Very clean work, and by the book with 6" subbase and joint cuts...you make it look easy. I bet having that horizontal saw cut saved you a lot of work... great job!
I do a lot of those replacements they make us put 6-5ft 3/4 bar in the wings fanned out. Other than that no mesh or any other rebar. I have to say that is hella good quality for what it is man. Great job!
Eso esta muy bien hecho. Siempre es fundamental compactar bien el terreno es la base de todo. y se hace como en este video con estabilizado y una buena compactadora. El hormigón siente que le falta árido grueso, lo veo muy liquido. buen video, saludos

I loved this video! I have plans to only reconstruct only the entry of my driveway by extending the entrance by a a few feet and fix the awful dip upon entry that makes cars scrape underneath. I know I need permits from my city (south side of San Diego). I saw the document for permits, but it is kind of overwhelming. Do construction companies generally take care of everything? Or do we need to get permits first, then seek a company? Thanks
What is the quote price for a job exactly like this to complete for the driveway approach section? My driveway approach is really deep and steep that our cars scrape and really need to angle our cars to try to not scrape but it's very hard not to. Would like to know how much you charge for this exact work, thank you! I know everyone needs to see the location to do an estimate, but I'd like to know roughly what a task like this would range from.
@@WestCoastCustomConcrete REALLY? I live in Washington and I talk to a couple contractors and they charge me between $2300 to $3000 for a driveway approach 46 feet long including the wings. they will remove the old sidewalk, cut the curbing and pour new concrete. And $2500 to $3300 for 650 square feet driveway. and they have to remove about one foot of dirt. AND I STILL THINK ITS EXPENSIVE
Isn't that kind of stupid not to put rebar in. That's why. Those city stuff doesn't last up here in Minnesota they have to otherwise it won't last a year
why not redo the curb too? I would think that fancy curb cutting machine would cost more to rent than just demo and redo the curb. and that curb was old and have cracks, not in prestine condition.
Not sure how much that would cost in California but here in Washington it would cost about $300 to $400. But in California everything is fucking expensive like if they are doing something our of this world and they will try to charge you $1500 for that cut.
I’m in California, I hired a big company a few days ago to do a driveway for my home , there is no driveway there at all so I’m sure the city has to approve it first but I just don’t see how this company I hired made me a contract without knowing first is the city will even allow a driveway and they also told me that the city is the one that actually does the curve themselves with their own materials. That’s to me made no sense

I would have the contractor pull the permit. It's a total hassel.
I see you usng wheel machine instead of track, most guys swear by track machine, what's your opinion on it?
Thanks for watching kenny. My opinion is if you can run a skid steer there is no reason for tracks.
Man that’s crazy the size you pick with your case

In 35 years I've never seen a curb cutting Machine like that .We end up busting out the old curb and cutting the blacktop. That's a huge time saver.
Hey bro. Its called a horizontal saw. They cut it for $600 if you can believe that
