LostandAlive lol

Fire tire Lirepire lol

Is that a office reference when Andy has to get a tatto and do not resuscitate was a option?
My favorite part is he asks the question, "What would you do in this scenario?" and then they all proceed to never answer that question...
Tonic Hyena lol, that's a politician move
Hi I'm John kileonas
Tonic Hyena
Not revive that person or else you may be committing a crime or may be being unethical.
It's not an Easy answer. Tbh, i have no idea What i would do
Minigun Any real practicing physician would know what to do. Every state in the U.S has a set of protocols with how DNR or MOLST requests are handled. In my state you have to have a valid copy of the DNR request in front of you, not "at home" or nearby in a pile of papers where you can't find it, and it has to be properly filled out and signed in all the correct places otherwise it is not considered valid. Anybody who is actually serious about a DNR request should in fact have a copy readily accessible at all times if they do not want to continue with poor quality of life. In my particular state that tattoo would not be a valid DNR, but it would certainly alert for hospitals to have to check his pockets or belongings to see if there is a paper one that is valid. otherwise medical workers would have to act under the assumption that the person would want all possible measures taken to save a life, and would therefore be free from lawsuits since they acted in good faith.
In our med school, our ethics prof taught us that a DNR tattoo is legally accepted as a DNR. Unless their medical proxy says otherwise, that tattoo is their living will.
ShahiMehndi ohhh i didnt kno that
I’m in nursing school and they just tell us a DNR I’ve never heard of a tattoo but that’s pretty interesting, I didn’t know that.
ShahiMehndi lol their DNR tattoo is their living will....let that sit for a little bit...
Sasuke Uchiha HAHAHAHAH!!!! I'm usually pulling bad puns 24/7 and didn't catch that! lmao!!!
ShahiMehndi XD np, I do it all the time
I'm sure he ment what his tattoo said. I have like 30 tattoos and I would only put that there if I wanted it. I support their decision.
The guy was Chinese he thought the tattoo said I LOVE PIZZA
Rob Mcferron LMAO. Usually it’s the other way around.
LaFlare the same way we like Asian writing we can't understand, Asians do the same with English
No. People are idiots, he put it there thinking its cool, probably deserved it anyway
TheSilentStryke did you watch the video? He had HIV and diabetes. it turned out he had a formal DNR. Stfu and watch the video
I should tattoo *DO NOT TALK TO ME* on my forehead.
Ken Mendoza w
Ken Mendoza 🙌🏽
Just t pose on them
i think any tattoo on your forehead will send that message.
Anti social loser
That blonde girl needs to learn proper manners. You have to let people finish, even if you don't agree with them, or know what they're going to say.
L S yes can’t stand her
Johnson McBig there's a difference between feminism and bitchy behaviour.
Johnson McBig lmao at least by the self proclaimed feminists who are blurring the lines lately.
finally, someone interrupts those doctors like how they always do with guest, especially female guest.
Kimberly Figueroa hot dog
The worst part is... at the end she interrupted to say something irrelevant lmao
Afiya Kindle lmao
mY hUsBaNd'S aN Md
Afiya Kindle stupid womans
"stupid womans"

Adapt yeah womans say always stupid things.
Its 2018. Doctors- pls stop cutting eachother off
Gigi E "doctors"
They have such big egos they each think their voice is the most important to be heard
Yes it's the current year, congrats.
$B ❤️❤️❤️
Bryan Burnett I noticed that 😂
They called in the ethics committee because DNR tattoo is not equivalent to a legal DNR document and they agreed not to resuscitate him. Don't bother watching the clip.
powergamer6 So they just threw his body in the dumpster instead of reviving him? Wow, that guy was dumb for getting that tattoo huh.
Unless he didn't want to be resuscitated, like the tattoo would imply.
Watch the clip.
The ethics committee found an official DNR document.
They didn't just not resuscitate him based on the tattoo.
Why not have a tattoo like that lol I mean you should same with being a donor it's sad that doctors Nat us to write down chilling paperwork I think doctors could ask tattoo parlors to say to customers if you want to wish that you die instead of being alive the pick this tattoo
lmao even though it said in the clip that they did state it was authentic proof with doctors even calling someone who knows this knowledge on what to do. you havent actually watched the video
There is nothing more binding and serious than getting the words tattooed on your skin. It speaks volumes about what that person actually wants.
