Great idea!! unfortunately I tried this on a 2006 330Ci Conv. and it didn't work. Make sure how much room you have between to mount and the strut piston when compressed. for me it was about a 1/4 in so not enough room for the spring. looking for a shorter piston strut to make this work.
za długie sprężynki masz. siłowniki muszą być takiej długości bo nie będą pasowały. czasami wyrabia się ta główka jak na filmie u mnie. spróbuj zamknąć i otworzyć kilka razy

True, I also just tried on my 330ci convertible. The struts compress too tight to close.
Does it not put extra strain on the struts and on the mount brackets etc?
