Hallo Ralph, es ist ein sehr vitales Orgelspiel, mit dem ich sehr begeistert bin. Solche verschiedenen Stimmen spielst Du super klar Ralph. Mach' mal Dein tolles Job weiter. 👍👍👍 Dein Satoru
Amazing. Such a bright and lively performance - stuning ornamentation - including that fantastic pedal mordent that made me immediately go back and listen to it again on that first pedal solo!!! :)
If you had a mission . . . and that mission was to convert 'unaware' listeners into life-long Kneller devotees . . . then I can report mission accomplished! I have not heard this music before, but I absolutely love the 'stylus phantasticus' you reference in your commentary. This Prelude in D Minor sounds simply fabulous on the Schnitger organ at Noordbroek and your performance conveys all the drama in the music making for a truly effulgent aural experience. BRAVO!
It is always a joy to see your new recordings appear on my subscriptions page as each and every one of them brings me joy for a number of reasons. Ralph, your playing is flawless and with careful attention paid to articulation, ornamentation and such. I also appreciate your consideration of sample sets that match the period or instrument styles of which these lesser known works were composed. It helps us to hear them through the composer's ears given different tunings and temperaments in use at the time of their composition; this presents them as far more colorful than perhaps modern styles might portray. Thank you, once again, for sharing more of your fine work!
Hi Ralph, wonderful performance in so many ways! This was a new piece for me and a composer I know very little about, but was very approachable and I thoroughly enjoyed it! This sample set and your registration sounded so clear and suited the music. Thank you once again! Take care, John
Bravo! This is really a fantastic piece, and very well played. Kneller does not get played often enough! Especially liked the fugue with the repeated-note subject.
Great as always, Ralph! I always listen to you with great pleasure. The theme on 1:05 reminded me of Antonio Vivaldi's violin concerto in D minor. I know this concert very well, as I played it sometime in my youth. But not according to the violin score, but according to the organ arrangement by J.S.Bach. I wonder who borrowed from whom, what do you think? )
Thanks, Michael! Yes, that's a nice remark. I think you mean the first part of Concerto in D minor, and then the part after the big chords, the fugal section. It has indeed some similarities. But I think it's mere coincidence, since the development of the fugue is different. But that's just my opinion.
@@RalphLooij Yes. It is the fugue after the chords. Too much in common. I can't believe it is a coincidence. :) Although unintentional copying of the main theme is also possible. When it sounds in your head, but you don't know what it is and where it comes from. You seem to write something of your own. But it turns out someone else's :) After all, even the tonality of D minor is the same ...
@@RalphLooij By the way. I tried to play through the GrandOrgue emulator. The sound is 1 \ 2 seconds late. Which is very inconvenient. I understand that a real organ is heard this way for a performer. But Hauptwerk doesn't. There, the sound is heard immediately after pressing the keys. Am I doing something wrong?
@@michaelbarm I've used GrandOrgue for a while. I think your problem has to do with the latency. And maybe you use an ASIO driver, but you should use the WASAPI driver from GrandOrgue. If you google on that, I think you'll find something. Unluckily, I'm not an expert in that field ;)

I echo the sentiments of the previous commenters. Another thoughtful performance. I especially appreciate seeing the registrations you used. Bedankt.
Dank!
Wonderful ! As always ! A huge piece, full of contrast ! a pure gem... Congratulations !
Thanks, Remi!
Sounds amazing! I love following the score with you playing!
Wow, you learned this one fast! Thanks so much for sharing this brilliant performance, Ralph.
Thanks, Alessandro! This is exactly the music I like to play, that helps with practicing;)

🎵 wowow ⚡ & what active pedals!! if i knew it's this much good exercise i'd have taken up organ... 😎 exciting music & playing Ralph... 👏👏🎵👏
That's for sure! Thanks.
It's like to hear a great piece by Buxtehude. Clear and vibrant. Thanks Ralph! It's also a great sounding sample set from Sonus Paradisi!
Thanks, Philip. I agree, certainly a North-German baroque piece.
Very nice work and performance. A beautiful piece in Stylus Phantasticus
Thanks for listening!

Thanks, Christopher, much appreciated! Although it's also nice to try baroque on not so convenient organs.
So well played! I also appreciate the work you put in to show us the score. I do often like to read along as you play 👍
Thanks, April. Good to know that you like to read the score along.
Wat een geweldige klank heeft dit orgel toch. Prachtig, die fluiten. Mooi stuk weer!
Dank, Rien!
Beautiful played my! I love it!😁👍👏👏👏👏👏👏
Really a brilliant recording, super played Ralph! 👌👏
Danke, Thomas!

Sounds Amazing!!! High level perfomance!!! Well done Ralph!!!
Thanks, Salvatore.

Thanks, Evan. I agree, Kneller needs more attention. His variations on Nun komm are also great.
Another amazing Kellner piece by great performer! Thanks for sharing, Ralph!
Thanks, Eunjoo. Kellner and Kneller are different composers, but who cares;)
@@RalphLooij Yikes!!! My apologies! 😞
@@eunjoolisafierro6124 I made exactly the same 'mistake' ;)
Wunderbares Stück - sehr virtuos gespielt!
Danke, Ralf!
Very impressive!
Absolute precision.
Very nice. Kneller is often underrated.
Thanks. Indeed, and many contemporaries with him.
All I can say is Wow!
Bellissimo!!!!
Wonderful!
Thanks!
Wow I like these fast notes for the feet😁😁
I don't need to go to the gym:)
That’s again a wonderful video! How many hours does it take to complete a video like that? Seems to be a lot of work. 👋😎🎸
