Guys I'd like to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for writing all those comments on the internet about Italian cars. People here in Australia don't know Alfas, they are very rare, they see them on the road, they like them and then go on to read about them and come across your comments about how unreliable they are! And that keeps used Alfa prices rock bottom! You are offering a great service to the community, you saved me thousands of dollars on my used Alfa, thank you so much and keep up the good work!
Careful, there are MANY trolls on the net writing completely fictitious stories. There's one using multiple ID's (or several who knows) on YT who writes how much he's an Alfa fan but will never buy another because Alfa will not honor it's warranties. I immediately knew the stories were untrue and later saw similar but slightly different versions to make it sound there were many owners experiencing the same thing. When I called him (them) out, I got laughter emoji's and other snide remarks proving the stories are completely bogus.
Love the car and I am pretty sure its going to be reliable. I drove a Giulietta Quadrifoglio Verde for almost 10 years and had no problems with it. Give the car a downpipe, good oil, the best fuel and take it to the service when its needed🍀
I’ve had my 2019 Giulia for nearly 3 years. The car has been perfect, no extra trips to dealer. Lease will be up in February and I am buying this baby. Like an Italian woman, it is beautiful and performs great and she really handles well. I hope to keep it a long time.
@@carbonio28 I have owned plenty of new cars, those that have quality problems show it in the first 3 years. Cars with zero problems in the first 3 years have been reliable and require maintenance and replacement parts based on mileage. I am sorry for you that you have had such bad luck with your cars and your marriage.
@@raya4358 dealer tech here and completely agree. Vehicles that come in often in the first 2-3 years will continue to be trouble down the road. Usually when problems occur 5+ years down the road it is because of lack of maintenance or they are wearable items (Hubs, struts, tie rods, etc.) all things that move and wear over 100k+ miles. It's modules, engine, drivetrain that should be going 200k+ nowadays.
I’ve had a 2017 Giulia veloce for 3 years and a 2018 Stelvio sport Ti for 3 years, Apart from a small problem with Giulia having a relay, there was no problem with either car
I purchased my first Giulia in April 2018. I purchased my second in May 2021. It is the first car I have ever had that I turned around and bought the make/model again. These cars have not been perfect, I have had a couple of glitches where the dealer had to do updates. The first Giulia had right around 60k when I traded it in. The only reason is that I was at the dealership for an oil change and ended up trading when I and saw a blue one with only 16k I had to have. I have used both of them in my job where I was commuting from Peoria, IL to Tennessee and surrounding states where my job territory was at the time. I have never once experienced a mechanical issue that disabled the car. The car was my office, spent hours idling in parking lots in the hot summer with the AC running, stuck in traffic jams, etc.
I don't care if it depreciates, often needs maintenance or what ppl say. If i had the money you would not catch me in any german car. This is a master piece
Are you all kidding folks? You're buying brand new car, ridding it 1,5 year, making 20k miles and doing review about how reliable car is? DO 100k at least, then we can talk....
I won't mention names as I cannot be arsed to get in to a debate. I got a brand new car several years ago and it spent more time in the dealership for the first nine months of ownership for continuous faults and failures than me driving it. The result was a refund because in the end they admitted that they didn't know what was wrong with it and couldn't fix it.
I've owned a wide range of Germans, and way more pricey ones, and my '18 TI Sport is hands down my favorite car I have ever owned. It's a blast and a beauty and enjoy any moment I leave the house. Viva Alfa!
I bought my new 2018 Q4 Ti Sport (Veloce) back in April of that year, so its coming up for 4 years old now. It has been completely reliable and only minor issues such as I needed to "re-calibrate" the sunroof. Had 3 or 4 software updates. Have only 27k miles on but its never let me down. I even parked it for 1 Month at an airport last July and it started up right away! Great 8-speed automatic with paddle shifters so you can select gears at will. Great car and I'm keeping it for a while!
I own a ti sport in Milano blue and I can honestly back you on reliability. These cars are awesome!!! People are missing out on a hidden gem of a car. Folks stop listening to the negative things things that people are saying about these cars and just go test it for yourself. You will be amazed! There is nothing else like it. NOTHING!!!!
I tried a Q4 TI veloce (280hp AWD) and it's amazing how i felt confident in the drive from the beginning. There are new cars that makes this car appear older but i fount it still very beautiful.
I dkn what to think. I go to the forums and read horror stories on these cars. I still want one. My second pick was a Cadillac ATS but that one has similar issues. 😢
Been driving Alfa's for decades. Still driving my third 156 model (JTS 2.0). Ii's now 18 years, no oil use, engine as lively as new, no rust. It still looks as good as the Giulia here. I bought it for 2500 euro's some years ago. My former 156, a 1.8 TS, I also bought second hand, total maintenance cost over exactly 10 years, 3000 Euro!
