I watched the other interview on TP and T asked for forgiveness. Teuila you are an amazing woman who represents the true meaning of a classy woman. This video hasn't damaged your rep, even in a cultural sense. If anything it shows the realities of how harmful our culture remains as a collective, Unfortunately at your cost and families you've been a voice for Polynesian women to take ownership of their sexuality rather than to be shunned. I am proud of you, you're a real inspiration to our Polynesian women...Thank you for always being true to who you are and respecting and loving those who you love the most. That's all that matters. Didnt care for this story when it was all over the news, like seriously??? Who cares! FOR REAL! - BUT I love her attitude to it and that she decided to address it for her own reasons. I do cringe though when I hear that term "Bring shame to the family" it shocks me cause I think is that still a 'thing'? like people still adhere to this fake ideal that we must always present the perfect image for the benefit of others. She handled it beautifully. I was watching another video of teuila with a reporter talking about her experience, it must be this same video just a different part, but anyway I cringed at the way the reporter responded to her comments. I rewatched it a few times and came back to this video and I realized that it wasn't an opera interview. She didn't dwell on the hurt. She acknowledged it and quickly moved on. At first I didn't understand, I was upset and annoyed initially, but then at the end she mentions the keyboard warriors and I understood. You don't give them fuel.
Hi there girl wow I think you don't need to justify your self of what you have done or your actions, you are human every should know better they do things like that. But never the less come on now we all need to look at our own back yard before we judge her. I'm a proud poly women nd I love her because she is right. She knows what she's done wrong and we as a whole poly community need to support her and understand, this is how I feel. Good on you Teuila, I think you managed the public opinion very gracefully and are conscious about your image and sexual orientation. We don't hear pacific women often come out and make these sorts of statements. I am saddened that the conservative islanders are using religious doctrines against you to make you feel like the inferior and even worse intimidate your family. Keep following those dreams girl and irrespective of what people think you are a beautiful woman and human being. All these trash talkers are just haters and are probably just jealous 'cos your HOT lol.

Man its a case of racism, when one person in the public eye doing well, then they have to bring that person down somehow. You are Samoan and brown that has made it even more appealing to make islanders look bad. Media trying to bring islanders down. They always do it with crimewatch programs, news etc.... Its your life and its up to you how you row your boat. Everyone needs to MYOB! Pacific peoples need to support our people and encourage our people to be better. When we see stuff like this we need to support our people. We need more people in acting and making it big in thierr careers. We have taken this one incident and cast aside that Teuila is a good role model of making it and doing well in acting, talk shows, being beautiful for her age and for Pacific women... what happened was beyond her control. This shouldn't of become a big deal.
