I've had this scale for years and I can confirm his complaint that it has trouble measuring anything under 3 or 4 grams. The numbers jump around on the display (if it even registers at all). I use curing salts and sometimes need only 1g or less. I can't get it to weigh out accurately, but it works great for heavier loads. I got a separate scale to measure at .00g, which I need. This is excellent for daily kitchen use though. My wife loves it for baking.
Great Detail Video! Appreciate All The Informative Information & Your Likes & Dislikes! Just wished maybe to speak slower & clear books up front off desk/tabletop a bit of a distraction. Thanks!
Only Problem is that it reads in whole numbers as you pointed out when when you said the sensitivity is low. I assume the scale rounds up at .5 and down below .5 when weighing coffee.
I'm not switching between lbs and grams, ever. Let alone often enough for it to be one of two buttons on the front of the scale. My search for a decent kitchen scale continues...
This is a pretty late reaponse and you probably got a new scale by now, but being stuck at one usually indicates a calibration issues. The manual states to make sure it is on a level flat surface. However it may be an issue with a switch inside the device.
OK, I know I can do the math and this will sound lazy, but the very first recipe I started to make after buying this scale called for "3/4 lb of bucatini". There is no way to have the display express the weight in fractional lbs. It only measures in lbs/oz (or kg/g). It's a minor complaint, but I have to say this annoyed me right off the bat. My older "EatSmart" digital food scale toggles between lbs, oz, g, and kg. If I am mistaken and there IS a way for me to see "0.75 lbs" please let me know.
I don't understand. Measure out 0.75 lbs which is 3/4 lbs. It's not hard for fractions like that, if you said 3/19 lbs that would be a different story. No math involved either. 1 lb is 1 lb 3/4 lb is 0.75 lbs 1/2 or 2/4 lb is 0.5 lbs 1/3 lb is 0.33 lbs 1/4 lb is 0.25 lbs

I just purchased the scale, and I am ready to send it back to the company.
Fill the clear part with soap and the rest with wsrm water. This is actually a foam soap dispenser.

Mine is stuck on 1 when I try to use it. Anyone knows if there's a secret reset button anywhere? Cheers!
mine too. Did you figure it out?

No half weight on the gram setting
Half this video comes directly from the America's test kitchen video of kitchen scales.

Do you want a kitchen scale, too?

1 lb is 1 lb
3/4 lb is 0.75 lbs
1/2 or 2/4 lb is 0.5 lbs
1/3 lb is 0.33 lbs
1/4 lb is 0.25 lbs
@@бронза.вафля.конус Do this on your scale and send me a photo of the display showing "0.75 pounds". Then tell me how you did it.
👍🏿
I want to note that is not the exact same scale.
This scale does not measure mls or floz. I would not buy it for that reason.