I bought a brand new Alfa Romeo Giulietta Quadrofolio when I retired in 2016. It has NEVER missed a beat after 30,684 miles to date. 01/22. Serviced every 12 months, no issues just one set of tyres!!!😁😁🇬🇧🇬🇧
best moment i had with my ‘18 Ti Sport, back in early 2019 i was behind a motorcyclist at a red light, he peaked in his side mirrors and did a TRIPLE take to take a look at the car. back then i was pretty sure i was the only one with a Giulia in the area (had the car since early 2018, it almost took 2 years to finally see another one in town), i definitely felt special. people aren’t joking when they say this car breaks necks despite it being a base model. the handling is my 2nd favorite thing about the car for sure, it almost feels like it’s doing a precise nose dive into a turn then eats it up like nothing. drove a friends c300 w/ the amg package and it does not even come close when it comes to handling, almost felt like a regular economy car compared to the Giulia.
@juancabrera7773 Definitely the 2018. Not the first year but also before they piled even more electronics and other stuff in. 2018 is the best most raw year of the Giulia imo
I think that what will people want to be told, and reassured about, is that the Giulia is BETTER and more rewarding than a BMW. It is a better proposition, and is equally reliable, if not better. It also has wayyyy more personality.
have you ever even driven a bmw i can tell you haven’t if you really did you wouldn’t be so one sided no a new car isn’t more reliable then a bmw this car hasn’t been out long enough to really know i test drove one it’s cool but the m340i is just way more exciting faster and reliable good old b58
@@Tm0n3y762 Modern BMW’s have a crappy electronic disconnected driving feel. And the interiors have too much tacky plastic. It’s a car for people who just got money
Own a 2021 QV and it's fantastic. Had 2 main issues which have all been rectified. Electronic throttle control issue under 100 miles of purchased. Fixed in 3 days due to factory related issue. No issue since then, and I'm sitting at 8.4k miles. The other, a coolant wiring issue which caused fans under the hood to stay on when car was in motion. Rectified in a day. I drive this car as a daily and outside of those two issues, the car is perfect. Practical, fun and safe! Next car will be an alfa or step up to a Ferrari. Either way, Alfa brand is on the rise in the US. the dealership network will get stronger! count on it.
Bro I been enthusiastic about Alfa Romeos ever since I went to car shows as a kid and I always loved the old Alfa Romeo spyder ,my dream is to have an old one and a new one I’m working on getting the new one now I am of Macedonian descent everybody always assume I’m Italian so I might as well get the Alfa Romeo
I had a 2017 Q4 from 2018 to 2021. Bought it with 9k original miles. Traded it in at 60k miles (I commute 100 miles a day) because: 1) couldn't fill up the gas tank due to some charcoal filter issue, 2) the steering wheel clicked when turning to one side. The dealer wanted to replace the entire steering column. 3) the radiator was "seeping" fluid, but it was leaking, 4) and a couple other things the dealer found that I had no idea about. Total cost of maintenance was going to be $7000+, so I drove it over to Lexus and got a reliable car.
7000$ for a 100k$ car as maintenance is not expensive 😂 specially the problem you mentioned here. If you can afford a car with an Ferrari engine in it, you should be able to afford the maintenance with it..
@@MrsCap2he said Q4 not QF, so not a 100k$ car, not in the slightest. And 7k$ for maintenance of a relatively new car is a lot. Never experienced this in a Lexus.
I got my 2018 ti July of 2021. I've love the car every single time I get on it. It's a true dream. Thanks for quality content and true testimony of the quality of the Giulias.
Great vid, own a 2020 TI Giulia myself and absolutely love it. Happy you spread the word about Alfa’s, that are not nearly praised as they should be. Just a shame the Giulia will be the only model to showcase the Giorgio platform.
I am driving an 2019 Giulia Veloce Q4 always with a smile on my face! this is the most enjoyable car I've ever driven. I did with the car 50,000 km with absolutly no issues. Before this car I had an 2017 model of the same car. I had some childhood problems as it was a new car, but once it was solved I did 85,000 km with no issues. Before the Giulias I had 2 giulliettas QV . Fun cars not a single issue!
Own 2 Alfa Romeo GT's 1.8 Twin Spark Monza II Edition, and the Busso 3.2 V6. Not a single thing has ever went wrong with them, they are in immaculate condition!! Reliability is NEVER an issue. 🇮🇹🍀🏎️🐍 I will never drive anything else! Alfa Romeo forever!!