The blonde woman was pretty rude by continually cutting them off while trying to speak their opinions.
Nicholas Richardson so annoying
Nicholas Richardson I agree.
Nicholas Richardson she is the expert so she gets too excited, her husbands is an MD.
Thought this the entire time. What an idiot lol
Lunes de comida has nothing to do with her husband
Can the blonde chick NOT interrupt so much. Goodness gracious🤦🏽♂️
B-doe - ThatsHowitBdoe for crying out LOUD Paul.
But-but-but if he spoke it would be mansplaining
.......because it's not like he likes the sound of his own voice
How is she gonna get empowered if she doesn't interrupt him?? /s
The first man spoke alone for the first 1:05. The blonde bairly interrupted at an amount that was unnatural. Are we watching the same video? Y'all are just looking for anything to get your panties in a bunch over. There's more to life, fuck. Can't wait till your generation dies off.
"No regerts"
"If you resuscitate I will sue" that will get the message through to them.
No one would be sued for reviving someone with a DNR tattoo lol
Good one!
the blonde kept interrupting, change her
skrt milo AGREED
skrt milo it was annoying
I think she might just be a guest
skrt milo I was just getting ready to say “that blonde does not shut the fuck up”
skrt milo shes pretty though
Plost twist: someone wanted him dead and got it tattooed on him when he was unconscious
That would make a great movie plot twist
Oh lord, you should be a movie writer lmao
Bianca Babbles Wow,hope that wasn't the case.
The tattoo looks healed. So he’s had it for a while.
::: ::: it’s not fresh cause there’s no red area around
This man has probably gone through so much pain and suffering which explains the statement of his tattoo. And the ink looks fresh which means he’s clearly made his decision.
Guy: Don't bother saving me
Doctors: Oh, ok.
Guy: *WAIT WHAT?! IT WAS A JOKE LMAO*
Doctors: Rest In Peace
Guy: *WAIT NO I...* **dies**
hahaha
Maybe he had been resusitated before and that left im him im significant amount of pain so they should respect that and respect the mans wishes.
Sara sara Hospitals have your medical history on file, so they know if you have been resuscitated in the past. And yes, it is very painful as ribs might get cracked or you’ll be shock with up to 1000 volts, but that usually does not stop people from wanting to live.
Bianca Valentino true; or maybe he had noone else and left it as a last resort to just go
I agree. I was also thinking that he may not have had anyone worth living for, since he also gave up on taking care of himself. He must have had a hard life. I hope he is in better place now.
A tattoo isn’t a legal binding document.
Bianca Valentino hope so too so sad isnt it x
Blonde chick needs to shut it and quit being rude. They were clearly annoyed at her cutting them off.
#MannersMakethMan
Erica kingsmen 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
She cut them off like 2 times until the end and that was because she was talking and then the other dude starting talking over her while she was already speaking
Manners definitely do make th man
Erica Harry died as well. Now I'm even more sad 😂
Awwww, I love Kingsman!
Is that where scrim got that from?
Hmmm... cool.
Who
@@yumii155 scrim
A tatoo isn’t a legal document, I would want signed documentation
Bacall McElroy what if you signed the tatoo ?
Doctors need to take tattoos seriously
According to the comments
Some people carry bracelets with medication that they are allergic to.
What if someone with a dnr tattoo was going to get it removed (I think tattoo removal is a thing) that day and a car hit him and then rushed into the hospital and the doctors saw the tattoo and decided not to recessitate (can’t spell xdd) and then the dude died!
3:24, 2:22, 3:33 , 4:04 my lord just let him speak
Daniella Violet she's mansplaining
Jgordan775 nah just being fucking rude
Jgordan775 being a bitch*
Well he did just make a prostitution joke. Maybe she wanted to save him from making an ass out of himself.
staind.raindrop prostitution is hilarious
95% of the comments are about how rude the “blonde chick” is 😂
Donut Idk who she is so you?
were you possibly shit faced drunk when you typed out that response? it makes no sense at all XD
No wonder she looks like she got a stick up her ass silly bitch
The guy was Chinese he thought the tattoo said I LOVE PIZZA
Donut She's not even rude though
I'm allergic to Penicillin. I need a tattoo because this is dangerous!
