I love it when you run into something unplanned like that. It shows off your ingenuity. As soon as I saw the detached head, I said to myself "Lego!". 😆
Not only another great video, but also a nice little life lesson. Dave your vids are so pleasant and relaxing to watch I feel like you are the Bob Ross of toy restoration!
Love this one. Warduke was my go to bad guy against everyone from GI Joe to Star Wars. I’m glad you made this in case my figure breaks. He was used on many a mission, both land and water.
" 'Tis But A Scratch " but I know a man who can help! :) Excellent repair job by Dave for Toy Polloi. I also believe that NECA are releasing a new version of Warduke, very soon.
Great video. The Lego technique for the heads is brilliant. Swapping the heads looked like fun. And it was great to see something go wrong with the repair but then you quickly changed plans and figured it out.
I've been trying to collect this line more lately. I never had them as a kid, but always loved them and wanted them. Part of the problem of growing up in the 80's was there were so many action figure lines I loved and wanted to collect, that Mom wouldn't let me collect them all. Anyway I've recently come across rhe Dragonne figure for this line in a yard sale. Got it cheap. But it was missing it's head and wings. I bought another broken one on ebay along with a Hooked Horror with a broken foot. The broken Dragonne i bought on ebay is missing it's wings and an arm. I already had a complete Hooked Horror. My goal is to get the wings I need and make some molds and cast parts and eventually have a complete stock Dragonne, a repainted custom Dragonne, and a custom repainted Hooked Horror.
don't collect toys but think your channel is brilliant love seeing toys I used to play with as a kid and you have really helped me out with my kids when they have broken there's
I remember my Strongheart figure losing its head and both legs, but luckily my Dad just super glued them back on. Think it may be missing one leg, but I'm grateful for how much i do still have -including the slightly ripped cape and sword. If I could get another loose leg maybe I could glue that on and I'd at least have a complete static figurine.
Love this line so much. Only need one wing for tiamat to finish it but I fixed a strongheart years ago and at the time no one was showing how to repair anything on these figs . Great video .
Thanks. I have another video on these in a few weeks showing how to repair the broken T-bars on the legs, that's a tricky one I have been meaning to show for ages.
Great video, I had to do this for mine the head was too tight I forgot when I refound him in a box, head snapped!! But had g.i.joes and I did customs so I had found a good head replacement on ebay and got mine back with his nightmare!! All your videos are so informative!!!!
I did some similar restringing repairs to a Miss Dollikin and a strange small Dinah Mite-type doll. I found that pulling the elastic taut at the neck and clamping it with hemostats allowed me to knot the cord quite easily, without needing to hold the doll with my knees. I do frequently have to do the knee trick when I style doll hair though, I wish I could figure out a better system where I can keep the doll stationary some other way. I have some ideas, just haven't worked out all the details yet.
If you want the heads to be a bit more sticky try the blue version of that pin as the tan one is the frictionless one. Although probably only an issue if you were using LEGO to replace the hole as well.
Nice work around you discovered there Dave! I love this line and particularly this figure. I always thought he just looked super cool. I don’t know if you heard but NECA is remaking the figures from the line in 7 Inch Scale with batter detail and articulation. As soon as I saw they were doing it, I immediately preordered Warduke. Even if I don’t get any other figs from the line, I had to have that one. I love the helmet and the asymmetrical style of the armor. Thank you for sharing these awesome fixes for my vintage version. I’m sure I’ll need them sooner rather than later. Especially that O-ring. Cheers!👍
Thanks. I have seen the new NECA figures, and also tried to get a set of the unreleased figures from them with no luck. Maybe one day I will find them.
Great fix , I had a look at the battlematic version of warduke and I can say he has no O-ring his hips are swivel joints like the old Star Wars figures , I would guess that this change was made to the other battlematic releases of the original figures
I love the "fixing" of the head. I use to have this exact version. I also had the elf ranger figure with the glow in the dark sword and the wizard. Not going to pretend to remember their names ha ha. The ranger figure was complete and about immaculate. Yes, campe included ha ha and the wizard was missing the longer staff. Warduke was my favorite of the 3 I had. I sold them. My Warduke though had a broken leg at the t-rod. I wasn't sure if another could fit in the leg. It didn't have a screw like the Joes. Someone bought it thinking he could figure out how to fix it. Not sure if he was successful.
Akways thought Warduke would look cool with a cape like how Stronheart came with one. Maybe a black cape with red trim. . .maybe that can be your next step with this Warduke
I’ve never liked the wobbly O-ring legs. Looks too much like a puppet. I would have used Lego to modify a new connector between the legs inside of the waste. Like the WarLuke. ;)
I've recently purchased the LJN Warduke and Zarak figures. Both are complete and intact. Now that I know how they're held together, I know that I shouldn't do anything that might break the O-ring or T-bar. The Grimsword figure I ordered might be from a later run that doesn't use an O-ring to attach the legs to the rest of the body.
I love it when you run into something unplanned like that. It shows off your ingenuity. As soon as I saw the detached head, I said to myself "Lego!". 😆
Ya
Thank you very much!
@@toypolloi have you ever released a blooper reel? That might be something fun for TP2.
I have. I think I've made ten in total. Just search toy Polloi bloopers and they will come up. Cheers
@@toypolloi I can see how I may've missed one or two but ten? I suck as a loyal viewer. 😆 I promise to do better in the future.
I thought snatching defeat from the jaws of victory was MY signature move. You came up with a good fix there!
Not only another great video, but also a nice little life lesson.
Dave your vids are so pleasant and relaxing to watch I feel like you are the Bob Ross of toy restoration!
Glad you enjoyed it
Way to turn a possible tragedy into an ingenious win!!! Keep thinking outside the box.
I absolutely love the Lego axle pin fix you do. I invested in a pack of 50 of them from eBay. Now I'm just waiting for something to break.
When life gives you lemons you make action man Warduke!
Love this one. Warduke was my go to bad guy against everyone from GI Joe to Star Wars. I’m glad you made this in case my figure breaks. He was used on many a mission, both land and water.
I shared this with a couple of DnD pals.
Thanks.
" 'Tis But A Scratch " but I know a man who can help! :)
Excellent repair job by Dave for Toy Polloi.
I also believe that NECA are releasing a new version of Warduke, very soon.
I tried to get some of those, but failed. And as they are NECA I expect to see them broken very very soon.
At least I’m not the only one that things don’t go quite to plan for, thanks for sharing your unplanned things , excellent video as always.
It's more fun when things go wrong sometimes. Gets the brain working harder.
Can’t wait to watch. Warduke led my Cobra armies vs. GI Joe in my back yard.
I don't know what I enjoy more. Watching you repair toys I had when I was a kid or the ones I never owned but always loved from afar
Awesome figure and repair
Great video. The Lego technique for the heads is brilliant. Swapping the heads looked like fun. And it was great to see something go wrong with the repair but then you quickly changed plans and figured it out.