My QV has been super reliable, no real issues so far and it’s nearly 5 years old! Totally agree with you about the batteries, I say you take care of the battery and it will take care of you! 👍
@@club.alfagt nope the belt was just inspected and still looks like brand new, I’ll get it inspected next year and see how it looks then. The most expensive thing was one rear shock replaced for $1900 Cdn, but covered under warranty. Besides that just oil changes! It’s a real pleasure driving it!
I had a 2018 Stelvio with battery issues and radiator issues. Alfa cares did not handle it well and the dealer - the only one in our entire large state - refused to change it out. The car was a couple months short of the end of the warranty. I traded it in. Also lots of engine lights coming on periodically. Loved the car, but good luck.
I owned a 2018 for 3 years and loved it. I had absolutely no issues with it other than it ate tires because I rode it hard. It did break a connector in the turbo coolant line but was a simple fix. No issues with my battery.. I want a quadrifoglio but will.have to wait a while.
My 2018 Q4 ate the factory tires in about 20k miles (run-flat Pirellis). I've switched to wider 245-35R19 Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06 Plus tires now and so far so good! The wider tread makes it look cooler and not enough error in speedo to matter!
@@martynh5410 I tried different tires too . I bought a set of Nitto Motivo's non rf but still couldn't get more than 10-12000 out of them especially the back. Can't understand that since it was all wheel drive. It was a lease so I no.longer have it but I do.miss it. One day I hope to snap up.a quadrifoglio.
2018 Quad owner here. Got engine work done at 6.7k miles. The got a new engine at 18k. Because it blew up while accelerating in 3rd gear doing 60 mph. Luckily not much traffic. At 24k new radiator. At every fresh start up to use Apple car play via my iPhone, the phone needs to be reconnected via the usb cable. While driving the headlights will momentarily flicker off and on or turn off then back on. Only notice that at night. All work done was covered and under the warrenty. Would I recommend it? Absolutely yes, as long as you enjoy driving, with bursts of speed and pinpoint accuracy. And have a bumper to bumper warranty. I will sell it or trade it before the warrenty expires. And get a new one.
Suppose that explains why there are so many used ones well under 70k. Seems most owners don't hold on to them past 70k. Sucks for people like me who drive well into 200k range.
Previously owned the Giulia Veloce for 2 years - did 24k miles - and had one issue which was a strange squeak coming from the steering column. Dealer fixed within a few hours and on my way. Now had a Quadrifoglio for 18 months - currently 16k miles - and not a single issue. The only problem I have with the QV is that it's so much fun, only managed 7k miles before having to replace the rears!
I had my Giulia quadrifoglio for three years. Constant problems. Active aero had problems for 12 months. Car was always in the service shop. Final straw was my turning on the rear heated screen one cold morning to find it didn't work. The fix, to remove the loom as the rear screen is hardwired to the fusebox!! I traded the car and walked away. It was beautiful, fast and a real pain in the butt.
I LOVE my Guilia ti Sport. I bought it new, 2021 model. Although I’ve had some bad luck in it (broken rear rim bringing it home!) (broken front bumper from hitting a large Ottoman in the road going 50.) It has been the BEST car I’ve ever driven. Mechanically, no issues whatsoever. By far the most FUN car I have had. Would highly recommend it. I have owned it since August 11 2021. At age 60, not my first rodeo. I get lots of notice and on occasion an impromptu race pops up. I hit Dynamic mode and beat them all. Easily beat a Challenger the other day without Dynamic on. I love, love, love my Guilia.
I've put away a variety of M3s and other souped up, boosted things in my "lowly" 2017 Q4 in N mode. They do fine in a straight line, but once there's TURNS, I'd look behind me and theyd be nowhere. Also 60 years old, and loving it :), no issues whatsoever, might trade for a QV or 4C next year.
@@LuisSoto-ho5fwYou and your 280hp are not touching any M’s, let alone 340i’s & 440i’s lol. Those things are much faster. In the bends the M cars would destroy this 4 banger.
@@NS416 Oh, but that has happened way too many times, in my experience. I guess I haven't encountered many competent drivers. I myself am no driving god, but I've seen too many of those M drivers go clueless the minute there's a bend. Interesting point of view, yours, though.
I'm glad that you've done a reliability video on the guilia. I too own one of these fantastic gem 💎 of a car and this is the best thing to a FERRARI. LIKE FERRIS BUELLER SAYS, "IF YOU HAVE THE MEANS, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU PICK ONE UP."
