Moving My Excavator In Preparation For a New Public Trail Build | Skidmarks Ep 0

I need to move my excavator in preparation for a new project. This summer I will be building an Expert level MTB trail that will be open to the public. While I've built many trails by hand before, this is the first sizable projects I've taken on with the help of my Cat 301.7 Mini Excavator. I'm very excited to bring you along for the ride, but we have a long road ahead of us.

That's good to hear, this was my first time loading anything on a trailer before so i was a bit nervous. I tried to do my research, but i think the fact that the excavator is pretty small certainly helped.

This looks great! Seems like there are some trails done already... A nice preview of that cannon and a few berms. This is a 5 minute drive from my house I'm psyched for this. You need some volunteers to move some dirt let me know phil!

Hehe, i feel like i need to set expectations. As good as i hope these trails turn out, even in the best case scenario, I can tell you it won't be worth a 13hr trip just to ride this alone. That being said, Vermont does have a lot of great stuff and hopefully the stuff here will add to the already existing trail networks which together are worth a longer trip.

I haven't been around an adaptive MTB, only seen them in videos. Do the wheelbases+suspension not work out for adaptive bikes on rock rolls like that? Or is weight too far front biased to absorb the g-out?

The transition on this one is too abrupt, it's be like a car going over. Also for obvious reasons it's harder for some adaptive riders to shit their weight around, their center of mass is a bit more static
