My 3 Favorite Stock Trading Patterns

It's not easy becoming a successful penny stock trader, to be totally straight with you. In fact, most traders lose.
So how do you avoid becoming just another statistic? You have to prepare. I can offer you tons of learning materials: DVDs, video lessons, webinars, and mentoring. Of course you can study on your own, but why not do everything possible to help reduce your learning curve?
No matter your endeavor, it helps when you have a mentor. If you join my Trading Challenge, I can be your mentor. But it's not just me - my top students also mentor other students. We have a great community.
Now, if you break it down, we don't trade thousands, or even hundreds, of different patterns. It's not rocket science. Personally, I have three favorites.
My first favorite is dip-buying morning panics on recent multi-day, multi-week, multi-month runners. My second is the first green day on a stock that's maybe been down-trending. My third favorite, which used to be my absolute favorite, is shorting the first red day on pump and dumps.
You don't need to learn every pattern. And complexity doesn't necessarily make a pattern better or more reliable. You need to find a few patterns that work for your strategy. Study them. ain experience with them. Once you're really comfortable with them, you can learn to love them.

Hey there Mr. Sykes! I’m about three weeks into my studies. I’d like to ask you: In regards to gaining knowledge from the penny stock market, how beneficial is the practice of paper trading?
Hi Tim, love your videos. But out of these 3 patterns, it seems 1 (dip buying on multi day runners) and 3 (short multi day runners) are very similar if not the same, but the directions are totally different. How can we identify the difference between the two?

Love this video because it solidifies the idea in my brain that I can use a couple of patterns that I "get" and be successful at trading. Lately I've been feeling (and trading) like a kitten that has a whole bunch of yarn balls thrown its way. You've distilled this all down to something doable! Thanks again Tim.

Does first Green Day mean it has to be an actual day or just a shift in price momentum from negative to positive?

I been learning watched like 100 videos and doing due diligence because of you Timothy I got into stocks in free time made my first 5 trades and in 1 week made first sale and scored 130$ profit and my profile grown 5% value in first week this my 2nd week of trading love all you have taught and been focused on what you have taught me and set goals and it works perfect thank you very much I will continue watching and learning thank you
made sale next day on TEQ in at .74 been watching since start got in on first actual green day rode it up to .98 that was my goal so I cut it but knew it would keep green thought about rebuy at .98 but said I made my goal now up to 1.6 even hit 1.7 but happy with my goal opening trust in my trading but focusing on risk management and control don't wanna get too cocky so still trading scared thanks Tim
I would agree with Tim, I also use 3 patterns and it's been extremely profitable. One HUGE mistake I made in the early days, was trying to grab EVERY oppotunity out there. I was literally tracking dozens and dozens of stock. That was mistake #1. Then I felt I HAD TO TRADE or else I was missing out on an opportunity. That was another huge mistake. These day I track 12 stocks. That's it. I look for my favorite patterns and if they don't appear, I don't trade.

Just getting into this. Started this week. Doing a lot of research on Pharmaceutical companies with upcoming meetings with FDA phase approvals. What do you think about using those as a way to day trade $1 stocks? I’ve watched a couple stocks this week that probably made a lot day traders some good returns all because of some news about FDA approvals or meeting with FDA to talk about expanding phases. Let me know what you think?

How much is starting money/tuition costs and platform costs. How much we talking about?
there are options with interactive brokers
although by the 8 months that your are in, you'll have to pay $10,000 in commissions
there commissions initiate at $1
@@johnherrera2132 wow ok. Well I am about to start paper trading tomorrow. Maybe I will try learning from my mistakes as it is free anyway and analyse why something won or lost. Ive watched a fair amount of videos on candles, doji's, trends, etc so I am much wiser than I was a week ago. But by no means was I ready to jump into the real thing yet. Just wanted an idea of how much I would need, from a set time from now for example. So thank you

Paper trading is worthless if you’re new. You’re missing the most important part, the emotion, which only comes from risking money. Just trade 100$ a trade , enough to cover fees and see what works. Paper trading is ok if you have experience and are trying a new strategy
tinkering to find my favorite.
Tim or anyone. I need help. I raised the 13.5 K to open up a new trading account. I assumed that the margin amounts would put me over the 25K to get around the pattern day trader rule but I just got off the phone with my TD Ameritrade broker and he said that the margin doesn’t count for that. HELP! I need to find a place that will allow me to trade around this. I have to be able to get into and out of trades fast. I am making money swing trading options but it’s really hurting me.
You can still day trade 3 times a week
Just open a cash account, on cash accounts you don't have PDT.

Well I was thinking with the cash account I have to wait for my trades to clear instead of having the instant access to my money again to rebuy. Is that the case or do brokers typically cover that? I am using Robin Hood for trading and TD Ameritrade think or swim and multiple websites for info. I am really stressed out because I lose so much money on having to hold stocks overnight plus it is hard to get things to clear
