That Tele looks beautiful! Nice paint job! I read that you had trouble with the frets. It may just be the angle the camera was at, but it looked like some of the frets weren't seated all the way. I always check this on kits and necks I buy. I take a plastic fret hammer and tap them all to make sure they're seated all the way down into the fretboard. Then, I usually do a complete fret level and crown. There's a lot of good videos out there on how to to it. It allows you to get good action without any buzzing. Good luck with it!👍😎🎸🎶
I dont mean to be so offtopic but does any of you know of a tool to get back into an Instagram account? I stupidly lost the login password. I love any help you can give me.
@Anders Julius thanks so much for your reply. I found the site thru google and Im in the hacking process now. I see it takes a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
Cool man, I live in MI also. I took an old guitar and put the company I used to work at logo on it then painted the head stock to match the tail of one of our planes. Its in a glass case at the hangar now. I wish I would have made a video of the process
Great video Pete, and your a nice guy, these painting tips are like gold dust, i love that colour it really suits the Tele, amazing job. That guitar looks really expensive, brilliant
Looks great. However, when it comes to drilling and setting a neck, it’s really important to run some string from the bridge to the nut of both E strings to make sure the neck is actually line up. Rolling off the fretboard sucks and so does having to dowel and re-drill a neck. It doesn’t feel like fun to me. It feels more like heart surgery.
You can almost guarantee that you will need to replace the pickups and 3 way switch on any cheap guitar kit. Also the string nut are usually plastic, so get yourself a better nut. Most of the necks are pretty accurate but may need the frets checked and levelled. The most expensive part is the spray painting equipment, the automotive paint and the polishing gear. But it is a rewarding experience if you take your time every step of the way.
Hey man. Great freaking work on this guitar!! I wanna do this build myself but I don’t have proper space or experience to do so....Do you think you can do it for me and I can pay you?
This looks and sounds great - thank you for specifying that the first airbrushing clip was at 8X because for a second there I thought you were some kind of fucking ninja and I was feeling deeply inadequate.
Nice work bro! Great color choice I've been looking for a nice double neck diy kit (12 and 6) and after reading your description I don't think I'll go with a Fretwire kit... I heard Solo up in Canada makes some good quality diy kits, Ever heard of them?
Whiteys Workshop Yea I’ve heard solo has some good stuff. After trying to wire this kit I can’t imagine what wiring a double neck would be like. An absolute nightmare 😂
@@peterstewart9376 Yeah, That gonna be the toughest part... But I've always wanted an SG (Page style) double neck but they cost way to much for me! Lol, The diy kit from solo is 300 bucks!! I'm gonna give it a go, I'll definitely be making a video of it (I only have 1 guitar video on my channel it's mostly model car vids) I hope it turns out nice! Thanks again bro 🎸🎸👍
The Solo kits are the same as pretty much any other, but a little higher quality. I just built a Tele w' ash burl top, and the boxes are identical, the writing on the neck and body are identical, but the box logo is different.
Too mucch on the body finish, whuch you got competely wrong, a clear finish over that Ash would've been better. Now It's Orange ??? Also too little on the pots and swich, parts etc. Widerange pickups or the " newbies' which cannot replicate the 70s type. Fender can't replicate them.
Cool guitar man! Love the sound... great playing!

Love the color choice. I think I would have been tempted to mask off the neck and paint the front of the headstock to match.

Nice job,you could use a 1/4 of the amount of polish and still get that shine FYI
Is it better to scrape the binding or tape it off

im gonna get my fender american professional stratocaster by cort, i think its the g110 not sure. super stoked
pickup selector is wired backwards..
Great build!!!
I'm really used to my EMG sound, but those pickups seem a little low output, or something. Just a little dead
Peter, great video. How did you treat and seal the neck and fretboard?

This is one of the coolest fucking things I've ever seen! Beautiful!!
Finish on back is no Bueno man...
I really like the build but it’s just that tone
Great color! Lots of sanding........

Missed the grain filler

All these guitars are ruined just leave them bare wood sand them and rub a bit of oil on them
