in multiplayer, almost all speed runs are changed into impossible levels for many reasons: 1. the timer keeps going while one player is in a pipe or door. 2. the stage will not reset when a player enters a door or pipe if another player is in that area. 3. If a block affected by gravity (like a sideways spring or POW block) is placed just above a pipe, it will fall and block the pipe due to the game having to constantly run when displayed on anyone's screen, even while coming out of a pipe, therefore sending you back.
3:25 - Does that mean that with each new update we download all versions at the same time? Since... well, the latest version has to know what was possible in all proceeding versions.
There is actually ONE more thing that got patched globally. In 1.0, the Super Ball powerup could only trigger a P-switch if it hit the top of the switch. Sometime later, Nintendo changed it so it could be activated from the side as well. This means you can create a setup where you have to throw a Super Ball in between 2 towers of P-switches to kill an enemy and get a key to the next area. If you trigger the P-switch, the floor drops out and Mario dies. Once you update the game, it will be 100% impossible to get the key without triggering one of the P-switches.
You can proobably edit the version level of the file. I started on an editor for PC and there were a few exploits I was curious about if they're possible. (Like marking the level as beaten already)
“I’m desperate to make a level that breaks the trust guarantee that all levels uploaded can be completed” “Nintendo cut this behavior I, a dedicated fan, wish to use to for said breaking. They’re removing features!”
Kingdom Hearts Fan2005 That’s VERY easy to do. Just fill the screen with blocks so that there is only one possible path to the flagpole, and then have blocks on tracks push Mario down that path.
Sure you can. Look at something like this: imgur.com/a/yoYp9iF No way to jump out of the way to dodge the springs, no way to wait out the timer. You'd have to let the springs push you onto the note block, which bounces you to the flagpole.

in multiplayer, almost all speed runs are changed into impossible levels for many reasons:
1. the timer keeps going while one player is in a pipe or door.
2. the stage will not reset when a player enters a door or pipe if another player is in that area.
6:17 you can buy a new switch and then every time you want do downgrade the game you delete te new switch and you don't need to buy 5 switches
Only an additional switch lite
(Like marking the level as beaten already)
,,Nintendo Really did Their Homework"
Ceave is a teacher confirmed
The fact that people are getting upset over the fact that it's harder to create levels to ruin players experience in the game is very sad to me
Lol Nintendo be like: "we've designed it so impossible levels can no longer be made"
Then Ceave come in like "Challenge accepted, yo"
Then icay comes in
Ceave: I built an impossible level!
Also Ceave: Why do I hear Icay music?
“I’m desperate to make a level that breaks the trust guarantee that all levels uploaded can be completed” “Nintendo cut this behavior I, a dedicated fan, wish to use to for said breaking. They’re removing features!”
7:42 I thought Ceave is just a guy with a weird accent
But instead, he is Austrian.
Weird.
Im pretty sure that is Latvia's flag
@@elliottwood8977 idk they look kinda similar
nvm it is Austria
Huh.
Never would have known if it wasn’t for this.
His leanguage is set on germen
7:05 I love how he’s dodging the coins
yr
J Lee shiny yet deadly
old habits die hard
Have I told you how much I love your voice?
Now what about a level that’s impossible to lose in either game?
Kingdom Hearts Fan2005 That’s VERY easy to do. Just fill the screen with blocks so that there is only one possible path to the flagpole, and then have blocks on tracks push Mario down that path.
@@GoldenSandslash15 that's not IMPOSSIBLE to lose
Sure you can. Look at something like this: imgur.com/a/yoYp9iF
No way to jump out of the way to dodge the springs, no way to wait out the timer. You'd have to let the springs push you onto the note block, which bounces you to the flagpole.
This level is easy, all you have to do is bring your own switch back to version 1.0.
No, as soon as you go online it will force you to update. You can't access the levels without being online.
R. M. Tosh if you factory reset then the update will be optional so it would be ok
You still dont have access to online mode you only have that in the most recent versions
