7:45 라떼 is more of a hyper correction than an incorrect spelling. I think Koreans wanted to sound more like the original Italian word even though it probably came through the English bastardization where we shortened “caffè latte” to just latte.

How does the -게도 ending as in 아쉽게도 work? Is it similar to -아/어/여도?
Also, thank you so much Billy for this course. ❤ I've been studying korean for about three years now but I still sound like a textbook 😅 It's also still hard for me to understand non standard korean and the course helps with that too.

I couldn’t concentrate on the second half of this video because I became too full of anger at the whole calling cake “bread” thing.

Hey Billy, just subscribed. I am from NY and started dating a Korean girl 7 months ago, who goes to school here. I got the year subscription of lingodeer and am 1 lesson away from finishing the whole course. My question for you is, with your material and others alike on UA-cam, as well as the time I spend with my girlfriend 2-3 days a week, how long do you think it should take me on average to be fluent on a basic level?
    Thanks!

This kind of question gets asked all the time and it depends on so many variables, there is no way to give you an answer. My wild guess is 6 months if you study at least 1 hour every day.

How come every native Korean speaker I've heard pronounces 카페 as '까페'?
