I've heard of this system since 2008 or 2009. I have Action Replay Plus to play Japanese games on it and I bought it somewhere in 2016 along with the Dreamcast.
So nostalgic, this was one of my first consoles I remember playing around 4 years old in 1997 or 98. I distinctly remember thinking the background of this menu looked like a birthday cake, the way it's like ridged in lines that way.

wow, there really wasn't much to the main menu. never owned a Saturn back in the day. I only had a genesis. I only remember playing some demos of Nights at Walmart, Virtua Fighter at Sears, and Panzer Dragoon at Toys R Us. for some reason it just never caught my interest growing up.? probably because I was content with what I had, or maybe I just didn't like the games? :/ looking back at it now, I kinda wanted one. :) one of my classmates had one when I went to his house with a friend, I just remember the consoles aesthetics looked really cool at the time. :) I probably would have owned Sonic Jam, Shinobi Legions, Sonic 3D Blast, Earthworm Jim 2, Nights Into Dreams, Cool Spot. there's probably more, but that's just off the top of my head. :) hope they do a saturn mini or at least bring most of those games back to modern hardware with updated resolutions/aspect ratios. :)
I think you might be remembering putting a Saturn disc in and playing Track 2, it would warn you that playing the disc in the CD player could cause damage to some speakers or the Hi-Fi set and to “please remove this disc now”, that’s the closest thing I can think of for now
@@Leadready nah it was just some random sequence of buttons would unlock it. The voice started off as an anime style girl voice then when she started accusing you the voice turned evil and terrifying

how to get out of this thing? I use emulator and when i load shining force 3 it just throws me on to this screen except for that drive empty sign how to exit?
It sold 10 million units. I don't think that's a failure. Just maybe didn't perform as well as Sega would have liked seems like a better way to put it. I don't think you can sell 10 million of anything and it be a failure.
I'm a 00s kid and I legit just play on saturn every once in a while, played it yesterday even. The saddest part is that its memory doesn't work anymore so whenever I turn it off it looses its memory... Still one of my favorite consoles though ! I have tons of memories of it

Maybe the ten thousand selections for cd playing was the real reason it failed
