Some schools would have a "Senior Trip" that would go to Europe, but mostly they went to places like New York, Orlando or out to California. It just bugged me that Donahue thinks taking a trip to Virginia or Tennessee is essentially slumming. LOL

Many men did that back then. You should see the Helen Mirren video on Parkingson or ANY Johnny Carson Tonight Show Interview with a woman. It was normal, but not right, and women just hid their annoyance about it. Was there, this is true. (Also, to the other poster, there weren't "liberals" in 1986 -- that was a BS term Reagan exploited. There were only regular people and the ultra religious moral majority freaks of Jerry Falwell, who didn't ask sexist questions but certainly did sexist sht out of the spotlight)

Unlike the super sensitive, man-hating 3rd wave feminists today that really have nothing to complain about in this day and age...yet still do.
