I'm super pleased that Leary written down that the actors said 'Hi...' to every alias he used in this session. Really brightens my mood to see that I'm not the only one who seems them as moronic assholes.
You are indeed special. I don't care if you just spent the last 5 years saving kittens, you are standing ready to save ONE human life. In addition, you don't actually kill anyone. You are the REAL hero, my man. That makes you extra special in my book. I salute you, and thank you for your service.
His foundation, The Leary Firefighters Foundation, has raised MILLIONS which has been donated to fire departments across the country for equipment, training and education. What have YOU done?
One thing I noticed about his character is that he always uses his tough job as an exuse to do everyrhing else wrong, drinking, cheating on his wife, being an a**hole most of the time..I mean there are a lot of dangerous occupations out there, police officers, soldiers..I doubt they use their heavy duty to cover up their bad deeds, some of them even do not sin, they're just happy to get back home safe to their families.

There's no shame in trying and then admitting it's not for you. But speaking as a washout myself, the guys who can manage to carry that burden deserve all your respect. And if they are suburban volunteers, just know that without them your taxes would skyrocket to fund a full time fire department just for one township.
There was a "I'm a firefighter" type in my community though. His name was [REDACTED] but yeah everyone thought he was an ass. Not because he was lazy, but because he would use his blue light to pull people over for speeding. In reality few firefighters are like that.
The biggest flaw of this show is that it uses trauma and 9/11 as an excuse for these guys to do some incredibly fucked up stuff. But in terms of firehouse life, it’s the most accurate portrayal I’ve seen.
actually, it does, given the training and constant drilling before you even hit the streets can't say that about a lawyer, so, yes, firemen are special, otherwise everyone would be doing it, speedy
Tommy is not meant to be a role model. He’s an anti-hero. He takes his job seriously but he’s a raging alcoholic who suffers from PTSD which gets him into trouble throughout the series.
I believe this is very definition of having a MELTDOWN!
The back of Tommy's tshirt......the kids are alright. The silent message. Beautiful
not the ones on pete townshend's hard drive!
Love The Who shirt Denis and love you too! So miss "Rescue Me"! Best show ever!

I love this scene and the character of Tommy Gavin. There are NO moronic assholes being represented. That is cruel and not true.

When and why did Tommy get highlights? ❤😂
No such thing as a higher power. If you want to stop it's up to you.
A lawyer needs a court praxis before he can work as well.
Who told him to get highlights 😂😂😂😂 much more approachable 😢

okay, but, not sure what that is, but I'm no lawyer, either
Being a firefighter doesn't make you anything special. Source: I'm a firefighter as well.
I'm pretty sure Tommy is intended to be an example of how NOT to act.
Totally disagree with you. Firefighters are absolutely amazing. Thank you sir

There’s no speech or an interview who were unharmed in the making of this scene.
never said or thought I was special, just answering some other guy's question
You're the kind of firefighter that gives the rest of us a bad name. We're not special....we're just doing a job.
That’s why I hate most firefighters they’re pompous assholes
