Replacing a Worn out snow blower Auger Housing Impeller Bearing!
In this video, I show you how to "split" a snowblower, as this is required for a bearing replacement.
Once the snow blower is split, we look at the possible ways of removing the pulley (as this needs to come off to access the bearing).
We later find out that the pulley is seized to the auger shaft, and we need to use our Propane/Oxygen torch to heat it up (which expands the metal) thus allowing us to remove the pulley.

Very good on explaining and showing detail by detail and giving helpful hints on removing the pulley that was a good idea with that shin by the way and using the ball joint removal tool very good video
Nice use of the tie rod removal tool with the homemade shim to remove the pulley since this will not distort the pulley since you are applying pressure to only the thick inner flange diameter of the pulley. If your Eliminators are going to use a flywheel puller for removal they would need to drill holes as close as possible to the inner flange or they would distort the pulley and need to replace it.
Not necessary to remove bottom two bolts to separate the auger housing. The auger housing pivots on the bottom studs, only have to remove the top 2 bolts.
Funny thing I just pick up, one for free 10/29, presently getting her back together,I have the double pulley. And stumbled on your video.

Have you tried the 80/20 mix of Trans fluid/Acetone as a penetrating fluid. Works better than anything I've ever used.
No I've never used acetone, normally we use an ATF/Diesel mix as a great penetrating oil
Great video. Hope you can help. I have a Husqvarna 924 HV #961930052. I noticed when I engage the auger the entire assembly moves up and down as if it was loose. I also able to move it up and down manually by hand. Any ideas? Thank you.
Nice one... again. Is there a downside to putting a thin film of grease on the new bearings when installing them? Any chance you could look for a Yamaha snowblower to do an auger / impeller rebuild on? :)
Grease or oil is always good, and I've always wanted to work on a Yamaha but I don't get them here unfortunately. Thanks for watching!

How does the light on it work?
Not sure if it works, I forget now lol usually the factory ones don't put out much power to begin with. Aftermarket LED lights work best.
I'm really surprised that you didn't use the pulley puller on the pulley, instead of using the arc welder to get it off. That probably wouldn't have damaged the pulley. And you had a pulley puller!

That's actually the impeller bearing.
Technically it's the main auger housing bearing, with the 2 auger "bushings" up front on either side.
However, this part is commonly referred to as an Auger bearing, so that's what I called it 👍
That's the impeller, not the augers.
