A few minutes ago, I read a news story about a FEMA employee who was fired for telling rescuers to bypass homes with Trump yard signs in the aftermath of Hurricane Milton in Florida. That's what brought me here today.
As a firefighter myself I can attest to myself and coworkers making fun of our races, because we see beyond that. This show was making a point to expand on how foolish sensitivity training is with a group of guys who won’t stop and ask what color a person is before we start doing CPR, extricate them from a tangled vehicle, or pull someone out of a burning building. The problem with this job is it’s becoming softer lately, because now if we aren’t catering to everyone’s feelings or coddling some pussy recruit that doesn’t have thick skin, then I guess we’re just monsters. Every single one of those guys in that show would be fired if this show was reality nowadays. It’s sad what we have become lately, ppl are just soft and the ones getting offended sure as hell couldn’t do the job
If anything, if you are easily offended you need therapy. There is nothing that anyone could say that would offend me. What is happening today is certain people are seeking $$$$$$ in the name of racism or gender bias They are only seeking some sort of gain.
As for copyright stuff I thought it off due to the video description, one thing being music since 1 song you can play over and over. Stuff like this, on the other hand, is a trailer. In this case, the episodes are 45-50 min. IIRC, but even a standard short series of around 25 minutes, worst case scenario is it turning people off from buying what they all but guaranteed wouldn't buy anyway, and the likely scenario, at least in the case of gems like Rescue Me, is that it at least makes them go "Wow, I gotta check this stuff out" => more profit for copyright-holders. Sometimes it (always) seems like the almighty algorithm decides things, and if there had just been a semi-sentient human to look through the matter, they'd go: "What? No, we don't care; this is literally free advertising."
As a Puerto Rican, it upsets me as well we only have 1 racial derogatory term I believe in equal number of derogatory racial terms. I think every race should have at least 4 DRTs

FDNY: “Oh no! not our fault, we made them do sensitivity training”
Same in The LFB 🇬🇧 we just sat there and didn’t ask or say anything … get it over and done with .. then back to our station routine 🤷🏼♂️ You work it out pretty quick..say nothing ask nothing cuts the course in half 👍😊
20 years ago and this show's messaging hits on the nail
Bought the box set years ago. Bingeing it again right now.
I’m doing the same on Hulu.
Bring Back Rescue Me.
New age, new era, new characters, No thank you. Would rather watch the reruns than listen to some annoying pink haired whiney actress that's scowling all the time as the lead character.
O’Shea had some of the best lines
Freeze it at 2:20. Great expressions by all three of them!
Laughed my ass off !! Could you imagine if this was played today in 2022 on network tv or whatever video system ?!? God forbid we actually say what everyone-who isn’t offended and triggered- in the room is thinking to themselves !! Yeah, the one fella that stands and leaves, I totally agree with him, that would be a racist !! Someone who refuses to help another in a desperate situation because of their skin color. Funny seeing it played out here !!!
What a treasure of a TV show
A few minutes ago, I read a news story about a FEMA employee who was fired for telling rescuers to bypass homes with Trump yard signs in the aftermath of Hurricane Milton in Florida. That's what brought me here today.
Honestly, that video they watch isn't even unrealistic in 2022
I want to rewatch Rescue Me! There were a few episodes, that I missed over the years!
I was a trainee air traffic controller in 1987 & an old guy did exactly the same thing. Walked it. It wasn’t as comical but quite exciting!
They need to show this in schools in 2022..
The face on their "coach '" when they list of all the slurs is just priceless
My old boss should have been listening to this every day for a year. Might learn something
Love how they all hold up their arms when speaking lol...
They're just trying to be polite...haha
Tommy's GOT a BIG Cold... WHAT??? Finger Sandwich + a Remote Submarine Island with MISFIT Toys 🐝
It's like a beautiful museum piece.
ha so true this is how REAL fire houses are..
There is a big difference between making fun of a racial stereotype and saying something that is actually racist and hurtful.
1:46 the look on his face 😂😂
Showed this to my puerto rican coworker, he laughed his ass off the entire video.
One of the greatest scenes in tv history if you don’t completely hate comedy.
Denis Leary is the leader of this business and This is all I could think about was having to do with my own career for this show Rescue Me.
TV would never these days.
pikachu face: "....i...have a video...." XD
fucking classic XD
I feel like I'm watching one of George Carlin's old comedy specials
Such a great show
I’ve watched this sooo many times that I just noticed this now. Dennis says Chevy neons. Dodge made the neon
This show was awesome!!
One of the funniest scenes ever written. 😂 Norman Lear worthy
If anything, if you are easily offended you need therapy. There is nothing that anyone could say that would offend me. What is happening today is certain people are seeking $$$$$$ in the name of racism or gender bias They are only seeking some sort of gain.
I agree. Fucking greedy assholes.
@@djb1273 ????
As 99% of people know.. this show wouldnt exist if it was made today... Thank god for the old days😂😂
It wouldn’t exist back then.
Dennis Leary is awesome
This whole thing is 100% true especially in today’s day
Our entire society needs to be more like this. Stop being so sensitive and taking everything so seriously.
I understand why this series was removed from programming (in Latin America). Says many truths that nobody wants to hear today.
Love how the last shot we see is of the American flag 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸
Tommy is spot on!
What kills me even more is whoever wrote on the chalkboard “being a proby is WACK”
3:13 She's like "Say that word again and I'll break your fucking jaw!"
Poor bastard had no idea what he was walking into
@ncseal As unfortunate as it is, it's still excellent.
"I'm going outside for a smoke."
The thumbs up at the end of the video 😂😂😂
They crushed his will to live with words and truth.. 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽🍺
Sensitivity can’t save your life
This show was and is legendary
The clip America needs to see.
Gives me RIP Patrice and PC vibes in this clip
Sounds like hanging with some cool ass people is what it sounds like.
As a Puerto Rican, it upsets me as well we only have 1 racial derogatory term
I believe in equal number of derogatory racial terms.
I think every race should have at least 4 DRTs
I'M Going Outside for a Smoke, Way To End It Tommy
Just had training today and made me think of this 😂
