Concerning cranes toppling over: Okay, I know next to nothing about construction equipment, but couldn't cranes be equipped with sensors to detect when it is nearing the limits of its stable area and shut things down before the operator can take it any further? Maybe it could even reverse the most recent movements of the crane that brought it into the unstable region.

And they do nothing to help when you think you’re setup on a firm surface and part of it suddenly gives way under you. That is the most common problem with cranes and boom lifts. The problem is not how much they are lifting but how far out they go from the base. That indicates a setup problem in that the operator setup the crane in the wrong position.

idk why i watch some of these videos they make me so mad! seriously I want to see a full video of people in third world countries not being completely senseless idiots. Not overloading their vehicles and not driving the too wide overloaded vehicles over two downed trees with nothing between them. I understand that might be the only road but why do you have to go with the too wide vehicle and why overloaded so that there is not one chance it will make it across. also i want to see someone using a crane who's vehicle weighs more than what they are trying to lift with it! you know some one with some common sense. just because they are using poor quality equipment with no safety regulations or gear doesn't mean that human life should be treated as just a cheap commodity. lol ok rant over but geez , surely not everyone is this dumb just because its a third world country! (yes i know these things happen in 1st world places too just not as often or with such disregard for everything).