Great video. I own the Motor Trend Misano Blue Ti that they had in their fleet back in 2018. I just hit the 50,000 mile mark and the car has been flawless. The only three issues I had were the same starter relay problem, which I replaced with a brand new relay, my rear defroster doesn't seem to work, and the auto start/stop never kicks in. I never really spent any time diagnosing those issues because they don't really bother me. All I care about is I've had the car for 2 years and I didn't have to put a dime into repairs.
@@club.alfagt I honestly didn't even check to see if the fuse was bad. The light in the climate control cluster illuminates, but no heat comes off the window.
You claim your car has been flawless but you describe problems with it.... Why would you have to pay for repairs on a two year old car that is presumably still under warranty?
@@williamegler8771 It has been flawless. Changing a fuse is as simple as changing a light bulb and it didn't cost anything. I'm not going to classify that as a mechanical fault. Fuses have a service life. They burn out.
@@EOtekk The rear screen heater and stop/start not activating, is an early sign that the battery is getting weak, (by design, to save remaining charge) so is a very early sign that you’ll need to replace the battery some time soon.
I love my giulia, even drove it around the entire Unites States, very reliable and very good on fuel believe it or not, hands down the best car I have ever owned, driven, and one of the best looking cars out there as well! the Italian beauty!
Just one last thing....we are both currently enjoying the GIORGIO platform...this was SERGIO MARCHIONNEs masterpiece...it will never be replicated by the FRENCH in their wildest dreams...therefore WE ARE DRIVING HISTORY! Merry Christmas!
I am italian and a car enthusiast. And I'm really happy reading all these comments about you guys buying Alfa cars and enjoying them. Alfa romeo was and still is not very notorious in foreign country but I think Giulia and Stelvio are catching up a little bit. And I own a Stelvio Ti and I love it.
Always loved Alfas and after visiting Italy (including Milan) I love them even more as they seem to connect me to the places and great people I was lucky enough to visit - beauty, passion, pride and FUN. Currently own a Rosso Competizione Ti Sport (Veloce). Might trade for a QV or 4C next year.
Very reliable. Got 53k on my 2017 Giulia and no issues. I had a faulty sensor fixed under warranty and was given a loaner Stelvio while part came in. Other than that, do the scheduled maintenance. My base model is low cost brakes, tires, oil change.
@@janoskovacs11 - largest was the 40k mile, 1500 at the dealership. I did mine at Eurofed for 900 plus rear brakes and a few gaskets. Went back to dealership later to have warranty work done at 0 cost.
I found your video whilst doing my research on the Giulia and I cannot believe how well spec’d your Alfa’s are for the price in the USA. 💯Everything your saying is so on point.. !!!!! I own a 2019 and I'm loving the Alfa Romeo Giulia ..... Was thinking of going over to the S AMG 63 but having a hard time parting with the way this car performs !!! Seriously !!! She is no joke meaning the Alfa... I now have 44900 miles on my Giulia, and to this day and have never even had a brake change and I do drive hard. But I do know how to drive. Much love for this post my brother. Hope this help anyone on the fence of buying one..
Love to hear stuff like this man! Glad to hear it!!! 🔥🔥🔥👏👏🙏 The amg is nice don’t get me wrong. Sounds good and it’s fast but it’s not quite an Alfa. I live in Germany near Mercedes headquarters so AMG are everywhere. They all stare at me and give me a thumbs up
I love your car! Recall Alfas from mid to late 60's living in present day Croatia. Italians used to come over to do road racing on public roads - roads were open to other traffic at the same time - recall the sound their engine made...was wonderful. Local pharmacist had a four door Giulia...he was a cool dude, drove it with full brio!
I purchased my 2019 Giulia new nearly 5 years ago. It has been fun, beautiful and perfectly reliable. It's my first Alfa and I plan to keep it for a long time. I am now looking for a 5 year warranty extension.
One of my friends had the fuel pumps go out at ~35k miles. Car would shut itself off after a couple hours of driving and pull itself over on the side of the road. You had to wait like 30 minutes before it would start again.
The earlier cars with the 2.0T are all the same engine (they did make some changes further down the line) - but the super (etc) can be mapped to 280bhp as per the Veloce, very easily. I had a 2019 and had ZERO issues with it. It was super fun to drive, felt fairly well built, had supremely comfortable ride quality (did get a bit squirelly when pressed hard in corners), etc. I gave it back once the lease ran out and moved onto a G30 530D, which was very good as well, but didn't feel so much fun as the Giulia.
Great car four years no problem just bliss and great times. Don’t know where the unreliability rumours came from, service has always been honest and a great experience Foglio - G is silent.
