What a nice different cook, fun! It's kind of hard to find gator around these parts, so I'll probably just stick with chicken. I really want to try that seasoning too. Yum! Griddle on! There was a place on Hood Canal (Here in the Puget Sound of Washington) that sold gator, and I was confused because I thought they only lived in Florida. I saw the sign every time we drove by it on our way to our friend's beach cabin. I was like 8 at the time, and didn't ask my parents for some reason about Alligators living here or not. Well finally once my friend and I road bikes to the place I asked the guy selling the gator foods and he said it's all fresh, straight from Florida. I was like dah, of course we don't have them here. He asked if we wanted to try some, and I asked what it tasted like. He said chicken! I then commented back, why not just sell chicken then, you can get it here? Ah youth. He had jerky, fried, and sandwiches, and a bunch of other stuff. We had a few bucks and tried the jerky and fried. I remember liking it. Though I suppose I love chicken too, lol.

You haven't had gator unless you purchased a alligator license and harvested your own wild alligator. It takes it to a whole new level. Gator jowl and the "jelly roll" out of the tail are super tender.

Looked great, had some gator tail on my trip to Florida last year. It was…okay, a bit tough. My griddle top is too domed to fry on, it only puddles around the edges so I have never even tried.
For sure! One of the times we had Gator tail as an appetizer it was super chewy (which surprised me because it was from a place known for their Gator tail!) - crazy! At turns when we’ve moved the griddle and the oil pulls to a corner, I like to take advantage and use the corner for the shallow fry. Take care and GRIDDLE!🤙🤙🔥🔥

Can't go into a joint in Orlando without seeing gator tail. Gator sausage (mixed with pork) is a lot tastier to me. But what isn't. Mix pork with a tennis shoe and it'll taste good...lol

I have to be honest......the only time I've seen gator meat was when the neighbor came back from Florida after a hunt. He had the huge chunk of tail that smelt terrible, looked awful and gave him fits trying to cut it up. I remember leaving before I had to chuck the ups. That being said, I've never had gator, never knew how to prepare it or even where to get it.
