Even though I know I'll never be able to fix my broken toys to the level you achieve, I just don't have the creative mind or confidence or ability, but there's still something so satisfying knowing in some corner of Toy Polloi HQ, broken toys like this are proudly on display and fixed, back to their former glory. It's like feeling a sense of satisfaction of a wonderful fix by proxy, and I can live with that. Thanks Dave.
Right on I utilized knowledge learned from Dave last night. I fixed a broken arm of a Cobra soldier using a pen vice. It snapped right out of the package. Now it's an awesome addition to my collection. Thanks Dave!!!😂
Great Sly Rax Piranha repair video! This was my 3rd M.A.S.K. character/vehicle I bought back then as a kid of my 14 vehicle/figures/Boulder Hill collection. The 3" figure packed with each compact, small transforming vehicle with incredible packaging design/art won me over and M.A.S.K. became my favorite line. Thanks!
Wow! The silver stickers look great. I think some of your best videos start with an unplayable toy (no front wheel on a motorbike is a problem), and seeing them restored to greatness is always so satisfying.
I loved M.A.S.K. as a child and still love it today. It's nice to see that these toys worth preserving are given a second life and don't end up in the trash. As always, good work, Dave!
The first and only MASK toy I ever owned. Got it for Xmas and Loved it! My Mam originally came back with Slingshot (which I was less than happy about in typically whiney kid fashion, lol!) Then she went back to scour the shops for Sly Rax and Piranha. I was absolutely thrilled come Xmas morning. :) A fabulous job Dave on repairing this wonderful toy.
I love it when you repair M.A.S.K. vehicles and figures! I've really gotten into this toyline in the last 3 years, so I can't get enough of this kind of content! Your fixes are exemplar as always, Dave! Lego again has saved the day connecting the bike to the fork, and I love the "tuning fork" repair also! Really a smart idea on your part! I'm also glad that the wings on the sidecar didn't present too much of a challenge! Piranha is one of the quintessential MASK vehicles, so it was delightful to see you put this one back in good nick! Well done, man!
You said this in another video, but toys that are meant to be submarines inevitably get played with in the water. I imagine these are the sort of toys that had the most play value.
I've always wanted to get a Piranha so Rax can have his vehicle alongside my Manta and Vanessa, but almost everything I find in local toy conventions have the motocycle windshield either missing or broken. I don't have the tools or confidence to repair one so I'm hoping I might find one this year.
Another great M.A.S.K. repair video Dave. I’ve become quite the fan of these videos & the toy line. Hoping to pick up my first M.A.S.K vehicles & figures in the near future!
Thanks for charging this. I found the side car a while ago (the bike was missing, and that launch mechanism too) I had the same issue with the wings. Guess I can give it a try to fix that now 🙂👍
Impressive stuff, especially the bike front clip.😁 Seems like the desire to make single toy pieces with everything molded together tends to produce those break points, probably worse so with clear plastics. In that sense I kind of wish toys would take a page from Technic and join two pieces with a nice generic replaceable part which your repair mimics.
Come to think of it, 3 out of the 4 MASK vehicles I got were motorbikes. Partly because they looked cool but also because they were the smallest/cheapest vehicles you could buy in the range.
Wow i found the dude and his side car in my Mommaws garage as a kid, didnt have the windshield. I always thought it was a sort airplane lmao, never knew it was a damn sidecar hahaha!!
I love the variety of fixes in this video. It really turned out great, Dave! Are you still enjoying your dive into the M.A.S.K. toy line? You’ve gotten several now. How far would you say you are from completing the collection? Are you hoping to get them all?
That sidecar is a pain to fix if there’s anything internally broken. I had one with the black pins snapped off. The chrome piece is really brittle but it clips on then you have to get apart the 2 body halves, problem is there’s 2 pin/sockets on the back which are glued so you’re forced to cutting them off and glueing the back half up.
Great video as always. Would you be open to the idea of a quick collection video of what you have displayed currently? I know you store things away and change up your shelves, I just like the idea of seeing your current setup. Apologies if you constantly get asked this.
I get asked a lot about that. My room is just never clear enough to make it easy to do. There are always projects and filming equipment in the way. My room is tiny!
Love the MASK repairs! It just occurred to me though that I don't think Ive ever seen you fix up anything to do with Dino Riders. Have I missed it or have you just never came across anything from that line?
Sky Rax 😎
Awesome restoration Dave, thanks!

