Thank you the video! The "Acer Aero" fan was making noise. Pulled both fans out, cleaned. The Aero fan continued to make a bit bit of noise. One very small drop of light weight oil from the garage (not sure what exactly weight, etc.) in the hole and the fan no longer makes noise. Appreciated!

Turns out that the blade kinda hits the housing for the fan. Loosened it up a bit and it reduced the noise. I am just worried maybe it can cause any damage to the fan. Can anybody suggest the best course of action for this?
Hey I was just wondering how did you manage to open the right fan. I tried it was taking too much force and the blades were getting squished as I gripped on them? Any idea how to get it out effectively as even after a deep clean my fan still rattles
you need to push it from the other side or just poke it with a little tool to make it move outwards.. if you have same model as mine, it should be just a magnet type of fan, there should not be any strong resistance.
I have ph315-53. The one with rtx 2060. My gpu fan sounds completely normal when it’s idle. But once i increase the speed to around 5000 rpm, it sounds exactly like yours. I opened the lid and tried turning it by hand, it turns smoothly without any noise. I even blew the air in the vents to turn it fast…no noise and looks smooth. I noticed this after 1.5 years of use.
i kept my fans at max speed for more than a year... i didn't know that it could damage the fans and now they were dirty and sounding like yours(only gpu one tho) i cleaned them a little bit although i wasn't able to remove them at all like you. would putting lubricant help them? and are they gonna stop working because i let them run at max speed for over a year? i'm sad cause i think there's no way i can get a good replacement for the gpu one...
putting lubricant helps but if there is a damage in the fan, that needs replacement. Unfortunately, you can only buy the same exact fan replacement from Acer. If your lucky, someone would be selling on Ebay for predator parts.
tried this It seems to be worse: des the screws have to be reallly tight or just enough? also one of the round things that hold inbetween the case and the rest of the computer broke in pieces, i placed it back well enough but idk if it could make it worse.. also how do you disconnect the fan frm the board.. do you have to pinch it or just pull it??
sorry to hear that. The screws are never tight. Even my kid can unscrew them. Gaming laptops are designed to be opened and upgraded. Unscrewing and opening it should be easy. The fan has screws on it, just unscrew them and remove the thermal tape on it, and it will be easy to lift it up and remove it. Make sure the fan power cable is unplugged as well.
I went to pop my right (CPU) fan back in and apparently I broke the little peg off that keeps it balanced. I noticed it was more resistance than what I thought it would be, so I thought that was strange so I pried the fan with a screwdriver and that snapped the little peg. So if you're getting resistance, don't force it! Just get a can of air or use a compressor if available! I did find a replacement on Amazon for 18 bucks shipped, but now I have to wait four days to use my computer.
Thank you. This was very useful. But when I tried it myself. The plastic fan wasn’t wanting to come out. Is this normal. I tried not to put too much pressure on it
its a little since the magnet keeps it joined together. You just need to give a little push and once it moves a little, it will just totally be remove.

At this point, I have no idea what to do. I feel like I shouldn't buy a new GPU fan since its current rpm is around 6100+ at max.
