I just plowed through the first season in two nights on Netflix. I coulda bing watched another three seasons. You guys gotta hurry up on some next seasons, life is short.

I just discovered your show today really cool Restorations on the old cars Mike is old school about Karma and helping people that's what people are supposed to do help other people when they can I love Mike's long hair I'm 50 years young and I have long hair to I've been watching the show for 7 hours now I'm a muscle car guy and this is a really wicked 41 Ford I'll be praying for Mike in the shop🙏✌😎
Love the show! great people,the cars are cool.laidback rural bc folks,though not afraid to get their hands dirty.beautiful mountains and towns as second to none.

Ive read numerous comments on here and some people write hes a poor salesman, Hes a more qualifed salesman than some think! Viewers are not buying his cars, there buying him, he doesnt need to sell a single car. Hes on neflix, already ahead! Smart chess move and love the show, im sure there will be a season two
Just saw the show today for the 1st time and I must say, I binge watched about 4 episodes. Great job guys. The characters are interesting as well, especially Ron Jeremy (Avery) with his funny personality and laugh. I hope the boys can start to turn a profit and make the business a success, as well as the show.

Hey Mike I just want to let you guys know I love the show , I hope to see more ,.
Started watching it today and it’s very good
Mike to make some real money;
1.) Take your cars to a real car show and get some real money.
2.) Dump Avery and get somebody who takes the job seriously. Comedy is expensive in business.
3.) Get your parts organized.
4.) Put the girls to work and make a spread sheet on all of your cars and what parts you have for them. so you can get cheap easy builds out the door.
5.) Don't go on "intuition" for your builds. Research what's in demand. Build the car of the customer's dreams, not yours.
6.) 5 bays = 5 builds. You are running way too much down time.

Mike may love cars but he is not cut out to be in the car business. I think it hardly takes a genius to understand that a business needs to sell more than they buy. Being emotionally attached to everything only interferes in making sound decisions. You can't keep buying more stuff when you have a field full of stuff rusting away. And while some classic gearheads might love a patina finish, most people want a nice paint job.
@@aleenator You hit the nail square on the head G Q,. Being president of a car rebuilding company. and spinning a wrench are not the same thing. What's odd to me is Mike made millions in construction. In construction , you build exactly what the customer wants, and you justify your hours and materials. Why he can''t ever apply those same rules to his auto shop is beyond me. You're right " he is not cut out to be in the car business'. His son has some business sense I think, but Mike on a "I'm the dad, and I know what's best" trip. If I were Mike, I'd let his son (or somebody) run the shop and spend my time on the floor. living the dream. You

Brave Voice Well I think if he lets Connor run things he’d make more money. Because Mike is good with mechanics, body work ect. But as ya said has a lot to learn about the business.
I think maybe you all miss the point that the SHOW is ENTERTAINING (and we learn about cars in the mean time). Sure running a successful business is another thing - but maybe you forget he's getting PAID to create a t.v. show. And I'd much rather watch people having FUN with cars and learning from it - then watch some hard-ass boring assembly line of a job. I've done over 40 of those jobs in my life. haha.

While most of the cars shows rely on the bogus deadline gimmick, rust bros relies on the bogus ‘I’ll be bankrupt soon’ gimmick to add fake tension. Long live graveyard cars for not having bogus drama

I can't believe these guys only charge sixty bucks an hour. Hell, I charge 100 an hour,,, at home. Is the shop labor rate that much lower in BC than in Ontario ? Everything else out there is damn expensive.
I charge 40 in sask. 100 at home? The garages are 130-160 here and body shops are under 100.

Ya the show is ok but when his kid talks about saving his dads biz and dumps a ton of his ol mans cash on aftermarket parts.. for a car he wanted for himself , kinda transperant , he says i hope the down payment will help my dad ...he was helping himself , period

I watched the whole season on netflix for some reason. No way I would buy anything from these guys. They never go through an engine. Hell, if you have it out, you might as well tear it down, do a valve job, some new valve stem seals, piston rings, hone the cylinders, new crank/ rod bearings, timing chain set, oil pump, and a gasket set. They had an engine with the oil pan sitting in a tire with a rim on it. Then they wonder why the crank is hitting the bottom of the pan. They just set the oil pans on the concrete slab. I am sure it jacked up the clearance between the oil pump pick up, and the oil pan. And the safety hazards, I have done some stupid stuff in my younger day's, but this is like watching final destination.
You know the show is edited to make it entertaining right? Most people dont care about watching a valve job being done... They edit down the footage for gratification. All of these car shows are edited and dont show every step.

Their amateurs, guy should go back to to his day job and keep it restos as a hobby. Doesn’t want to sell his cars off and at the end all of them will be gone. I mean they forgot to put oil in a car and it seized!!!!! Wouldn’t trust them with anything. Biggest rookie move. Like the show but damn he is a horrible businessman.

the show is fiction. it stars James Cromwell as the owner and restorer. he is fitted with dreds . but does not conceal his appearance of who he really is.

Outside of being scripted and them not actually restoring the cars, that Avery guy makes me not even want to watch the show.
This guy is crazy, sell all the cars to people to restore them properly, all of these tv resto shows are mainly half arsed wheelers and dealers, they wreck the cars pretending their restoring them, its ridiculous and a waste of time really, wrecking cars to make a tv show. Their budgets are always under 20k and the cars are full on resto projects, ridiculous!
Need to get rid of Avery. He dont care about anything. Cant do anything the right way. Should have fired him when working on the Chevelle and the 41 power wagon. Cant stand Avery..

First that is not his daughter. It’s a girl that he hired to work in his shop. Second and more importantly you obviously know nothing about classic cars. If you did you would know that Volvo invented the three point seatbelt around the late 50’s early 60’s and didn’t even patent it because they wanted all the cars to be safer. Seatbelts didn’t even become mandatory until the mid 60’s and the three point seatbelt didn’t become regulatory until the mid 70’s. So they were likely wearing seatbelts but they were just the lap seatbelts...............”The more you know!”
I love the show, Mike has got to be one of the worst negotiators ever though, always gets around 10k less than he wanted.
My family and I like the show but Mike really needs to cut that nasty looking hair.