SeSe same
Same I’m allergic to penicillin and amoxicillin
Hope you get one. Or put it on a dog tag
If a suicidal person didnt want to be saved doctors would save them amyway. So why doesnt that apply in this man's situation.
Suicidal people can be helped, and in a lot of cases they wind up wanting to live. That's not always the case with someone who has a DNR.
Hayden that doesn't make any sense.
Nouf A If someone with a DNR is saved from a bad accident or event they could turn into a vegetable, and that's no way to live. They'd rather be at peace.
Then I would sue them
I can see your point but I just believe that it is highly immoral to take life or letting someone die regardless of their health condition.
idk why its controversial. anyone who gets this tattoo is warned that hospitals will take it seriously. how much clearer can someone be? they made the conscious decision to permanently put the DNR on their body.
Serena 영화 Song it’s controversial because a of the legal dilemma. A tattoo is not a form of legal documentation. Also, what if he was only unconscious because a car hit him, but he was otherwise fine before that? Another example: a generally healthy patient gets anesthesia, goes to surgery, and ends up coding because of the anesthesia- nothing else. But they have a DNR. Not everyone with a DNR is sick or dying. If the anesthesia were the cause of the patient coding/dying, they’d take measures to bring that person back.
Angie the first ones kinda possible, the second sounds like a soup opera plot. I fucking doubt it.
Katie Bayliss do you even work in healthcare? The second one is based off of something very similar that happened to a patient, that I witnessed a few years back. So frankly, I don’t give a shit if you “doubt it” lol.
Angie no I'm not in healthcare, I don't have to be in healthcare to know if something sounds like bullshit. Sorry I don't take your anecdote as evidence.
Katie Bayliss no, you’d have to be in healthcare to know the kind of stuff that happens in healthcare, especially in acute care. So obviously, again, Idc what you think or whether you believe me. Doesn’t make a difference to me
Blondie is a bit aggressive
kennedy jones no she's not
TEXAS Ive seen you in a few of the comments about people telling her to chill, you got a crush?
Swerving Gem no I'm just sick of weak minded idiots..
Ahh
kennedy jones agressive is good
Man : Hey man I know I am unconscious but I don't want to go on living, please don't bring me back to life.
Doctor: such confusion.much perplexed.
G V neither is a bracelet? It doesn’t matter if it’s legal or not, there should not be a moral dilemma. If someone DNR is very visible and very clear, that should be enough.
Fen Karma that's a made up scenario that can't be anticipated. It can only be taken at face value.
Fen Karma if he had changed his mind he simply could’ve asked to get the “not” crossed. I’m pretty sure you can find plenty of tattooers willing to do something like that for free. But since he did nothing to show his change of mind there is no real reason to think that the said change of mind ever happened
the Dr with Blonde hair needs to keep quiet when people are trying to say something
marklola12 She is a lawyer so .....
marklola12 she is blonde so ...
She is a pretty blond lawyer, so...
if she was a man you wouldn't say a word. They wouldn't bring her on the show if they didn't want to hear her views
Ashley Thomas here arise the feminist blonde gal who takes offense in everything as if we are all not liking her strictly becuase she's female. Now woman please refrain from commenting since you're easily offended by 'she's blonde so...' .
My 80 yr. Old mother told me 15 years ago she wanted a Tattoo on her chest that said DNR. She worked at a hospital for many years and did not wish to be on life support. Looks like she was ahead of her time.
This one's hard because you don't know if the tattoo is a real instruction or some pop culture reference. What if he was just copying a movie character who had the same tattoo? Since this was a sick, 70-year-old man, it was probably serious, but if it was a young punk, who knows?
IglooDweller could be. But his health was Terrible and he was an alcoholic. Chances are he hated his life
Lol young punk
He also had a formal dnr.
i highly doubt the tattoo could be interpreted as a pop culture reference, especially when it's tattooed on the chest area.
Also, as he's old, the tattoo would have faded a load over that time.