Rumours???? LOL. Alfa the BEST driving cars in the world!! But the reliability is ZERO!! I will never own another Alfa QV ever again. alfa replaced many many motors not once but sometimes twice in the 4 years warranty on the V6 motors. good luck keeping it pass warranty. the only thing reliable on alfa is the transmission!! other than that is junk.
good thing i ran into your video before purchasing my first car i was in love with the alfa romeo i literally used to watch videos of this car all day but i was told its not reliable i love the car i have now but i still want to join the family i pray im able to get one soon , you earned a subscriber bro .
Good review, i own a Giulia Quad since 2019, has been nothing but perfect. y brother also owns the Ti and his has also been trublefree for now almost 4 years.
Dude, best review evah!! That seals it thank you and great driving! Wonderful and helpful information all around. Especially, your reliability experience.
this car was developed by the engineer Philippe Krief that did the ferrari 458. (the carbon prop shaft that is in the gta is used throughout the range) This 2litre turbo is also used in the maserati hybrid cars at the moment. Many people dont know, Enzo Ferrari used to work for alfa romeo for a long time before starting his own brand.
Thank you for this vid ! I just bought an alfa romeo guilia ti sport back in September and I absolutely love the car. I been hearing the unreliability rumors, but I wanted this car since I was 16 & I grinded my way up to getting it. I told myself once i touch a good amount of $ thats the car im getting. Im 21 now, doing well and am absolutely blessed to have this car. Great video btw and love your car !
Owned many Alfas(Alfetta/Giulietta, 33, 75/Milano 155, 916GTV and 156) and usually only bad maintenance caused unreliability, and no excessive maintenance ever needed. Enjoy your Giulias. Only good thing about the bad rep is low second hand prices
Good info sir. I'm a longtime Honda/Acura buyer and I'm guilty of some of the biases against Euro makes, especially non-German makes. That said, the Giulia has really grown on me and I'm considering trading my 16 Accord V6 Touring for a '24 Ti. I'm likely going to test drive it next week and I'm interested in seeing how it performs compared with my TLX A-Spec (w/stage 3 tune). I definitely agree that it's one of the most content rich packages in the segment, and great value for the money. Though ours will be under warranty, I just hope its reasonably reliable. Thank you for this review, very much appreciated.
Listen folks, Alfa Romeos are awesome, and have a better reliability issues than BMW Audi and M-Benz. All cars have problems. I've owned Alfas for many years and getting ready to buy a new QV Guilia. Nice video.
I love the video, you covered everything in detail and the fact that you track the car? You already have my respect and I know you know what you're talking about. I love how european cars are getting more reliable! I always loved how a lot of them looked especially for the Giulia. They're also super affordable for amazing performance. Was thinking of a Q50 but their turbos are very unreliable. It's honestly funny how a Japanese car is more unreliable than an Italian car nowadays. Pretty crazy
I bought a brand new 2019 Guilia Ti sport and I absolutely loved it until about 15,000 miles. It was in the shop for over two months off and on for issues that they couldn’t seem to figure out. I experienced the battery issue within six months I had in the car and they replaced it with a Maserati battery because they said six months to get a new alpha Romeo battery! at 12,000 miles I started smelling antifreeze and I noticed a pinhole in the radiator and within a week it was gushing all over the engine. I took it in to service as I was about to go on a trip and they were very nice about it however they had to give me a radiator they had waiting for another customer because I was so upset that I just been in three times already in the past 2 months. The other issues I was having was that it took me 20 minutes to fill up the gas tank every time because the pump would just click off and I would have to baby it to get the rank full. Embarrassing to say the least. Finally after a code came up after two years of this in the car because they could never figure it out and they eventually replaced some part in the fuel system to make it stop doing it but at that point i already had so many computer issues as well I was done with the car. Was the most fun I’ve had in a car in a very long time on the twistiest of roads as far as handling and looks go it was unmatched. I’ve had 33 cars in my lifetime and none that were that beautiful. It is my daily driver so it has to be reliable. Again it was a great car up until 15,000 miles. Was definitely worth the experience but I would buy a used one to let somebody else get all the quirks out of it first and make sure it’s under warranty. Replaced the Alfa with a total opposite car which is a 2020 mustang GT, Oddly enough the insurance dropped when I bought the GT? Well worth the experience of owning the Alfa though. Just know what you are getting into. This will be my 6 th Gt but there will only be one Alfa.
The GT is just a different car all together obviously and it has been very enjoyable since I am 6ft 2 and the caddy is a little small for me on dimensions. Of course the back seat of the GT is useless but the trunk is plentiful. Wish I could afford a high end import and American muscle at the same time but until then I guess just flip flop every couple of years and appreciate each for what they bring to the table.
