Agreed but it never would have happened. The choreography of the fight barely sells it being believable. Franco is just too big for him. He could have wrapped him up and taken him down.
@@cafryrmn2550I'm not saying all paid guys do. A vast majority of them don't and are pretty chill. But I've met a few that are way too full of themselves
First time watching the series.....im watching this episode now. I agree with you I liked Franco but the way he was talking about my boy Tommy and his wife got me mad and also last episode where he was eyeing her. Glad Shawn punched him in the face and beat his ass. Loved that they was sticking up for Tommy
@@5wheels178Not necessarily. Size isn't everything in a fight. Franco was a boxer, sure. But Shawn was also a fighter, and I'm pretty sure he grew up playing street basketball. Also, knowing Franco, he was sloppy in the fight because of his ego.
You and me both, pal. I don't know if you're in a paid department or a volunteer department, but I'm in a volunteer department in New York. I can tell you for a fact that the fire service here is more political than ever. Mostly because of cliques, backstabbing and snakes. Out of the dozen or so officers in my department (Chiefs and Line Officers.) I can count on 1 hand how many officers I trust both on and off the fire ground. The more I hear stories about the old-school fire department, the more I envy that generation.
Join the Infantry if you're lucky you'll have one like I had....I met my best friend after a field exercise because he was a California Boy and I was "Midwest white trash" according to him but our Platoon Commander and Platoon Sergeant finally told us we'll get the gloves and in your room and we're gonna figure this out. After he and I slugged it out we just sat on the floor with two Coronas talking personal things together...and it was over still the best of friends.
Damn I love this it's the same in the Marine Corps my old man's city of Dayton Fire 30 years....sometimes yeah this shit gets personal and Lou was absolutely right...Sean and Franco needed this....for Sean to stand up for his future family and for Franco to check his ego...it's a different world.
There are fire boots like that. They're made of leather. Or at least, back in 2011-2012 shortly after the show ended they were still a thing. I don't know if they're sold anymore.
Here's a more modern example of them. www.firerescue1.com/fire-products/apparel/boots/articles/choose-firefighter-lace-to-toe-boots-for-safety-and-comfort-Qf5uwUfOK4NJMfAt/
Niels Jorgensen was a real fdny firefighter. He's retired lieutenant. He was down at ground zero on 911 and lost many of his friends and fellow firefighters. He was diagnosed with cancer from working the recovery effort at ground zero. He was off duty that day, and by the time he got to the towers and down there, they had already collapsed. He commendeered a bus to rush him over to the towers and site. Thankfully, he's still alive
Lou was great here and Franco needed to get put on his ass like that however I was surprised it was sean I thought it was going to be Tommy to whip his ass around when I first watched this Miss this show so much
Franco was calling Tommy a coward because on a call earlier in the day, there were a couple of dead kids. Tommy was still bothered by it when the next call came in, so he stayed at the firehouse.
Correction: They had a call earlier that day where 2 girls got in a car accident. The girl that was driving was drunk, and the passenger, her sister, was DOA. It bothered Tommy a lot because they both reminded him of Colleen and her drinking problem.
yeah me neither. he always had huge ego and feeling himself throughout the whole show. plus moving around Janet when Tommy wasnt there was so lame and disrespectful towards Tommy. Im glad he got served
Franco totally deserved that ass-whooping. His ego was getting out of control.
his ego's has always been out of control...
Tuf Duff Yeah it always has been, but this time he's getting involved in someone's marriage. Which is messed up. lol
MrCervantesent yeah most definitely. He crosses the line a lot and I think here is where he did it more than ever.
Agreed but it never would have happened. The choreography of the fight barely sells it being believable. Franco is just too big for him. He could have wrapped him up and taken him down.
Franco needed to get his ass kicked. I personally think he needed it a lot sooner than this, but this is still better than nothing
Franco has the biggest attitude.
Lou was the moral center of the show haha
another point here as a fireman in training. Never fight a fellow fireman unless sanctioned by another Commanding Officer.
@@djohn3008 Another paid guy with an over-inflated ego, I'm guessing?

I quite liked the character of Franco, but it was really satisfying to see him get owned like that

Was satisfying but not very realistic. Physicality-wise he'd have pulverised anyone else in the crew.

I wish I had an officer like that "let em fight" be a lot less gossiping and backstabbing around my firehouse I bet that

I'm so glad Black Sean owned Franco here. It was very satisfying to see. One does not simply mess with one's family like that.
Yet they bet on Franko looks like some money is owed
"I murdered Gumball" - hahaha
you know this type of shit goes on between the FDNY and the NYPD
As a new yorker this is just another day in the city lol lol
Two Men Can Fight It Out And Be Brothers The Next Day!
Black Shawn is everything for this. Lou ran that but Franco needed to be told that his shit isn’t cool. Miss this show so much 🖤
God I love Lou
1:22 theatrical error. Black Shawn is wearing duty boots instead of fire rated boots that are supposed to be worn with bunker pants

O-Dog came out when Franco called him a coward. Lol
he needed that from black sean

I loved the followup scene next episode where Frank and Sean quashed it and were cool. Then Frank asks him to come see his new gun haha
I love the great redwood crying over gumball
They had problems brewing before Power lmao
All the letters are backwards? What up ? St. Paul Minnesota.
The dead Cat that Nils ran over

I fuckin LOVED lou...Franco was awesome too, a fellow 911 conspiracy guy...
All of franco's boxing training went to shit lol

The driver of the truck ran over a cat named Gumball
Franco got beat down by Sean lol
At this point in the show, as far as I'm concerned, Franco needed to get his ass kicked.
Who were they talking about being a coward.
Franco was calling Tommy a coward because on a call earlier in the day, there were a couple of dead kids. Tommy was still bothered by it when the next call came in, so he stayed at the firehouse.
