I agree! I love them and are fascinated by the videos, but I would never consider them as pets. The answer to that question is NO. Instead help the organizations that are protecting them from extinction. ❤❤❤
Mountain lions and cheetahs meow too, as do bobcats and lynx. Still, not a house cat. To be honest , mountain lions are less cranky than Pallas cats. It would be a no.
The first time I saw a Pallas cat in a zoo, the kitty was NOT having these tall, furless beasts stare at them. He bared his teeth and seriously hissed. None of the visitors was teasing him but that didn't matter. Get the heck away from me!!
BRAVO! Thanks for informing people that these Pallas cats belong in their wild natural environment NOT in a domestic pet situation. Wild animals of all kinds belong in the wild. People need to stop 🛑 trying to keep them as pets.
I read about a woman who was followed home by a kitten. She raised it for two years. One day when she was out three men broke into her home to rob it. One man surprised the cat sleeping in a closet. The cat ripped his throat out, mauled the second man, and the third escaped in the chaos. The cat was a Pallas cat and was shortly taken to a wildlife sanctuary. Another time a man had broken a window and was trying to get at the doorknob. The ordinary house cat, who's previous owner had it declawed, still managed to severely damage his arm. All cats are badass.
Why would anyone bother trying to keep a Pallas cat as a pet, when there are so many other kinds of cats that go better with human lifestyles? Somebody else in these comments said, let them be, and I agree.
I wish I could go to where they are and see them in the wild, but they are very hard to find/see so I guess that is one bucket list item that won't get crossed off.
You can tell they are wild animals...there is a knowing look behind their eyes, even the kittens have that adult look ....you wouldn't want to mess with these little guys, I bet they throw a bad bite.
Wouldn’t you also have to adapt the temperature to make it more comfortable too with all the dense fu I’d imagine it would overheat kept indoors in warmth were used to if it is an outdoor wild animal and lives in snowy weather??
They are beautiful but I wouldn't have one in the home. I love cats and came across an amazing feral cat who happened to be ready for human touch and wanted safety. Prue was wonderful.
Most zoos keep their animals in very poor conditions that just look nice to the untrained eye. If there have to be breeding projects, then they should be in a suitable space that doesn’t exploit them for money and drives them insane.
Thank you for this video short...see lots of videos of these critters..very cool..was wondering if they have been domesticated...glad they are still wild!!

One Mongolian khan had one as a pet and the manul killed him in his sleep. That aside, manuls are not only territorial, but highly dominant. They dislike being pet and dislike human company. So no, a Pallas cat cannot be domesticated. Even if you raise a kitten, when it grows up, it will run away.
You left out how much they absolutely hate socializing and affection they are not people friendly, but they are gorgeous and are supposed to smell like the freshest air.
In addition to all those negatives they have poor immune systems. They do well in their native environment but they couldn't handle an environment that's less hostile to bacteria, viruses, etc.