Great video, got a Guilia Speciale - couple of issues so far after 14 months (new rear brake discs/pads as well as 2 new headlights) - both fixed under warranty. Love driving it, special car.
I've owned the same car, except for the colors (Montecarlo Blue/Tan) and mine is a 2019. It has been an absolute dream to own. I've had two M3s, two GTIs a Volvo S60R, a Pontiac G8 GT and a SAAB 9-3 Turbo, to name a few more recent cars, and the Giulia Q4 is hands down the best. I lowered mine also, as the Q4s sit a bit higher than I like. Still rides smooth and corners hard. It has to be a daily driver and I live in the snow belt, and in spite of the way it looks, it's never let me down in the snow, ice, rain, etc.. I still adore the car like the day I bought it. Now at 32K miles. So much so, that I purchased it off-lease. I've never done that with another car, so that should say it all!
Audi has already ditched the dual clutch for their S/RS models some time ago, since 2018. Porsche still uses the PDK but that transmission is gold. Main reason why dual clutch is being replaced is because the ZF offers comparable performance (not the same) with better fuel efficiency and comfort.
I will say I have a Giulia TI and I’ve had numerous issues. Bought used with 12k miles on it. I’m at 36k now. I’ve had the AC, fuel pump go out. My sunroof latch/ track broke. I currently have an issue with the oil in the vehicle. Read 3/4 on the electronic meter ( don’t get me started on how dumb this is ) the day before it read oil change required and was on red. No leak that I saw. It’s sad because it truly drives great, feels great. But the issues so far, which have been covered by the warranty, are a problematic and annoying.
Glad to see a review of the Q4, I've seen a lot for the QV but to me it is irrelevant: I want one of the most beautiful car ever but I don't need all the high-end performance and AWD is a no-brainer for where I live. Thank you!
Car looks sharp. I enjoyed the video! I have a 2018 tI SPORT as well, 45k no major issues and still love it. Does your car have the factory carbon package? The side skirts look so nice. Was wondering if they were part of the carbon package or they have been added aftermaket?
CNN - JD Power’s Initial Quality report, released last week, contained a huge surprise. The top-quality luxury brand wasn’t frequent winner Lexus, a brand famous for ranking at the top of such surveys. This time it was Alfa Romeo, an Italian car with a reputation for excitement - but not necessarily trouble-free ownership.
The most recent “major” issue was cracking disk brake rotors. It was literally one box that was dropped in the factory and only affected nine cars. Alfas are indeed higher maintenance, but honestly not more so than the Germans. If you want a no-maintenance car, get a Toyota.

Awesome review of the Giulia! You really hit all the points of why I think I'll never want to Not have a Giukia again lol. Glad to see you enjoying the TI Sport to the fullest, I have a QV now and I still miss the TI in some ways
@@club.alfagt well, I miss the sunroof which really made the interior feel bigger, but I know that the carbon fiber roof gives you less weight and more headroom in the QV. I also miss having the AWD for the snowy weather we get, it handled snow really well, even on the OEM tires. Also. It got a little less attention, now everyone wants to race me all the time 😆. Also for some reason my 2017 QV doesn't have cupholders in the back, or folding seats( which I know they added later). I need to do a review of it!
@Youngniggafromdahood Its not always open, and I'm not sure how you assumed that I'd ever do a pull with the sunroof open, expecting it not to slow me down. Sunroofs were never about performance anyway
I have a 2018 Giulia Velocé since its birth. I drive her every day and never been happier. Had the coupe fans stop working and they fixed it with no charge, they lend me a free car while it was in the shop and they filled my car full of gas before returning it to me. It's been really great & fun owning an Alfa Romeo. I swear I was not paid to say this 🤣
I would like to make a minor correction. The GME T4 2.0 engine is not forged. It uses cast rods, and cast pistons. This doesn't make the engine weak by any means, there are plenty of people on 32lbs of boost with no issues and a few with hybrid turbos.
@@club.alfagt The publication is incorrect. The community has disassembled the engine and have pictures of the rods and Pistons, there are also disassembled engines on eBay that clearly show cast rods, and cast pistons as well. They are definitely cast parts, and definitely a whoops on Alfa's marketing department. There was a long debate on the Alfa Romeo Giulia fourm because of the false advertising material. We came to the conclusion that they must have accidentally mistook the engine specs for the QV. Tldr: The GME T4 engine uses cast rods, cast pistons, SOHC, and 4 bolt mains.