My grandmother has a DNR and my mother and I would have been very happy to see them following what is clearly stated on his skin. The rest of my family however, probably would be incredibly upset to even find out that she has a DNR as they side with treat until it’s absolutely untreatable. The difference for us is they want her alive so that she’s still around for them (no matter her pain), while we want what’s best for her, not for us.
Man wanted to go out on his own terms, I can respect it.
I came from an Ink Master marathon.
Silently Me what season are u watching? Im currently watching season 8
Same
Silently Me me too
Omg same here!
I love ink master
There should a notary public tattooist to make that dnr tattoo official
There are already medical tattoo artists. But there's no way to prove you got a DNR tattoo from a "notary public tattooist" that made it official, vs any other tattoo artist. Unless you got DNR documents to go along with it, but then what's the point of a tattoo if you have to look at DNR documents to confirm it anyway?
TheZiver I dunno... It was mostly a joke, but how do you necessarily know that a notarized document hasn't been forged? Is there a database to confirm that stuff? I honestly don't know
draingang maybe the medical tattoo artist could use a special ink which doctors could scan, kind of like how fluorescent light shows blood and semen
That would be one boring tattoo shop
this is honestly a mood
*Man gets a tattoo with clear instructions that expresses his wish*
"What should we do?"
Ask the Ethics committee, I guess...
He got that tat for a reason.
Stephanie Mariah shut up
SHUSH BLONDIE!!! Lol
Fructus Dea lmaooooo I was thinking the same
Exactly!!
This is so amazing. Its speaks so much to me:
This video won't leave my Recommended
Get rid of this blonde lady my god she thinks it’s her show or something lol
If I had a DNR tattoo, and was resuscitated, I would sue everyone!!!
Thankfully a tattoo isnt a legal document. You would lose. A DNR needs to be signed by a physician.
Or just get a DNR bracelet not a tattoo
I'm so glad this happened. I would want a DNR tattoo honored.
When it comes to “Do Not Resuscitate” orders, it is important to remember patient autonomy. Autonomy means that the patient has the ability to make informed decisions about their medical care if they have the capacity. They must understand the consequences of their actions as well as make and communicate that choice. In a normal scenario of getting informed consent from a patient, it is important to have a physician-patient conversation covering the possible forms of treatment, alternatives, risks and benefits, as well as consequences. However, in an emergent situation, consent is implied, and physicians may presume that patient in question would consent because delaying treatment to obtain informed consent may put the patient at higher risk or result in death. The only limitation to implied consent is that if the wishes of the patient are known, implied consent is not to be followed. Although a tattoo may not be the ideal form of communication in the case of a life or death situation, the patient clearly did make a deceleration of his choice in the matter, and the physician is obliged to honor the wishes of the patient whether or not he/she agrees with that decision. Many people have suggested it would be best to check with the patient’s family to see what their wishes are. However, since the patient’s wishes are clear, and he was able to communicate that when he had the capacity, the family’s opinion should not play a role in the decision process. Hopefully, with the prevalence of the electronic medical record, some type of online universal system will be created for those who do not wish to be resuscitated, in order to confirm their wishes as well as be available for health care professionals to find and access quickly. Regardless, any form that a person chooses to communicate their wishes should be respected.
The blonde needs to chill lmao
Kimberlyscronicles she needs to shut the fuck up. The guy had a DNR tattoo and there was no way to get his permission to begin treatment so they shouldn't resuscitate him.
For an unconscious person there is such thing as implied consent unless there is a legally binding document to prove the individual does not want treatment such as a DNR or RESPECT form.
She needs to get gagged and bound like a nice little blonde
Skiz Fucking hell😂
Im getting a tattoo "Free Health Care" 😎

Man i love this band, do not resuscitate ill get a tattoo of them!
Why was she so rude!!!!!!!!
because she is a blonde bibmo
My mum in the pic had a dnr....when she stoped breathing in the hospital on Sept 3rd I wanted to go against her wishes...but I respected her wishes and let her go...she had terminal cancer...no point on keeping her on life support to pass away days later...I'm gonna have the thing for me...My name is Emma
Pamela Harrington
You made the wrong decision.
You made the wrong decision.
I think she made the right decision as it would be cruel to let someone who is dying live an artificial life if they had stated that they do not want to be resuscitated if the situation came to it. Think about her quality of life, she wouldn't be able to live her life and was terminally ill with cancer. Since she had a DNR, it's not wrong that Emily chose to respect her mother's wishes
Hannibus 42 jadendaboss 1 Gaines Fuck both of you.
