I cant imagine the effort that went to setting up, recording and editing those two different audios seamlessly into one piece while cutting between shots! Keep raising that bar Eamon!! @worldrowing take some notes.
@@kaushikdrbecause they were up by a fair distance the cox decided they didn’t need to bring in heavy racing tiers to take them over the line first. Even though you’re already really sore by that point in the race, taking the rate up/increasing pressure is going to hurt much more.
@@kaushikdr The crew were not asked to dig deep into personal best performance territory to make a wider winning margin that was necessary. Winning with some energy left in reserve
I feel like they should do this at official races, during the race. I feel like this crosses the 'boredom' barrier of watching an entire rowing comp, this (for me) is comparable to watching football tbh.
Hey Eamon, first of all, Great video! Also it was such fun spending the week with you! So sorry, that I didn't have a chance to say a proper goodbye, however I'm sure well meet again at some other regatta in the future :)
EAMON CANNOT MISS! Such incredible perspectives into the racers' experiences & the cadences of the coxes' calls. Well produced & scintillating rowing content...every dang time 👏🏻
Excellent. did you tell them not to swear though? If you had recorded me in 1978 and 79 at HRR you might have needed to edit it a bit more...! Well done though, fascinating.
Truly a unique perspective. Trailblazer in rowing content.
Aww shucks
He put the coxes in stereo on the wide shot and thought we wouldn't be blown away
this shows the difference btweeen uk and us recording it is crazy... listen to the different focuses its insane
Brookes were ridiculous this year, no shame in the loss, WA are world class.

That is some connection in the Brookes blade entry.
So good of the Brookes cox to let the crew off "tiers" of lactate pain for doing such a good job.
What do you mean by letting them off the pain?

What are "official races" to you?

Cox: you've got overlap
Narrator: they did not have overlap
Concise commands with clear repetition - excellent job Oxford Brookes cox❤