@@Tekgnome. the “community” doesn’t outweigh or override FCA Alfa Romeo But not all decisions/opinions need to be fought/won here in the comments The jury is still out on how/why Alfa Romeo would falsely advertise for 6 years in a row Nonetheless, these are very strong 4cyl turbo engines worthy of praise and ready for modification
The GMET4 is definitely cast and not forged, how are you still mindlessly following the MARKETING material? I’ve literally seen one in person and definitely not forged. It’s literally the same engine as the units in the base Jeep models now….same stellantis parts sharing. The chassis is the only good part of your non-QV car. The engine is absolutely not a gem, 32 PSI is 30 year old Mitsubishi 4G63 territory.
Plenty on car gurus well under $30k even In today's market. Also low miles but by alpha standards I guess it's high milage.. I dkn.. I really want one but have to wonder why such a great car gets dumped with such low miles.
These cars are really reliable so long as you keep it connected to a battery tender whenever possible, dont mind having the radiator replaced on a new car, and changing out fuses under a wheel well 😂🤣😂
If thinking about buying one, do it, the quadrifoglio motor is been projected by ferrari, and its got almost the same ferrari california motor, its the perfect choice
I honestly thought this was a rich person's luxury car. It wasn't until I recently googled the cost did I realize it's totally reasonably priced! Now I can't stop looking at them... Definitely looking at getting one now
I'd rather take the Stinger or G70 because they also come with better warranty and low cost of maintenance. I think they are both also slightly bigger with the interior space(rear legroom). This is a neat looking car though.
Interesting to see how it holds up beyond warranty. Im seriously considering one for my next car. How is the 0-60 accelarstion 4.5 secs but car and driver shows about 5.5 secs?
yeah I think that the reliability issues are mainly on the older models. My mom had a 156 and you would just wake up to the brakes being jammed or the head gasket being blown etc.

@@sylenzyostampa bmw is literally the most reliable car in Germany except Mercedes . Also alfro Romeo is literally number 1 In least reliable German car. You do know this yes.. that's means a fiat is more reliable and that's just sad

Today I purchased my 2019 Giulia that I had been leasing for 3 years. Most enjoyable car of my life and it has been perfect in terms of quality and reliability.I have owned all types of American cars, Japanese cars, and my other car is a Porsche. My Alfa is right at the top of my list.
Love to hear it!! Which model Giulia? And which model Porsche!?
@@club.alfagt My Giulia is the base model. It is well equipped and is faster than I will ever drive. My Porsche is a 944 that I bought new in 1987. It is still in showroom condition.Like my Alfa, it has only been washed by hand by me. I hope to own the Alfa for many years, but I won’t be able to own it as long as the Porsche. LOL!

The battery issue you spoke on is exactly the way you called it had that as the only issue ever on mines and it was a very easy fix. I now have 44900 miles on my Giulia, and to this day and have never even had a brake change and I do drive hard. But I do know how to drive. Much love for this post my brother. Hope this help anyone on the fence of buying one..
Love to hear stuff like this man! Glad to hear it!!! 🔥🔥🔥👏👏🙏
The amg is nice don’t get me wrong. Sounds good and it’s fast but it’s not quite an Alfa.
I live in Germany near Mercedes headquarters so AMG are everywhere. They all stare at me and give me a thumbs up
I absolutely love my Alfa. Best daily driver hands down
Absolutely agree. It’s an experience just driving to the grocery store
Thank you! Sounds like a crazy and very very fun time haha
I had the 18 Giulia QV, and have a 19 Stelvio QV. Never a problem with either.
Don’t know where the unreliability rumours came from, service has always been honest and a great experience
Foglio - G is silent.
Thanks and glad to hear it! Merry Christmas!!
Thats great to know, i got my alfa romeo ti sport in September and I love the car ! Even though i heard the bs rumors I still got it.
Rumours????

Wow that’s awesome, glad to hear it!! Happy holidays friend!
I own a 280 lusso 2019. Change the electric relay, no other issues. This car is really underrated!
Dude, best review evah!! That seals it thank you and great driving! Wonderful and helpful information all around. Especially, your reliability experience.
Hey wish you the best! You’ll love it!
this car was developed by the engineer Philippe Krief that did the ferrari 458. (the carbon prop shaft that is in the gta is used throughout the range)
This 2litre turbo is also used in the maserati hybrid cars at the moment.
Many people dont know, Enzo Ferrari used to work for alfa romeo for a long time before starting his own brand.
That’s right! Lots of good information here

Thanks man!!! Glad to hear you have joined the team! It’s an awesome vehicle, congrats!