You made the right decision. You respected her. It’s what she wanted. She loves you no matter what
He should've also tattooed, "I'm not joking. This is binding." And with his signature
I laughed when the blonde lady pointed at herself and said there is a big elephant in the room lol
Every morning when your husband leaves you say "don't get sued today"? Wow, talk about a romantic.
Why is you siting in a toilet
Didnt wanna know that
Hermit Wizard omg the comments!!! Im just here for these!!!!❤
Ay who you callin a snow flake you you iceberg gtfo

It's one's right to refuse to be revived from death.
Phaedric Draegar correct. That wasn't the debate though
Even though attempting/committing suicide is illegal.
resdraon it's classed as euthanasia so depending on the country there are different laws
This is evil.
Not in Europe
The blonde did good waiting her turn to speak even though I could tell she really wanted to have an input regularly
That guy was fucking trolling the medical staff.
Lmfao she tells her husband “Don’t get sued today” instead of “I love you” that is true love right there, folks
He should have added “I’m serious” below the tattoo.
My opinion also
i’d prefer to die rather than live in debt and misery
G V the fuck insurance gonna do you can still be in debt in other ways
G V im not talking about you personally
G V you do know that about 76% of americas die with an averag rate of 60,000$ right ?
G V you still don't understand nobody is talking about you huh ?
Your debts carry on to your children
i like the medical bracelet idea. N to add to it, every bracelet can have a code or a number which corresponds to special instructions before docs can start performing any procedures.
That blond lady needs to learn to raise her hand before she speaks! 😏
HENRY THE RC CAR im subbed and have been for a while :]
OMG HI!!!! I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL
HENRY THE RC CAR. Right when I read this she popped up out of nowhere 😂😂
HENRY THE RC CAR You too

Rolling my eyes at this thread
Izaiah Frederick should make her check herself and get me a sandwich
i think its a persons right if they want to live or not. You shouldnt FORCE a person to be alive.
STOP INTERRUPTING ONE ANOTHER!!! Reminds me of that College Humor sketch where everyone is just waiting to tell their own story and not listening to one another lol
Blonde chick is very rude .
Allie Zimmerman no you are
TEXAS. Hi.. Have a good day
Allie Zimmerman good deal..
I’d fuck
She's one of those chicks that think everything's about them.
I thought the tattoo was a joke
Joe Sanders chronic health problems out the ass...i would assume he knew he'd be in an emergency situation at some point. Honestly the underline really drives it home.
Same here.
Why would it be a joke?
what if it was
0:52 Me when I wasn't listening and the teacher makes an eye contact with me
I have one that says please return to the pub if I’m ever found unconscious in the street
I 100% support their choice; I know in Ontario when I was getting my first aid the instructor said he came across this situation & the doctors/first aid attendants had to do everything in their power to try & recesitate that person because the tattoo wasn't enough...it's the same situation if you've gotten your medical alert tattooed on; they don't view it as something to look for when doing an initial assessment.
3:35 - I have to disagree. I'm an RN in my city's hospital and a lot of doctors feel like treatments are futile care and wish family would agree to cease aggressive treatment. It's often with a disgruntled sigh in the safety of the dictation room they enter orders for exams and tests to please the unrealistic expectations of family. A majority of the time it's the family that refuses to let go. They become defensive and angry when you try to explain quality versus quantity of life for little 90-year-old grandma with multiple contractures and bedsores who has end-stage dementia, kidney failure, COPD, and CHF, among other things. There's nothing left to fix, but they still want us to keep going with invasive treatments and tests. As a nurse, a lot of times I feel as though I'm being paid to torture another human being simply the family will not consent to end-of-life care.
GenericUnicorn Wont have to worry about doing that to me I dont want ANY treatment from the medial practitioners.
GenericUnicorn indeed...this is how my mother feels when does does icu and trauma...which she always does about 11 years now for icu and trama.. she always tells us stories and it's pretty sad to see..considering that they pretty much are forced to keep going regardless of the condition of the patient just to keep them alive for whatever emotional reason. Oh grandpa doesn't want to die hes not ready keep trying he's only 90+ with who knows how many problems and is kept alive by tubes and machines doing the work for his body ..Like people..just why..let the people rest..
