Great job! I especially like the multiple compactions. I am a homeowner dealing with a sinking roadway due to inadequate compaction so that really hit home with me. Its great to see someone that obviously cares about their work.
We take every step to make sure we not only meet but exceed the industry standard. We also recommend that customers never use deicing chemicals, apply penetrating sealers, and caulk joints. Usually all this adds up to a slab that should last a few decades.
Thank you for your comment and support. It's surprising how very little people know the difference between both compactors. Sometimes I see people just run 1 or the other. I'm glad you enjoyed the video of it running. God knows my arms remember everytime I run it.
Question…could the homeowner have gone straight to the road or did it have to curve into the other approach? You guys do such a thorough job. It was so impressive to see something done correctly. Bravo!
@@GRUBB-MUDD I have seen a 1/4 yard attachment for the bobcat that I want for when we are working with steps. It's like a bucket with a tiny chute that come out the bottom. I think it can handle it. It's tipping load is around 2400. So it should handle it.
Is the curve near the road a requirement or preference? That grass is going to have a hard time growing when you drive over it a few hundred times. Nice work, very clean.
Look up a Stihl Ts500i with a diamond blade. And I just go an extra 3/8 of an inch near edges and at points that joints can cross and if it's a long enough joint (+20 feet) I will touch it a few times also. It just makes sure that it cracks where I want it to.
hey i think the last shot of the broom finish looks like hell and all the rocks and material pulled... shouldve pulled all the pins and brushed it again the opposite way wouldve looked beautiful. last i saw in the video looked horrible.... did you leave it like that?
Correct it was rough. We hit it again and rebroomed after that shot. Then I left and forgot to reshoot the footage. Good eye catching that. Thanks for your comment and support.
Never, that would leave the surface mottled.we recommend regular watering for the first 7 days then We recommend a penetrating sealer 5 weeks after the pour.
I hate clay. Especially when it gets freezing cold. Stuff is harder than concrete. And you can't tell if there are voids that will be an issue when it thaws.
That is a good question. And I have met people who run concrete pours who don't know how to finish. But the men in these videos respect me because they all agree I am the most proficient finisher there. And I am willing to pay someone to take my place so I can keep my distance and quality control everything. I can't finish everything by myself so atleast I can make sure everyone else is doing everything as perfect as possible. I used to finish a lot and still help friends and family pour jobs. But on my projects when it comes to the pours I run the buggy or supervise and coordinate. But if it starts to set up fast i can and will step in to make sure it comes out great.
