      @sergeantskrtskrt9594 2 роки тому +54

      @@rolandomota7771 I mean. I have yet to meet a Mexican name 'Daisy'. It's more a matter of common names, I wouldn't expect a person of Spanish heritage to be named 'Matthew' in the English pronunciation. It would make more sense for them to be Mateo because that's how their language says the word in particular. It's not racism but more assuming that people of different heritage are more than likely to be named different names from the standard, generic, white names of Daisy, Timothy, Smith and such.
      It is also the same for people of other groups. To use a personal, albeit biased, example. I would never expect another Eritrean like me to be named 'Jonathan Smith'. I would expect 'Yonas Gebreselassie' as his first and last name. It is normally the same for people of other cultures interacting with one another. There is a distinct set of rules for acceptable names in certain cultures and that's just how it is lol.

    Heck though for someone whose seen mariages that had started out as love break apart .......

      Marriage purely out of romantic love would die out though, hence the high divorce rate right now. Friendship, respect, and the instrumental value of marriage are really important for a long lasting and happy marriage. One thing you can say about his parents is that they both want to escape communist China, which is already a basis for respect between them.

    • @socialmediabreak339
      @socialmediabreak339 2 роки тому

      @@csy9366 its hard to say any relationship in reality is based out of purely romantic or a love purely based on friendship so i cant and wouldnt necessarily pinpoint divorce rates on that unless backed up by some more scientific survey of married couples. I agree with you that all components including respect are necessary to a healthy lasting relationship. It is just my opinion based on my observation of people I know who are put into situations leaning less towards romantic and more towards.....contractual or financial that it's difficult for those types of relationships to last. Thats why, as Ive unfortunately seen there are couples who marry as a reason to come to the states and then split up afterwards. As I stated though, for the case of Mr. Yangs parents, there must've been romantic love in there someplace otherwise the relationship wouldn't have been so long lasting. :) which I find to be quite admirable in any event. I do not wish to generalize whatsoever nor do I wish to assume or pry into others lives. Only saying that it's admirable. And that I think in my opinion love...romantic love...must also be a component. Not purely...but definitely a large factor.
