By then she was indie again and was unknown so she tried out for the Voice UK. So she was moving ahead and the old work caught fire. Best thing that could have happened to this amazing artist. Yup she is totally independent. Produces and does it all!! She is truly amazing!! DOnt really watch the voice.. but I think it helps just to put ur career in jump start mode. Besides all the publicity. I don’t think it really matters when they press the button. Sometimes the judges gets so captivated they just take forever to press it. I think they have children, older people, even retirement, age, young youth, and everyone in between that goes on the voice to perform. But she is definitely independent and amazing
It's a bit confusing Brit! I understand that this performance was recorded in late 2022 but aired around 3-4 weeks ago here in the UK. I get your point re song choice, however, they have 90 seconds to impress, song at this stage is the artists choice, I think she chose the song from her repertoire that would showcase both her singing and rapping. Plus, have an ending where she belts! I can't wait until the next round here. Chinchilla has exploded on You Tube, supported Sting on tour but someone of her amazing talent, the next big step has yet to happen. I think The Voice is a great platform for that to occur.

Yeah she had a contract before Covid, that fell through with the Lockdowns etc. So she's going for it again on here, while being an independent artist.. theres a longer version of this video with an introduction where she talks about herself and her background etc, before the performance and they introduce her mother who talks about her also..

This was recorded a year ago and is airing now. Yes, she is eligible to be there. You don’t have to be from the UK to be a coach. Jennifer Hudson was a coach on the uk version as well. Watch the interview part of the show and you will understand a lot more 😊❤
She used to have a deal but it failed during pandemic. So she's been independent recently. Also these shows are tricky. It's strategic to do enough to get their attention but not over do it so you can keep impressing to move forward. Some people lose because their best performances are early and can't top it going forward. Plus she says she has anxiety when singing in front of people. But yeah her recent music is all her

He's involved in lots of charities in the uk with Prince William & King Charles etc . The voice uk had american judges before like Jennifer Hudson & Meghan Trainor . Yes you spotted 83 year old Sir Tom Jones . Ann-Marie & Olly Murs are big stars here in the uk you should react to their songs . I recommend " Ann-Marie - 2002 " and " Olly Murs - Dear Darlin' " .

I think your the first reaction that’s echoed how I felt watching this - this was a good performance, but…we know Chinchilla is a super star artist and for her, this was “ok”. I think they could hear her potential though. I think Tom didn’t turn because he wouldn’t know what to do with Chinchilla and she’s a much better fit with Anne-Marie or Will-I-am. Olly would have been ok, but not in her league IMO.

Hi Britt, Yeah I was equally confused by the audition, and got to thinking.... Her voice sounded quiet almost muted in the audition... Then thinking back with the Duets, Ren does quiet his voice during the duets. In how to be me, she is belting when Ren is just putting average effort in... I love her artistic vision, but is her voice just not loud enough? Sir Tom Jones for example has the most famous belting voice on the planet, he did not even turn.... telling...
