    How on earth are you so wise at your age?! I only wish I would have had your attitude decades ago. I'll be 51 on Sunday and I'm losing weight (I have about 100 pounds or so to go) but it's more challenging as I'm facing menopause. Good for you that you've turned your life around while you're young. I wish you all the best!

    Your voice is so calming and serene! It helps me so much to listen to you when I'm internally freaking out... I'm on only my second day, so far so good! But your calm and peaceful aura, definitely helps me stay calm through out this process... I'm attempting to quit cold turkey, I'm kind of that all or nothing type of personality... I'm gonna do this, and you are so inspiring and helping me slowly realize I CAN!

    I am on the ketogenic diet right now. I had lost 30 lbs, but I fell off the diet and gained back 8 lbs, so I'm now at 22 lbs lost. I'm getting back on track and hope to lose approximately 85 lbs more. When I am in ketosis I have killer workouts, and it has gotten rid of my arthritis as well.

    I don't know if your aware but the impact you have had on on most of us watching is extraordinary.
    This is the type of content people need to see, I like how you make it seem obtainable for everybody, because it is! So many people think it's a pill or just getting surgery, or starving yourself, etc etc. Watching your videos I realize, that sure trying to get in shape after not caring for so long is gonna sucks at first but the results, which aren't always physical are amazing.Sometimes the results are: You slept decent because you've been working out, your anxiety or depression diminishes, you can jog/walk a mile, or you just all confident and happy with yourself aresome of the best results you see/ feel. Losing weight is truly a lifestyle change, it's making a commitment to yourself. That's the truth. If you want to love who you are and feel comfortable in your own skin YOU have to be the one to decide that and make positive little steps towards that goal. No one can force you and nothing can help you unless your truly want it.Thanks for being real. I love your input on weight loss/ your story!!💗 your such a brave person for getting in front of the camera. Keep it up girly you are on the path to some greatness😊Hope to see more videos!xoxo

    Love that you aren't calorie counting! When I originally lost 65lbs 10 years ago I counted calories and had a borderline eating disorder. No surprise that I gained all the weight back and then some because it wasn't realistic. What you are doing is life time changes! You are so lucky to figure this out so young!

    You are such an inspirational, wise young lady - and so very beautiful - inside and out. I wish I had your strength and determination when I was in my 20's. I'm 36 and 2 years into keto - and have plateaued for the past 4 months. 114 lbs down, and still have over 200 lbs to go. People like you that share your stories, share part of your lives with us - you have no idea how much it means to people like me who struggled, daily, with the battle going on inside my own head. Thank you for taking the time to put these videos together for us. It is greatly appreciated. Keep shining!

    Please keep posting, I just started my journey and I am needing help! This is making it seem so much more doable and obtainable. I would love to see more work out options or what you feel worked for your body. I'm very afraid of going to the gym for self confidence issues and fear of not knowing what to do there. I'm on the intermediate diet. I start with an ACV, lemon juice, water, cayenne or black 2 times a day, I drink a lot of water. I'll have a Green Detox drink with 1 scoop of collagen peptides and benefiber, berries, flaxseed or chia seed and kale or spinach. Eggs and toast with avocado or oatmeal for breakfast. Salad with fruit. Peppers, cucumber, celery and hummus to snack. Fish, salmon, chicken or turkey, vegetables with tea for dinner. I cut out red meat, whites, pasta, no sugar but I do have 1 cheat day guilty pleasure is chips or ice cream. You are doing great and I love the video

    Great video! Just an FYI my FAVORITE herbal tea is Celestial Seasoning Sleepytime tea. It doesn't make you sleepy, it's just caffeine free. But, when I'm bored with my ice water I will drop a bag in and leave it there all day (adding more water as I drink). It's really delicious. Sometimes I'll add a slice of lemon or ginger. Good luck on your journey and continued success your way!

    You look Fabulous! I am getting so motivated by your videos. I am doing the weight watchers ( for the 100th time lol) . I lost 50 pounds last years but I had a lot of dental work so I gained about 35 pounds back. I'm trying to get back on track.i Agree if you have a mad craving you are better off to have a small version or just have it. I found I will eat so much more trying to eat all around the thing I'm craving and then just have what I was craving. Your skin is sooo beautiful you have like a beautiful " Glow" about it. You would be an Amazing weight loss leader or life coach, you are so intelligent and inspiring. What is giving you that beautiful glow , Is it the Chia? Thank you for a motivating video, please do more videos you are helping me so much! I am trying to give up my Diet Coke but I love it so much I'm cutting back a lot and drinking more water.

    Sounds like your nutritionist has you dialed in pretty good. You might consider adding acetyl L-carnitine to your daily supplements. acetylized not regular L-carnitine. It will increase your body's ability to burn fat for fuel. It's great stuff for losing fat.
    Keep up the good work, you're doing great. I'm going to sub so I can keep up with your progress.

