Yo people! Just want to re-iterate a bit thank you to you all for helping my humble dreams come true! I am proper grateful and will do my best to provide some good content in thanks. As I said, I'll be doing another video going through all of the equipment I have, breaking down costs, do's and don'ts and tips for setting up a home gym yourself. Enjoy the video my friends.
Your treadmill wrap looked unreal haha
Ye that shit looked expensive but deffo an investment
As for the treadmill detailing,
It's a metaphor:
Your attention to detail, combined with your stubborn commitment, will take you far.
Unreal
Everything looks great you guys did a great job. Btw that black and green hoodie looks super fresh on you mate! 😎 So satisfying to finally have your own gym, congrats!
Pretty much any other UA-camr would've made this into 3-4 separate videos. I mean that as a compliment. You've condensed the whole process and given the people quality, not quantity. Absolute legend mate. Gym looks sick.
Haha I know mate, I just felt like it would be sicker to have it in one video 🤷🏼♂️
Joe Delaney you were right, as usual
I believe that was the old UA-cam. Now you get the same revenue in 1 long video compared to multiple smaller videos due to mid roll ads?
@@ocean5769 I have no idea tbh.
Ocean You get the same ad revenue (in theory), but you get less engagement. The algorithm favours frequency above all else. Even if all else was equal, UA-cam’s algorithm would favour you uploading 3x per week as opposed to 1x per week. But not all else is equal; you also get more views. If someone uploads 1 30min video per week and it gets 100k views, and 10k likes, if that person instead made 3x 10min videos per week, they would likely get 100k views and 10k likes per video just the same, so on net balance, plus UA-cam’s favouring frequency about all else, it would be much more beneficial (on paper) to split this into 3 videos.
Such a talented young man so so so underrated a very hard working fam my respects
What’s does that have to do with anything
You’re Gay doesn’t exactly look old now does he mate
I agree he’s one of the only fitness influencers that don’t lie about Themselves and doesn’t promote bullshit
For painting some walls and putting rubber mats down
@@dannyfreeman2286 I don’t see you with 350 k subscribers with a home gym and your own house payed for by ur passion not your job u are a prick
goalsssssss, smashed it
Assembly by myself was not too hard. I took my time and followed the diagrams. I particularly like the pictures and names of the exercises organized by muscle groups on the front of the ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxKJHyBZ9I1py9vVi-XLpEBg0y-qmdhn3q . Considering the number of exercises it has a relatively small footprint. I needed a machine that was not too tall because I only have 79" headroom in my cabin and this was just over 78". It is easy to use, seems to be well made, and I am pleased with my purchase. I am doing upper body muscles on Monday and Thursday. Lower body exercises are being done on Tuesday and Friday. Not using it on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday. I am a reasonably fit 66 year old man and this is a great workout.
The evolution of King Joey D
You need to do a video of Rob and Joe christening the gym! Leg day 💪
Please collab again
The excitement on Joe's face when he realises the floor is done and this whole home gym thing is actually happening was great to see. What a project and what a dude.
The rubber matt fitting perfectly round that pillar was one of the more aesthetically pleasing things I've seen.
“Never done DIY before” dude just built a whole gym in his garage and it looks dope as hell lmao
My thoughts exactly! Sick treadmill wrap btw
Painted the floor and some walls. Moved in some gym equipment. Didnt build fuck all. Stick to nutrition and training! Leaving building to us pros
@@m2dat791 oh sorry, he took pieces of a home gym that were not together before... and put them together. You could say he CONSTRUCTED his home gym. Otherwise known as “building”. The fuck did you expect him to do? Weld the equipment together? Order the treadmill in pieces and assemble it like a damn lego set?
@@nicholas6081 ignore the idiot
Yeah I thought the same when he was using the jigsaw etc
This is the first time I watch a 20+ video uninterrupted. Your content is insane. You are a good man, Greetings from Algeria 😊
Great job man !
Je pensais pas te trouver là 😂
Great video. Planning, prep, attention to detail. All these things make a huge difference. Well done.
14:18 anxiety through the roof of not sawing the benches 😂😤
you should have 'primed' the floor before you paint. The 'primers' job is to 'seal' the dust and stop the the floor from absorbing the water in the paint too quick soo that your paint goes much further.
Yep, lesson learned.
@@JoeDelaneyy in the future, if you went ahead and painted those roof timbers (they're called 'rafters') black, with strips of led lights running around the top permiter of the garage, you would have one sick looking neon gym room.
@@JoeDelaneyy also to add, get the electrician back round and have him wire up your speakers to the main power supply. I know you're worried about hideous wires being on show, but they are literally only a few mm thick and come in black colour which easily be hidden by attaching it on the rafters (the wood that makes up your roof). You won't want the hassle of having to take the speakers down and charge them. He can also wire the perimeter led strip lights too.
You could also get it to sync to your music if using the philips ambilght strips and kit.
@@AJ-ds5gf i like humans with useful knowledge thanks mate
Absolutely quality video, Joe! The garage looks class - well done for making it happen 💪
Solid effort joe. Your the most appreciative UA-cam there is out there and it's super refreshing to hear a genuine thank you to the followers cause most others are not sincere eith their work. Beat wishes to you new place!
Miss your podcast mate. Hope to hear new episode soon :)
Will get some up mate 💪🏻
Yesss
When a UA-camr is humble like Joe. You just love for them to succeed. 👏
LARGE LARGE love for Joey D. You're so inspirational to me mate and I really appreciate all the effort and time you put into everything you share with us. I've loved seeing your progress and watch you grow and achieve your goals along your unique life path. Thanks mate
Happy for you, mate - appreciate the hard graft you have put in and good to see you finally reward yourself. Gym looks absolutely sick!
I watch UA-cam every day and this is the first video I’ve actually been assed to click the ‘thumbs up’ on in like two years lad.
Well done
Holee freeeking Sheeeet. I have been watching Joey D's videos for about a year and half and just the transformation in the man himself in the last 4 years is absolutely insane. Gone from videos about grafting girls to - lets do some DIY in this house I bought. For someone that has not had much prior experience in DIY'ing this is absolutely insane. What was amazing was the amount of care he took at every single point to get things right and make them look good. Not Good enough - but GOOD. You have seriously achieved more during this COVID period than many of us have in the last 10 or 15 years. Keep pumping out these great videos and keep inspiring!
Joey D - a sound lad.
A few months ago, you were making the best of yer home workouts with pullups from the Scaffolding outside yer flat, as everywhere was closed and everything was falling down. And now you've got this insanely amazing gym to be proud of. What a cool progression and change to see. Well done. Looking forward to the episodes of training comin at us from the new surroundings.
Very well done 👏 Looks sickk!
As if! My fave farming UA-cam commenting on gym videos
Good man tom
Smashed it mate - looks absolutely brilliant.
I know I’m getting old when I’m finding this more exciting and therapeutic than workout videos these days
Same mate lol
Really enjoyed watching this. You’ve inspired me a lot over the past year already, never imagined you’d inspire me to paint my garage floor. 🤣
Literally the best video I've seen with regards to setting up a gym at home. No bs, straight to the point and very informative. 10/10
How much is a monthly membership? Does it also come with free PT sessions from the owner?
Absolutely outstanding job. Congrats!
Absolutely class Joey D, smashed it and the fact that you have pretty much done it all on your own...amazing! Back to more fitness vids now. Great watch 👌🏼
So satisfying seeing it all come together. Nice work JD. Great vid.
The fact he did it by himself makes this more impressive and it’s pretty fking impressive 👌 A man of many trades.
Putting Matt to shame, doing it all yourself. Dope.
I mean they did have to put up the building and roof aswell, bit harder haha but yeh good yo see him do it himself
Respect. Loving these DIY style videos. Home projects always seem super intimidating. It's very motivating to see someone that usually doesn't make these kinda vids get it done
Yes mate, UA-cam is your friend when it comes to having a go at some DIY. Anything you want to do, there will be a video of somebody who knows what they're doing explaining it.
More than happy to watch, one of the best, honest and most down to earth in the fitness industry. Enjoy it mate you deserve it.
Second video of yours I’ve watched mate, really refreshing watching a fitness related video that’s not just a bunch of fake enthusiasm etc. great stuff 👍
thanks buddy
That’s a nice garage that. Makes you want to graft harder for your own. Inspirational as always JD 👍🏻
Facts. Didn't even know I wanted one before the video
Been watching you for the last year and It's good to see all the work you've put in pay off.
Wow! Amazing job. You and Mags put a lot of time and labor creating your gym. Congratulations. Enjoy all your future workouts.
Banger 🔥
Looks sick mate, congrats on the house and gym!
Amazing job mate! Really showing what you can do yourself when you put your mind to it 💪🏼
Looks sick Joe, great job! Tanks for sharing your thoughts, ideas and in general just existing on youtube for us to take part.
In Germany we call someone like you ''Ehrenmann'' :D Great content, thank you Joey. Stay happy
For someone with limited DIY skills it looks like a proper professional set up. Well done mate
Well bloody done Lad. Just finished putting together my home gym and it was fun watching your journey too.
Bro best home gym creation video Ive seen! Proper content!
I’ve done the exact same thing as this and also underestimated the amount of floor paint. Using a roller took more paint than a brush, so I resorted to that and scraped by. It was more time consuming but that’s what wives are for.
I also settled for 2 coats. With the mats on top, it is ok so far.
I used masonry paint for the bricks.
Yours looks a lot better than mine, as I don’t have much patience and slopped it on. Good work
Joe, thanks for the wholesome content - you're such a pleasant human being ;)
Simple. Clean. Perfect. Nice work
I have watched probertly every UA-cam homegym videoes there is and you are deffently one off the best ones I have seen until now. Love that you are rapping the treadmill so everything can match. You are in for the details. Thumps up
Impressive stuff, looks sick. Speaker solution on the other hand... clapped
There’s no way you can build a home gym when you haven’t done any DIY ever in your life
Joey D: “Hold my Egg whites”
This is so sick dude 😳
Really enjoyed to see how much effort you put in this build. You deserve it 😘
Absolutely nailed it mate. Very well done
Great effort JD.Gym looks great. I know how fatiguing manual labour is when youre not used to it!!
Congratulations Joe, it looks amazing. The only thing you installed that I personally wouldn’t is the treadmill. Running on the road is better and you can also use a jump rope on a rainy day
your attention to detail in the littlest things is very proper
Crazy how far this Channel has come, Great work Joey D
Imagine having that in your garage, would be unbelievable
Top class lad - going to use this as a template for when we move! Just need a sauna and your set!
this was fantastic man, great work honestly
Looks brilliant mate all the best in the new house
That home gym looks absolutely sick!
the 4 dislikes did not want black paint
Now that is an awesome conversion! Nice work! Definitely gym goals right there!
Hey man super proud to see this and just wanted to say keep moving forward man much respect without you I would not be calorie conscious so much thanks to you as well!
The way he says "OONDER THE FLOOR MATE. " 😂😂. sick home gym btw joe….
Only 6 dislikes... You know Joey d has those true fans
Unreal mate.. absolute goals! 👏🏼👏🏼 happy lifting big man
Love to see hard work paying off! Well done, looks great! xx
I've gotta givebyou more credit that you give yourself.. this is not the first major project you have committed and completed. Your continuously doing so and for this, your a great role model
Mate, if you actually haven't done DIY before this is well impressive.
awesome video man congrats on the setup its so clean
Beautiful!
You are a proper grafter!
btw - I feel like I should be thanking you for all the inspiring content during these bleak past few months.
Joey D lifting seminars in his garage when?
Mate this looks absolutely different gravy
Congrats on the sick gym, Joe. Really enjoyable video.
Absolutely smashed it! Rated! Looks sick
Joey, you bought some heaters? it's gonna get pretty cold in there soon! Take it from a fellow home gymer.
Haha nope, not yet. I will insulate when it comes to it I think
Don't need heaters imo, I enter my garage gym with three layers on in the winter and end up with just a t-shirt on, you soon warm up, or I do.. ...
Joe talks like Gordon Ramsey lmao with thoes little pauses
Absolutely making a home gym once I get my new place. Cannot wait. Thanks for the inspo
Congratulations Mr Delaney. It’s awesome
The sense of pride I reckon you have after doing all that must be some dopamine hit
Your home gym is nicer than the gym I go to.
Why did I enjoy watching it well done Joe D absolutely legend keep up the hard work
Love following your journey, wishing you good health and good fortune
"I'll just use me hands" lol exactly :)
But where are you gonna put the car mate ?
On the drive I'm guessing mate.
priorities innit?
Park it next to the treadmill
Who needs a car when you’re training to be a tank
motorcicles
Bro properly glued throughout this video. Class 👌🏽
Top stuff mate and love those new homes they are right around the corner from me!
17:08 is it really a garage gym without one of these bad boys
Should get Tommy B to abstract up that black wall.
I don’t even go to the gym man but I love your videos. Listening to your rants and Joey D waffles are really quite therapeutic! Keep working hard mate and doing what your doing, glad to see it’s paying off.
Your gym is so awesome brother. I didn't think the black and gray color scheme would work, I thought it would shrink the gym, but it made the gym look roomier. Your attention to detail has gotten you your own gym. I've had a home gym since 2016 when I was recovering from cancer, and it has really saved my life, now with a global pandemic and having your gym; well you're a genius. I feel for those who love training and had no access to a gym. Enjoy your gym. It's an awesome gym
Joe ‘DIY’ Delaney
Joey D? More like Joey DIY!
Ha
Ha
When I was watching this I felt like I was experiencing the dream come true with you, can tell you're so grateful and you deserve it mate, keep smashing it
Very inspirational man! Good stuff! Definitely something I want to work towards.
