Use of the word 'Flush' gave me hope of DIY skills, not knowing the size of the drill bit was definitely a wobble but then the use of 'Pilot holes' and 'counter sink' squared that away big time.

I got recommended your channel ages ago but wasn’t interested cause I wasn’t into fitness yet, but the same video got recommended to me, the cheap bulking video, and I have to say that this is the one of most entertaining UA-cam channel.
The whole concept of DIY is to ‘do it yourself’ which you have done here, this is a great video for anyone trying to make their own.
It’s well thought out, talks through the right level of detail to avoid mistakes (like why you used washers, not drilling through the air gaps under the rubber, your concerns over hand sawing then explaining it wasn’t too bad)
It’s a great video, an honest account of what happened and you should be proud, it looks fantastic.
Give everyone a truthful update of how it stands up in X months time and its spot on. 👍 Thanks for sharing.

It's the space rather than the cost mate. Have to think about making the best use of the footprint, so for the most part machines that only allow for one/two exercises are out...