    Great Job.! portion control has always been my issue as well.. I too, have switched to the smallest size plates, unless its mostly veggies.. then i don't measure those, if its a mixed dish (like rice w/ veggies) then I use the smaller size. I lost 6 lbs, just switching to all plant based diet, then I did a juice cleanse for 12 days and lost another 8 lbs. I'll use the juice if i can't get some extra lbs off... but will do juice or smoothie for breakfast and/or snack. Its all about mind set.. and being mindful of what we put into our bodies....! Jo

      When she said she did something "cold turkey" that's a phrase we use to say that she changed it abruptly.
      She didn't use any method to ease her way into it slowly. She went right from eating very poorly straight into eating very healthy without any transition period.

    Hi. Im vegetarian. Can you please tell me what plant based protein you eat ??

    • @katerinakrejsova5645
      @katerinakrejsova5645 7 років тому

      I think you are fucked :) I am vegetarian too and i think it is not possible to cut out all carbs. Especially when you know that soya is not as healthy as you can think. You can t live just on vegetables. You can still loose weight and eat healthy but the carbs intake will be higher than for meat-eating people, the weight loose will be slover. You should focus on eggs, cottage cheese, vegan protein shakes and no processed food and minimaze fat intake. It is documented that people on high-carb low-fat diet loose same amount of weight as people on low-carb high-protein diet.

      My main source of plant based protein is tempeh (along with nuts, seeds, lentils etc). I also use Iron Vegan Sprouted Protein.

    I've learned there is protein in almost everything we eat. We don't need the meat but " to each his own". Trying to cut down on the meat, fat and dairy myself. No protein powder needed. :p Meat can replaced with starch.

    Can I ask you something? Why do you have to put "artificial" protein powder and not just eat a yogurt or drink some milk? Which are the disadvantages? Thanks in advance. Greetings from Greece!!!!! :)

  • @EmilyGloeggler7984
    @EmilyGloeggler7984 6 років тому

    I avoid those commercial nut and grain waters because they usually add artificial and chemical ingredients that are harmful to your body. If I do have the tools to do so, and if I feel like it because I'm not a vegan or vegetarian, I will make my own organic nut/grain waters (because that's really what they are.) But I only drink those rarely because I don't really care for them and I only drink them when I feel like it. For the most part, I try to stick with pure unpasteurized grass-fed/pasture-raised raw animal dairy, fresh pressed/squeezed fruit juice , herbal teas like Pau d'Arco or Butterfly Pea tea (the latter is AMAZING), unfluoridated water (which is a huge key - alot of bottled waters are sadly fluoridated and cause terrible damage to the human body. (If in doubt or open-minded, research The Fluoride Action Network online or you can watch the documentary "The Great Culling" for more medical and scientific information on that), and sometimes I will drink unfluoridated water with Bragg's ACV/coconut oil and a dash of organic grapefruit juice or cayenne pepper or organic non-GMO pineapple juice added to it. As for food, I avoid any artificial/fake food like "fast food" and anything with artificial ingredients or chemicals. Here's a key tip - read the label and research the ingredients on all sides. Don't necessarily trust what the makers or experts say - because the reality is that they are often paid to tell falsehoods to the public in order to sell their product. Doubt it? Research it) I also endeavor to avoid anything that has been genetically modified (aka GMOs), so if its fruits or veggies or grain or an animal that has been given or exposed to GMOs via their feed or their pasture - then absolutely not. (Research March for Monsanto for more on that and read up both sides of the fence for an informed decision, although - keep in mind, a lot of the companies promoting GMOs are there to sell their method and IMHO, I have found the ex-GMO promoters to be more forthcoming) Also, I avoid eating rice because of the high arsenic count and instead use alternative options for organic grains like barley, amaranth, quinoa, etc. I also avoid eating anything with added artificial hormones, colorings, flavourings, etc. Researching what those ingredients are actually made from and what they can do to the human body alone is abhorrent, to say the least. Be aware when you go out and treat yourself eating out - many places DO not use organic non-GMO produce or foods. As tedious as it is, you have to seek them out but luckily, with the Internet that does much of the search work for you. I also go grocery shopping at organic/natural based grocery stores because they often tend to have better quality products ALTHOUGH (this is key) - even there they sometimes will try to sell the aforementioned. The best advice that I can give to anyone, regardless of how they want to eat or lose weight, is READ labels. If it is not a natural ingredient or has a long chemical name or if your in doubt, RESEARCH. The Internet has made it increasingly easier to do so, so we're not left completely in the dark as we did during the 1990s and prior. Otherwise, I definitely don't believe that one needs to use a gym to lose weight and, despite the fact that I hate exercise and it actually increases my stress (which I'm comfortable and realistic in embracing and I have learned that it is okay! - Haters I don't care what you think of me and it just goes to show you that the so-called experts don't know everything - aka the one-size approach fits all - Newsflash it definitely does not!), I know its something that needs to be done. I personally de-stress indoors rather than outdoors (because I'm one of those people who get stressed out going outside, not because of people but I find outdoor activity more dull/boring than indoor activities like going to a concert, going window shopping, going to see show, do ballet, etc.) and have found that works the best for me, given everything above.

    Run Everything Labs is owned by former Ms. Olympia, Dana Linn Bailey & her husband. They make excellent products! I bought their vegan chocolate protein powder and it's WAY better than Vega. I tried Vega when I first started plant-based protein and it was SO hard to drink. REL's is amazing! I used chocolate almond milk w/it and it definitely tones down the green taste; but even using it w/2% milk wasn't bad at all! (:
