This is the ULTIMATE somewhat affordable daily driver. If I could buy and maintain one I'd so buy one. However the closest I'll ever get is probably the Integra type s

This grill is going to be a magnet for stone chips and road debris. I can already see how pieces from this grill railing will be chipped or missing and that will be a $1200 repair.
I like the M440i Gran Coupe very much, but am also really annoyed that the 420 is not available in North America. I drove a 420d for several days in France earlier this year, and really liked it: plenty powerful enough for daily driving, nice amount of hatchback storage, and a lot cheaper than this M440 Gran Coupe.
I like the car. Nice looking on the outside, practical and nice inside. However, I ABSOLUTELY hate the grille. It just does not fit the good looks of the car. They should have shrunk the grille. M340i grille size.

Hey Topher, what did you think about the weight of the steering? I'm driving a 2023 M440i Coupe, and the steering is ridiculously heavy in non-sport modes at parking lot speeds, or when taking a 90 degree turn at say 20-25 mph. Wondering if there's something wrong with the steering in my car, or if all BMWs these days have heavy steering
i have a 5 series. i can assure they drive nothing alike. 5er is a lot floatier and big feeling but way smoother and luxurious. i know they're close in size and weight but BMW tunes them very differently.
Will there be power seat in the future? I went to dealter today and I was told the power seat is deleted due to chip shortage, will there be power seat version of M440I GC coming out in the future?
As an M340i owner, the noise floor sounds higher in this POV than the 3. The looks, I think, are also a pretty large downgrade. I’d get this over an SUV, but if you are looking for a sedan, I think you’d be making a huge mistake to get this over the 3.
Sorry to tell you but the m440i gran coupe is the flagship and bmw has put more tech and money built into it. I would take the m440i over the m340i but it does cost much more money to get the gran coupe 💰
As an M340 owner, I agree 100%. I was really looking forward to an M performance hatchback but this design is horrible. I wonder if my m340 will be my last BMW.
I was curious myself. Here it is from BMW "the driver attention camera allows your BMW to see the driver via a camera in the instrument cluster. It observes the head and eye position of the driver to verify attentiveness to the road. The system increases comfort and safety while driving. You can also deactivate the Active Cruise Control driver attention camera if you no longer want the feature to take place. This can be completed via your touchscreen in driver settings."
I'm sure this is a great daily driver, but it's a complicated machine that I wouldn't want to maintain outside of the lease period. BMW makes phenomenal cars these days but I pity the 3rd owner who has to maintain this beast 7-10 years from now.
@@ahasidic7172 that's why it pays to be the original owner. You definitely will pay a hefty premium but you have years of no maintenance costs and warranty coverage.
Love the paint options just not this combination. Green body with gray mirriors, glossy black wheels, red calipers and tan interior? If I were to wear these colors all at once I would look like a clown.

By the way, unlike many other people I really don't mind the big grill. I experienced the new M3 in the flesh and it's amazing, looks just mean and menacing.

The front grille is just beyond ugly. For that reason alone I’d pick the m340i over it. I think m340i looks way better and is still an absolutely incredible driving machine.

I used to hate this car but this color is amazing, it makes me say it is a beautiful car.

Unpopular opinion: if you’re considering this car, just get the 5 series
i have a 5 series. i can assure they drive nothing alike. 5er is a lot floatier and big feeling but way smoother and luxurious. i know they're close in size and weight but BMW tunes them very differently.

get the M3 if you can afford it. It outclasses this in basically every way.

My only real issue with this car are the manually adjustable seats. Don't really want something like this in a vehicle that expansive 🤷🏻♂️.