Ability comes from experience. We all started with zero skill.
Thanks. And just give it a go. If a toy is broken what harm is there trying to fix it up. You learn as you go along. Cheers
Well said!

One of my favorite all time MASK vehicles. It's badass, the price was on the lower end and the sidecar becomes a submarine. It's just a fun toy.

Thanks 👍
Sidecar is a submarine. I had this when I was a kid I always liked M.A.S.K. very creative toys.
To brighten up the plastic and windscreens I use a Kiwi Express Shine Sponge. It's for shoes but works great on many surfaces.
Thanks for the info!
Great job of restoration, once again, Dave.

The MASK repairs make some extremely interesting projects mate ❤
Thanks. They are great fun to work on. Always interesting to see how they work inside.
another TOYrrific restoration Dave : )
My brother and I both got this for Christmas one year. Great toy cool to see it on the mat.
Priceless as usual! Don't even talk about the intro that is AMAZING!! Thanks dude:)

Nicely done. Thanks Dave.
Hey Dave
Very inventive fixes, thank you for sharing. Happy Weekend to you and MrsTP and take care of Yourselves 😊
Thanks 👍
Excellent work once again!
Thank you! Cheers!
One of these days, I’m gonna leave the cube farm and bring my childhood toy chest down from the attic and go on a Toy Polloi repair video bender!
Wow, Dave! You are really raking in subscribers! I'm so proud of you! Love your stuff and always have and always will.
Thanks. After 10 years I am finally getting that meteoric rise 🤣 It is very pleasing to finally get people seeing what I do.
What I like about older toys, it's basically just screws holding them together, not funky screws, just regular Phillips head.
Very cool fix.
Great fix Dave 👍🏻

Glad I could help
Dave, great vid, and now you have another awesome vehicle for your ever growing M.A.S.K. collection!
Cheers!
Thanks 👍

How does he do it MAGICALLY!
Wow i found the dude and his side car in my Mommaws garage as a kid, didnt have the windshield. I always thought it was a sort airplane lmao, never knew it was a damn sidecar hahaha!!
Awesome

Thanks. They are really fun to work on. I don't think I have that many as I know there were a lot of vehicles made.

Still have my piranha, I have the front window problem on mine, but wonder if making it with clear styrene would be a more sympathetic solution.
Why is Bruce Sato never selected for these jobs? He's seemingly ALWAYS selected for missions, AND he makes toys! It's a complete mystery. ;P
When he's busy they always use Toy Polloi. I think he's on holiday at the moment.
Genius simple fix for the windshield. Bravo 👏 wondering why you decided not paint chrome the sides (engine) for example?
Cheers. This video was just about repairing these common issues not a full restoration.

I've had that purple little sled thing for years and never knew what it was for.
Love the MASK repairs!
It just occurred to me though that I don't think Ive ever seen you fix up anything to do with Dino Riders. Have I missed it or have you just never came across anything from that line?
I don't have any dino riders in my collection. A line I never got into.
The "Lego Destruction" warning always makes me snicker a bit.
🤣😎
Stiletto! On!
I was wondering if you had Goo Gone on your side of the pond it is far more pleasant smelling than lighter fluid.
Not that I have ever seen. Cheers
@@toypolloi they have it on the UK Amazon page so you can get it over there
Oh yeah lego destruction
You do know that you just helped a criminal by repairing his bike right?
