Hello Scott, thanks for the video. I wouldn't even bother turning over the key until I went through the fuel system and changed the oil and then like you say at least take the plugs out and inspect them then you can see if they're hydrolock in the cylinder and if it is I would turn it by hand from the bolt on the back of the motor. Good tip on the loose assembly with the bolts however you should check if there is a specific bolt tightening sequence for that part.

    Oil answer……Rotella T6
I STARTED using T6 in all my bikes last year after several friends told me about it. 😁👍

You are correct. When it comes to the topic of which oil to use, it seems to be the most debated.

Well scott about your viewers question about engine oil I have used Honda Line oil in all three of my wings , recently I switched to Lucas oil , most of the competion racing teams are using it and it has the same SJ SF that Honda recommends for their bikes that other oil's don't have .

I can answer some of your oil question! In 1989 I attended Portland Sportsman Show at Expo Center next to columbia River. My friend an I counted 24 people around 1 vender. He was so crowed we couldn't see what he had? But we were interested when all 24 walked off with little white bags!? So we walked over right infront of guy. He had a steel bearing/weigh friction oil test machine. For a base reading he got 120lbs dry too bearing seizure. Adding oil, seizure at 180lbs. (60lbs oil protection from dry base wt). Then he added one ounce per quart oil of engine oil fortifier the 24 just bought. Dry weight an oil seizure ground a groove right into bearing surfaces, but now machine ran smooth with 600lbs with no seizure. When he showed bearing, 600lbs mark was just a Polish mark, not ground into steel! What kind of wear would I like? Big dished groove steel at seizure with 180lbs. Or running like a champ at 600lb with only small polish mark? We all bought it! We were at Sportsman show for friend, Harry, in Hunter Sailboat booth. First thing Harry ask at seeing us, what's with all little white bags? We told him about oil fortifier, an Harry says for me to bring my truck too his shop on Monday. Gary did propane conversions on trucks with truck dyno-tuner an wall of gauges! He's best tuner around too! We do dyno base run then Harry adds 5 ounces too 5 quart oil system. He says we should hope for 1 more HP, but dyno reads 7 more. Harry hopes for 10 more RPMs, fortifier gives us 70 more RPMs (Harry smiling away when he has to turn idle screw adjustment down, from engine running better an faster!) I've added this fortifier too everything that burns gas since an completely love it from 1989 too 2022! I taught math in elementary school an did research with Univ. Labs, so I've been doing my own study on this product since that first dyno tune. So I rode H-D sporty until base gas mileage an no better than 40mpg established. (Which I though, good!). I added only 1/2 ounce per quart oil because of any "wet clutch", packed bike with camping gear an went over coast mtns from Portland into Tillamook. 62.2mpg an my friend Jake says, your the math teacher, that can't be right? (We all did math over an over around campfire!) So, to verify I got 62.4 on reverse trip back home to Portland! So then I got serious in fuel mileage reading recording fuel stops. My family made wedding cakes an catered weddings. At a wedding big guy with full tattoo sleeve sees bike an asked me if it was for sale? He was President of motorcycle club, with club members putting money together too buy my Harley motorcycle for a club member! (That's a club!) So, I bought 03' H-D Dyna FXDX Superglide Sport that I base rated at 35mpg. After adding 1/2 ounce per quart oil, treating gas with fuel treatment, grease etc. I acquired a 56.2mpg, with list of acquired mileage, all up from 35! So this company is from Evel Knievel home town an I figured if it's good enough for Evel! Then in 1990 company wanted too race test product line in Indy 500. Picked driver been in race but never in top 10, Aria Luyendyk. So, all these company guys wound up in winner circle with not only winning race but breaking track speed record! So, after Harry's dyno tune on product an my truck I go back to show to get more. I saw you here, but you can't have any! Why not? We brought semi truck too show an sold it all, trucks won't be here till tomorrow! I here now what can you do for me now? He handed me test machine! So now I have tested all wal mart oils, including Harley oil, an they all test out with 180lbs too seizure except Castrol Syntax that takes 210lbs too seizure vs 180. But I don't worry about oil performance with using this oil fortifier. Now several yrs back they added "Green" too their name because every product now is earth friendly! (Which is unheard of too me having oil products all earth friendly) 800-735-6438 tell "Justa" that Tim sent you. They know me from bugging them for info! Now I have it in my 1500GL Goldwing, an it's 1/2 ounce per quart loves it too. There is rust preventers an cleaners an moisture controls. So went I show up at Harley events, all other Harley inner exhaust pipes are black except for mine! I've actually ran a hotdog on stick an ate it out of my truck exhaust pipe! The world could use this stuff. They have their own labs an every thing has too be better than anything else, ten times better!

We're having an issue with our goldwing. Intermittently it will shut off when we shift into gear. One day we can jump on and ride with no issues. The next day: warm her up, back her out, shift into 1st-dies. She will start and idle every time without issue though. We had the carbs cleaned, tilt sensor bypassed, and vacuum lines gone through. We've done battery, spark plugs, oil change, the works as well. Really frustrating. Any ideas?

Have Honda 97 Goldwing aspencade 1500 cranks but doesn't start has clicking sound as I hear starter engaging. Noticed I left my choke on would that cause an issue even if it's off? Saw a couple of your videos on cleaning Engine with seafoam but can't get it started to let it run. Any help would be appreciated thanks and blessings for being so diligent with your work.

There's a knob that you turn on the right side of the fairing, just below the speaker.

Great video and feedback. I have a question about my air shock 92 Aspencade. It just dumped all the oil out while I had my rear wheel out for a new tire. Is there a way to put in a new seal, rebuild it