Same brotha. Everyone looks shocked I'm driving this car at 24. I tell them I grind and save my cash. Homeowner and nice car by 24. Always work hard.
@@mikewhite1215 update bro I’m 24 and thinking of buying this car
@@club.alfagt update?
I have a 2018. 15800 miles … runs like a race car 🏎! 👍🏻
Is there anyone who drove it past 200k km? If it doesn't break below 100k, it just means it's not an utter garbage.
Yeh man thanks! Giulia over Q50 all day man not even close comparison, looks handling and presence go to the Giulia man
Hope you grab one!
I has a QF for 18 months - no problem except hitting barrier lightly on track day - a beauty
Sad story, but glad you enjoyed it!!
Would you have considered the Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing if it had been available? Seems like a closer fit than a Mustang GT.
Mustang GT? No comparison.
Have a Giulia Quadrifoglio for 4y. Never failed the planned maintenance. Never had an issue.
Great video, got a Guilia Speciale - couple of issues so far after 14 months (new rear brake discs/pads as well as 2 new headlights) - both fixed under warranty. Love driving it, special car.
Awesome!!
Awesome story 🔥🔥💯
Does the cold tempeture affect the battery?
@@xiaolingsu5236 No
Pretty dramatic story for a car review channel
@@xiaolingsu5236 Yeah everything effect those cars and electrical problems are very difficult to fix only real deal mechanical can fix those issues
Yes it is reliable. It s a great timeless well built car.
Thank you!
Anytime! It truly is a great car
Car looks sharp. I enjoyed the video! I have a 2018 tI SPORT as well, 45k no major issues and still love it. Does your car have the factory carbon package? The side skirts look so nice. Was wondering if they were part of the carbon package or they have been added aftermaket?

JD Power’s Initial Quality report, released last week, contained a huge surprise. The top-quality luxury brand wasn’t frequent winner Lexus, a brand famous for ranking at the top of such surveys. This time it was Alfa Romeo, an Italian car with a reputation for excitement - but not necessarily trouble-free ownership.
Gotta love it!
The most recent “major” issue was cracking disk brake rotors. It was literally one box that was dropped in the factory and only affected nine cars.
Alfas are indeed higher maintenance, but honestly not more so than the Germans. If you want a no-maintenance car, get a Toyota.

What do you miss about the Ti?
@@club.alfagt well, I miss the sunroof which really made the interior feel bigger, but I know that the carbon fiber roof gives you less weight and more headroom in the QV. I also miss having the AWD for the snowy weather we get, it handled snow really well, even on the OEM tires.
Also. It got a little less attention, now everyone wants to race me all the time 😆.

Considering Jeep is using this 4 turbo in the wrangler now and people love that I'd say it's pretty good.
I would like to make a minor correction.
The GME T4 2.0 engine is not forged. It uses cast rods, and cast pistons.
This doesn't make the engine weak by any means, there are plenty of people on 32lbs of boost with no issues and a few with hybrid turbos.
Right. Which I’ve heard. But I go based on what FCA and Alfa Romeo publish which is forged pistons and crank
Tldr:
The GME T4 engine uses cast rods, cast pistons, SOHC, and 4 bolt mains.
@@Tekgnome. the “community” doesn’t outweigh or override FCA Alfa Romeo
But not all decisions/opinions need to be fought/won here in the comments
The jury is still out on how/why Alfa Romeo would falsely advertise for 6 years in a row
Nonetheless, these are very strong 4cyl turbo engines worthy of praise and ready for modification

I dkn.. I really want one but have to wonder why such a great car gets dumped with such low miles.
not a fan of Alfa's but that styling and the trim in it has changed my mind, nice car my friend

Same here haha
I've had mine for a year and half used with no issues at all.

I'd rather take the Stinger or G70 because they also come with better warranty and low cost of maintenance. I think they are both also slightly bigger with the interior space(rear legroom). This is a neat looking car though.
Awesome!
Enjoyed your video! It is a pleasure to drive my Alfa Romeo Giulia Q4!!! It is so much fun!!!
Glad you are enjoying your Alfa! Kudos!
Interesting to see how it holds up beyond warranty. Im seriously considering one for my next car. How is the 0-60 accelarstion 4.5 secs but car and driver shows about 5.5 secs?
Car is underrated by magazine reviewers. May have been tires or weather or drivers
Car is 4.9-.8 0-60 stock
Mine is 4.2 0-60 fastest I’ve gone
Mine can beat anything on the road. Winter or summer tires. (Good ones, of course.)
yeah I think that the reliability issues are mainly on the older models. My mom had a 156 and you would just wake up to the brakes being jammed or the head gasket being blown etc.
