Thanks for all the 147, 156 & GT videos...all great viewing. I have recently fitted 4 new Bosch glow plugs in my 2006 147 JTDm but I'm still having the glow plug error. Will a reset cure this problem, or is it possibly another issue? Any ideas?
I have seen you've installed LPG to the engine. Me too. In my case (3.2 l engine) the needle of the PETROL fuel indicator (not LPG additional LEDs, but the default petrol needle) goes down not by measuring the actual level of petrol inside the petrol tank but by discounting from the 100% the fuel consumed accounted by the ECU. As a result, if I run on LPG, and it consumes, say 50 litres of LPG, the PETROL fuel indicator goes down 50 litres which is wrong...but it's actually nearly full!! Does this happen to you too? Any workaround? Any reset when this happens to know the actual petrol in the tank? Thanks in advance!

Hi, I was wondering - if you do this, do you have to put in the Alfa Romeo code? I have a used 156 2.0 Twin Spark, my immobilizer locked the steering wheel, so I can not turn. But the engine starts no problem, everything works except the steering wheel. Will removing the battery for some time reset the immobiliser, or the steering wheel lock somehow? I am desperate, nothing works and the steering wheel is locked. The car is otherwise perfectly fine but I cant seem to unlock the wheel Many thanks and keep up the great work with your videos!
@@arcgarage Thank you! So you think unplugging and plugging battery back might help with the steering wheel lock? or is that a mechanical issue? I dont know what else to try, everything else is working just fine and the car runs, engine starts and so on, I just cant steer due to the lock of the steering wheel. Many thanks!
Hey ARC garage - love your videos, very helpful as I'm doing up an Alfa GT myself. I disconnected my battery and the + terminal plate to remove the air filter - when I put it all back together I'm not getting a 'motor control system failure' message. I wonder if this reset could help
@@arcgarage thanks, this turned out to be an earth issue. That aside it now starts but dies right away after 2-3 seconds. No error coded whatsoever. on the advice of a mechanic, we've sent the ECU to get checked. not sure what else it could be
I am not sure. However, if you, for example, replace an airbag, or fix the connector, the module will turn off the airbag light on its own, you don't have to reset it...
Might be a stupid question but if the car has been remapped, would the ECU reset wipe out the remap and return it to factory standard ? Thanks for the great videos

You can reset the light this way, and possibly the flashing odometer. However, take your car to a good mechanic with a good diagnostic tool that can access all of the modules, and he'll be able to read out the codes for check engine light, and for the flashing odometer as well.
