best. In the 80s the Hollwood jews got hold of her and made her be a skinny twig
I liked her from the late 60’s till the early 80’s. Burt did a number on her.
She said she was too skinny before, than she gained some and got better.
Around “best little whore house in Texas” she was probably close to a size 12-14. She’s an hourglass and carries it well.
So many commenters find Letterman's remarks rude. He’s drunk 😵 for sure

dang,I weigh more than her and im 12!only 110,dang!
Me too
People are fatter now.
Wtf is on the floor bhind his desk
Wow he didn’t even let her promote her album
This guy wouldn't even let her talk so annoying.
She was just about to talk about the open tuning she uses and then Letterman buts in with do you play saxophone? 😕
Look 20 at 70
You can tell you love being a woman
I can't believe he asked her if she'd gained weight! He would never ask her that today! So rude..
Yeah, today all there is is a bunch of oversensitive idiots.
Why anybody would go on his show I don't understand it. You got to be the worst talk show host and creep and dirty old man with no respect to his guests
What the fuck is DL doing talking about her weight. What a waste of a great opportunity to interview Southern Wisdom personified.
VERY. But isn't he known for that?
known for what?
What a waste of an interview asking her about her weight for the first 5 minutes. It’s like how reporters constantly wasted Michael Jackson’s time asking about his nose. I’d much rather hear about how she writes songs, what her favorite memories are, etc. She’s such a good sport though.
“I’d like to see you sweaty” ew

Holy shit he was creepy here. Gross.
I’m glad he stopped being so gross as an interviewer as he got older, but YIKES
(3:18) “I like to see you sweaty” I physically want to ✨💫🧚Throw Up ✨✨💫

Ugh, this interview makes me mad
Everything about this interview is horrible, and i all has to do the interviewer of course
David Letterman didn't handle the onset of this interview well at all!
Keep your hands off letterman
David used to be a butt back in the day. This is not the first interview from back in the day where he was really rude to the guest for no apparent reason.
Coming from the lowest class, she's always the one with the most class.
