  • In this video I will be swapping my factory Radius arms for some aftermarket arms.
The point of the video is to show you that it can be done on your own driveway if you really need to!

You should have taken 1 bolt out of the other side to let the diff twist.

Trevor Ward, Good advice. If I have to do this again, I will keep it in mind.

Well done. I was wondering whether the arms were fighting against each other but no amount of shouting at the screen helped. Your outro frightened the brown stuff out of the family though. I'd been gradually turning up the volume....... then BANG!!!! lol

      Ha Ha. Sorry about that.
I really must get a mic sorted out.

Good vid mate. Are you running around without anti roll bar? Just replaced the links on the rear of mine, but I can't help wondering what a Patrol handles like without. Used to remove ARB's on my Samurai's but those were on leafs not coils...

      Thanks. 😊
Yeah, I have removed the Anti Roll Bars back and front. I did it when I upgraded to the Pedders suspension... It still feels stiffer that the factory suspension with the ARB’s connected.

Are these radius arms an alternative to using drop boxes with the original arms? What size lift did you say you had? Are they suitable for one particular size lift or a range of lift sizes? Im wondering if they'd be better than drop boxes.

They are an alternative to drop boxes.
Another option is to use cam bushes in your original arms.
I went with these as I have a 4” lift. Cams only good for 2” lift... These arms are good up to 6”.

@@JTactical i thought so,i didnt know these were an option when i installed a 3 inch with drop boxes,im thinking these may handle better than a drob box set up and also dont you have the drop boxes hanging down where they can catch on things when off road

How soft are the front orange bushings. Are they hard or silicone-like?

    • @JTactical
      @JTactical  4 роки тому

      They are pretty hard.
(Sorry I didn't reply sooner... I missed this question!)

@@JTactical would be better to swap the Poly bushes for original/terrain tamer rubber bushes, MUCH better, more compliant and will last way longer. just my 2c.

Where are the arms from? Thanks

Hi Harry, I got them from a company called Raptor 4X4. Here's the link: www.raptor4x4.co.uk/raptor-4x4-front-hd-angled-radius-arms-for-nissan-patrol.html
Mine came black which I'm pretty pleased about, but the site doesn't mention that at all.
      Thanks for watching!