I feel like patients should be able to chose for themself if its their time to go, if they can ( maybe even have a document set up or something who knows ). Like if I´m 80 or 90 and have alzheimers, dementia, can´t walk, I would rather be dead than be a vegetable. I had a full life. Might as well go with grace.
GenericUnicorn would you trust an RN with an anime profile picture
shut up weeb
That's not a slippery slope. DNR means DO NOT RESUSCITATE! Had that guy been resuscitated and been given months of hospital time and a huge bill he had no money for, I would have loved to see that hospital go out of business from the law suit.
G V it is actually
G V what year are you kid? don't try to play lawyer when you haven't even done your thesis.
+FZ Project prove it
Máté Varga have you ever studied purpose of law and legal interpretation? if you have studied those, you will understand what I think about this case and I have no interest to explain those things.
Do not resuscitate could be his death metal band 😂😂
I can understand why they were hesitant to follow the tattoos instructions, as a "DNR" should really be on official papers (otherwise, the family could've sued the hospital in such a situation). Personally, I know I will never allow a DNR to be put into my medical files; as my family almost lost me to sepsis 4 years ago & I wouldn't want them to suffer such pain again ... not if I could be saved. ✨🏥✨
Rachel Hunter skin still official its on their body. Otherwise it wouldn't have been there. If a family member had a dnr on their skini would respect their wishes. If it was paper, forget about the paper, burn it and tell 'em he/she was dreaming/not right/on drugs/etc.. Paper means nothing.
Rachel Hunter they could even forget about the paper
+Gigi Mosa While there are laws that forbid the unapproved destruction of official medical papers, I can understand where you're coming from. I was only just diagnosed with type 2 diabetes & half-wondered if I should tattoo myself with a "diabetic-alert" of some kind (though it might be a bad decision, as a persons diabetes can change over time). Not likely to happen with me though, since I have CRPS, which would only make me sensitive to getting one done... 😅
you will go eventually though. Not having DNR will not save you it just might buy you a little more time thats it.
Just imagine when you’re 70 years old with no living family and every day you live in excruciating pain. That’s how my grandma was and I wish my family would’ve let her pass because the last month of her life was horrible for her and she never wanted to live that way
It's straight forward do not resuscitate. There is no complex bs.
johnathan hawkins there is no legal protection, they were risking their jobs
^true and thats why society is fucked up. the legal system is trash. how about 20 years for cannabis possesion? Ill respect that, sitting next to rapist and murderers. gotta love justice
They're American so everything is complex to them
jojibot this kind of generalization only makes you look stupid
To get a tattoo like that 90% + have a DNR and they need to respect the fact that he has the right to refuse medical help
This guy just circle gamed the good samaritan law
That’s metal as fuck dude.
Why does the blonde lady keep interrupting omg
ZOOBZGOMEZ she’s blonde
Elis I'm blonde to lol

isnt she mansplanning?
because her husband is a doctor and she thinks she is someone because of it
It's called a cover up tattoo... why would someone use sharpie or duct tape when they already have a tattoo? lol
Cryztal85 she's talking about the arm bands
Cryztal85 that's what I was thinking too. Smh.. All you need to do is cover it or cover the word "not".
Stacy Castello why would you use sharpie on an armband, she was talking about how armbands are superior to tattoos because you can take them off instead of using a sharpie or a piece of tape to cover the tattoo. She is obviously not the brightest
Cryztal85 she was being sarcastic obviously you dumbfucks
the best tatoo that ever existed
(From Melbourne Australia) There is a similar situation here where each state and territory has its own rules and regulations around the DNR. I happen to have a DNR in place myself, and there needs to be some kind of national central database where health care providers at every level can access the patients DNR information

Clearly the doctors were in the right. I thought this was America, where we're supposedly able yo decide what we want to do with our lives. Saving this man would go against that idea in every way. This shouldn't even be a debate.
My uncle has “do not disturb” on his eyelids lol

You do know the topic is about whether doctors should consider the tattoo legal right? Not whether the patient means the tattoo.