Brilliant double-fix! Toy Polloi two-for-one special!
Hey Dave
My favourite parental guidance warning out there. Once again had no idea this line of toys existed, yet great fix.
Have a great weekend 😊
Massive thanks for that video Dave!
My pleasure!

Neca is releasing a warduke, in case you didn't know
I knew about it. But I wasn't sure if I'd buy it. Always depends on what my cash is like when I find something I want.
Great repair . Great fix . Thank you.

LOVED this video. Making a mistake is OK cause you can learn from them. This has also made me want to hunt down a Warduke...
Nice work around, I had that figure as a kid too, nice job.
Thanks!
that was good fun, sometimes, I like things to go a little wrong as you say, it makes you re-think the plan.

Nice this leg fix helped me with with my vintage blackstar figure 👍🏼😎 love what you do ⚔️💪🏻⚔️💯🎯
Thanks. Glad it helped.

7:53 "A Luke version of Warduke."
I am beyond perturbed that you didn't call him Warluke.
Good day, sir...I said GOOD DAY! :P
I think we need to see some of these figures with lego heads

Damn when even Dave messes up u know we are in the end of times haha
It's when I mess up and can't fix it you have to worry 😉
Another great video! Do you have any Action Man videos planned?
Thanks. I did an Action Man video last week.
WarLuke!
Great fix , I had a look at the battlematic version of warduke and I can say he has no O-ring his hips are swivel joints like the old Star Wars figures , I would guess that this change was made to the other battlematic releases of the original figures
All the battlematic versions have fixed legs. I'm guessing the new mechanism left no room for the o-ring construction.
I love the "fixing" of the head. I use to have this exact version. I also had the elf ranger figure with the glow in the dark sword and the wizard. Not going to pretend to remember their names ha ha. @@toypolloi I'll keep a watch for it.
cool fix enjoyed you fixing it like actiin man .have you ever thought having go custum weapons for figures you get with no weapins
‘Tis but a flesh wound…I’ve hurt worse”
can you do arm rivet replacements for war duke?
do you know how to replace the cape for strongheart and mercion?
Is this a Blooper real lol 😆
Warluke
Any suggestions on how to get a replacement for the metal piece holding the legs together? Mine has snappped.
Yes, I have a video on that very problem.

@@toypolloi Thanks so much!

He could rock a cape for sure 😎
What about the legs that attach to the ball part of the hip t-bar joint?
mine are loose as hell.
This is my other video on the legs: ua-cam.com/video/_-FWNWsvh2Y/v-deo.html&pp=ygUTdG95IHBvbGxvaSBhZHZhbmNlZA%3D%3D
I was thinking Monty Python too 😂
A Luke vrsion of Warduke? So a WarLuke.
It's just a scratch, Dave 😂
I never knew there was a line of D&D action figures.
(watches you swap the heads around) Heh heh...War Luke.
Ah back to using your Cordless Drill I see
A Luke version of Warduke?
I think I'll call him "WarLuke".

I actually ‘Gasped Out Loud’ or ‘GOLed’ if you will, when the elastic snapped!
I’ve never liked the wobbly O-ring legs. Looks too much like a puppet. I would have used Lego to modify a new connector between the legs inside of the waste. Like the WarLuke. ;)
The second version with the Battlematic action has fixed legs. I prefer this early version as it's more posable.
make molds before you fix hin.

They are pretty easy to fix even if the t- bar breaks. I have another video on that. And yes, later figures don't have the same issues.
Fantastic video, Dave. We're huge fans of Dungeons & Dragons. Hopefully, in the future, you'll have more D&D restorations.
Thanks. More to come in a few weeks on these guys.
